"W-what did you say? Who do you want to marry?" Yun Xuan's voice trembled as he asked the question again.

"Hmm… I already said once, I want to marry General Bai's daughter, Bai Yunxian." Yun Shu said as if this was just like any other ordinary talk.

But for his father Yun Xuan, this was as if he pointed a sword at his throat.

Rong Yue was also worried about her son's decision, but she didn't ask him anything.

"You know about her reputation, brother. I can't allow this marriage." Yun Chu also opposed the proposal.

Both Yun Ming and Yun Qi were also nodding their heads to agree with the second brother.

Everyone in the hall was silent as Yun Xuan was still trying to stomach down the words that Yun Shu said just now.

He looked at Rong Yue with watery eyes as he said in an almost crying voice, "Wife…"

The brothers also understood what was going to happen, so they bowed to her one by one and exited the hall.

Rong Yue saw the crying face of Yun Xuan and face palmed as she said, "What now? You are the one who forced them to get married, now why do you have to oppose the marriage?"

"I'm the one who is getting married, not you! I've already decided, you can't persuade me!" He used all his strength to kick all of them out of the courtyard after struggling with them for twenty minutes.

And he was finally going to take a rest, when he heard a soothing voice that calmed his heart.

"Come in, Mom. I'm never busy with you!" Yun Shu ran towards the door happily as he opened and brought his mother inside.

He made Rong Yue sit down first, then directly laid his head on her lap as he said, "What is it, Mom?"

"You know that very well, don't you?" she said with a smile as she ruffled her son's hair with one hand.

"Is it about the marriage thing again?" Yun Shu really wanted to act like a dead man. But he couldn't do that in front of his mother.

Of all of the people in his family, his closest person was his mother, Rong Yue.

So there is no doubt that his father will make her come here to persuade him to change his mind.

"Do you really know what you are doing?" Rong Yue asked him with a serious face.

Yun Shu sat up straight from her lap as he sighed deeply, then he said, "I know what I'm doing, Mom. Just believe me, alright?"

"But you… you know about the reputation of Bai Yunxian in the capital. I can't let you marry such a girl!" Rong Yue felt terribly anxious for Yun Shu.

"I know that too! You don't have to worry about this, I can handle this much." Yun Shu smiled warmly as he said.
