16 The Tower VII-4th Floor

"I'll get started on the floor now then."

[Go ahead climber, I'm eager to witness your path.]

[You will receive 1 level and F-rank [Fated Ring] as a reward for clearing the 3rd Floor!]

"Better than nothing I guess."

A ring appeared in my hand along with a description.

[F-Rank [Fated Ring]: A Ring of fate, once it has fulfilled its fated purpose it will turn into ash.]

"So vague," I said as I put it on.

I then looked towards the wolves playing with each other.

"Good job, pups," I said, giving each of them a pat on the head. "We made it through another one."

"WOOO!" they replied, their tails wagging happily as they basked in our victory.

[Will you enter the 4th Floor?]

[Warning: The 4th Floor has a 0% survival rate in all of the tower's endless millennia of history.]

"Can you explain what it is a little bit?" I questioned.

[Hint 1:It is a 3-man team floor.]

[Hint 2:It's a horde survival format: 16 hours of survival and 8 hours of rest time.]

[Final Hint: The duration of the floor is 4 Days]

"That sounds horribly annoying… go into it."

[Teleporting climber [John Crand] to the 4th Floor.]

"Get ready wolves, it's going to be a long one."

Instantly the scene around us changed to one of a ruined village. Seemingly from medieval times.

[The mission is [Survive] for 16 hours a day for a duration of 3 days.]

[Reward(John Crane): All accumulated experience points X10. [Lone Star Dagger Duo], [Skill Scroll].]

"Woah! Let's get started already tower! What's taking so long-"

In that instant a person materialized right in front of me, a woman with light pink hair and beauty like no other. My breath was almost taken and the [You died] notification almost appeared, a graceful body and an incredible face that radiated innocence and extreme beauty were too much even for [Cold Heart]. Even the corporate heiresses and Brazilian and German models using surgery and cyberware to increase their beauty paled in comparison to her.

Only one question stood at the tip of my tongue.

"Why is such a woman in the [Suicide] difficulty?" I thought to myself.

"Hello?" She said with a gentle voice

Despite the dire circumstances, her graceful demeanor and stunning appearance commanded my attention.

"Hey there," I replied, offering her a casual nod. "I didn't expect to meet someone else in this difficulty. I'm John, by the way."

"John," she repeated, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. "I'm Luna."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Luna," I said, flashing her a smile. "So, what manner of devilish whispers made you choose the [Suicide] difficulty?"

She let out a small laugh, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Well, let's just say I may have pressed the wrong difficulty level when I tapped the interface."

I chuckled in response, nodding in understanding. "Yeah, it seems we're both in the same boat. But hey, where's the fun in taking the easy way out, right?"

Luna's lips curved into a grin, and she nodded in agreement. "Exactly. Though we should probably look after our souls more"

"Definitely," I said, feeling a sense of friendship forming between us. "Well, since we're in this together now, how about we watch each other's backs?"

Luna's smile widened, and she nodded in agreement. "Sounds like a plan, John."

I was nearly smitten by her smile but before I could respond a voice cut me off.

"So there are 3 of us? My name's Arthur, you two?"

A man in his early 20s with shorter stature and brown hair materialized. He had a kind-looking face and an unremarkable build.

"I guess we are!" Replied luna.

"I'm John, this is Luna. Did you also choose the wrong difficulty?" I replied.

"*Sigh* the worst mistake ever, I've been just barely surviving so far, and now this survival floor…"

"The higher the risk the higher the reward, so if we don't die it's going to be Christmas morning!" I attempted to ignite some enthusiasm.

"Christmas? I haven't heard of that in years! You must come from a smaller city then."

"I do, I was born in Daycity," I replied.

"That accursed place?" even Luna was surprised.

I shrugged with a chuckle.

"Didn't really get to choose. What about the two of you?"

"Oh, I'm from Nouveau Paris," Luna said.

"I'm from Royce Villa Island," Arthur said.

Silence spread for a good 20 seconds.

"ROYCE VILLA ISLAND?!!" Luna exclaimed in shock.

"That place is for Corpo heirs and big pharma families right?!" I asked.

"True, my father Is Hideoshi Noba, and my mother is Katherine Nobelle."

This time even I almost fainted.

"Hideoshi Noba? The owner of the biggest weapons company in the entire world, NobaTech?!" I asked.

"Katherine Nobelle? The CEO of the biggest pharma corp in the world, ManaMedical?!" Luna exclaimed.

"Exactly," he replied nonchalantly.

"Fucking hel-"

[Mission [Survive] will start in 30 seconds!]
