Genesis January 2nd, 0001:

As I opened my eyes I was greeted by water dripping onto me from the tree leaves, as expected it had rained last night. As I got up I was suddenly hit by hunger, I had almost forgotten that I hadn't eaten anything since yesterday, so today my goal was to go hunting for food. Before I did though, I had to build a weapon.

Although I was fairly confident that I could use the puma fangs to kill predators, that didn't mean that I was comfortable fighting in close quarters, so I decided to build a spear. I knew that making a hammer or even an axe, although time-consuming would be a lot more useful, but I wouldn't be able to use them correctly due to my lack of strength.

Thankfully, with the number of stones in the river, it didn't take long to find a sharp stone in the mix, with that done, I moved to a tree and used the stone I already had since yesterday to break off a branch, which was a lot easier than before because this time I was going for a thin breach to use as the 'body' of the spear.

Then I just tied both together using vines, getting a passable spear, in complete honesty it would probably break after just a couple of uses, still, it was something. And Just like that, I was once again going into the wilderness, of course, I wasn't planning to get too far away as losing track of where the river was would be disastrous.

I spent two hours in the jungle circling the perimeter near the river in search of food as my hunger grew, eventually I wasn't able to run anymore as my body refused to let me, at least that's what it felt like, the only thought I had was how I would do anything for food, thankfully, my pleas were answered, just that not exactly how I expected.

I could see a nest of Suri nearby, a well-known bug in the Amazon due to its great nutritional properties. Look, don't judge me ok?, I was starving. In the end, after forcing the Suri I killed using the puma fang down my throat, I was finally able to actually get started on something productive. Thankfully it was only 11:32 am when I got back to the fireplace.

I knew that as of right now there wasn't much I could do because of how weak I was, so the first course of action was to start working out again, that way I could start working towards being able to use an axe, which was really the only thing I needed in order to start making a house, so after drinking some water I began to work out.

Thankfully I could use the military training I received at the military academy as a basis for my workouts. The workout I was currently doing was easier of course, as I said before, I wasn't exactly fit at the moment. The workout itself consisted of doing push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, a 48-minute run, squats, and finally a 4-hour run.

As for the quantity I did, it didn't really matter as long as there was an improvement, it's not like I had the materials necessary to advance at a rapid pace anyway, plus, I could keep track of time by using the pocket watch, as for the runs, all I had to do was to add a marking wherever I finished on my 48-minute and 4-hour run, from there I could just train to make it farther every day, and each time I didn't make it in time, I would just have to do it over again until either the sun went down or I managed to achieve my goal.

Although it may look like I had all of the time in the world, that wouldn't matter if I was forced to live like an animal for the rest of my days, plus, if I want to extend my life I needed to get other humans to stay near me and help them out, which would be impossible if I didn't already have an environment where I didn't have to worry about my own survival.

If my estimations are correct it should only take around six weeks for me to be able to become relatively fit again, so I got to training. Today, of course, being the easiest day of them all, with me setting the goals for tomorrow right now, that didn't mean that it wasn't hard though, as I had to give my very best for every exercise, it reminded me of my first day in the academy.

Genesis February 13th, 0001:

Today marked the day that I was finally 'free' from the hellish nightmare I had created for myself, as I had finally started to develop my muscles, although they were nowhere near to what they used to be before, it was good enough to chop a tree using an axe with ease, that didn't mean I could stop exercising though, as I still had to work out every day, it's just that I didn't have to force myself to improve anymore.

At first, although exhausting, I was able to slightly improve every day, but eventually, the soreness built up and I couldn't improve anymore, not until my soreness was relieved, causing me to have a 5 day period of 'rest' (no improvement) in which I was able to measure the distance I had to run for both my 48-minute and my 4-hour run.

Back in the academy, for the 48-minute run, we had to run a distance of 6 miles (9.6-ish km), and for the 4-hour run, we had to run a distance of 14 miles (22.5-ish km). They also forced us to learn the imperial measurement system at the military academy, which luckily came in handy considering that I had no way to measure things other than using estimation which is where the measurement of ft comes in.

Although I had no idea what the length of my foot was, the average was 12 inches which was the actual measurement attributed to ft. meaning that I could just use my feet to somewhat accurately measure length. In total, a mile consists of 5280 ft, meaning that I just had to walk 31680 ft to mark the distance of the 6-mile run, and 73920 ft for the 14 mile one.

Needless to say, I wasted two days of the 5 'rest' days on that.
