1 The Gamer's Discovery

In a bustling classroom, there was a 17-year-old student sitting at the corner window seat, looking out the window with a carefree expression. He was reading the text hovering over the heads of other students, down at the track line, like this was a usual occurrence for him. He had always believed that everything in this world happens for a reason, and if someone didn't know why it had happened, then the reason would come to them sooner or later.

That student's name was Shaheer Usui. He had black silk hair with crystal green eyes and a carefree expression plastered on his face. He had a slender built that almost all students in high school were envious of.

This student had been seeing the names and levels of everyone around him, like he was in a RPG game. He was an all-rounder, with the best at everything around his age group, including academics. With that kind of talent, he usually got bored easily, as once he put his effort into something, there was almost no one that could rival him. So, he had indulged himself in games. He had already conquered almost every level and skills-based game with the towering name of USUI, as he still waited for the thrill that he wanted in life. He had always wanted a rival to beat, an exchange where he would not be sure to come out victorious.

The moment he got this unknown ability to look at other people's names and levels, his face showed an uncommon surprised expression which was soon covered with a carefree one in moments as he was not someone to pry on things which he couldn't do anything about. He was sure that if there was any reason for this, then it would come to him without him doing anything stupid like asking others out. He was a person who would do what he could and that was wait until the reason finds him out.

It had been a week since he started seeing these hovering names and disappointing levels on everyone's head, but nothing had come forward. He had already seen his name on a mirror, which was hovering on his head like everyone else's with an exceptional title added.

SHAHEER USUI (lv.21) THE GAMER

He was not surprised at his level as he had seen the average level was 6 with the max being level 10. If anything surprised him, it was that his level was not that far away from others, but still, he was recognized as a genius born with monstrous talent by many individuals.

What he had come to find out was that his level had been increased since he last gained this ability. He had already gained levels since it was 18 the first time he saw it. He also had a vague understanding of how his levels increase. Whenever he completed a crazy task or got out of a pinch situation or pushed himself to his limits, his level increased. It did not happen all the time, but it was no doubt that this was the reason his level increased. But the thing he noticed was whenever he raised a level, he got a sudden boost in his strength which he could feel as he already knew his body to the extent of its limits. But whenever his level increased, he felt some shackles had broken, and he had gained a boost in his overall performance.

A hand had come seated and interrupted Shaheer's train of thoughts. He usually was very keen of his surrounding, but he never seemed to understand that why this individual's presence was not enough for him to tell if he was there or not.

This individual was no other than his close friend from a young age.

TAQARRUB FAZAIL (Lv.18)

DESCENDANT OF THE RED DRAGON

Shaheer couldn't help but be curious about the title "Descendant of the Red Dragon" that he had seen on Taqarrub's head. He had seen it before, but the level had risen from 17 to 18. He had wanted to ask about it for a long time, but he didn't want to pry into something that his friend was trying to keep hidden.

As he looked at Taqarrub, he couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for his friend's strength and skill. He had known Taqarrub and his family for a long time and they were all practitioners of martial arts. Taqarrub's grandfather had even taught Shaheer some martial arts, but he had never been able to beat Taqarrub in a fight.

Despite this, Shaheer had respectfully declined an offer to join Taqarrub's family and become a martial artist. He knew that he would quickly become the best and then get bored with it. Taqarrub had already won several tournaments and was recognized as a genius in the martial arts world. Many others envied his ability to learn so much at such a young age.

But little did anyone know there was a slight difference in the expression of Shaheer as when he measured up Taqarrub today as his strength seems increased, he heard a ding sound in his head and a notification has popped up in front of his eyes saying:

[A new skill has been created]."

Shaheer couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement as he realized that his abilities had grown once again. He knew that this was just the beginning, and he couldn't wait to see what other surprises his abilities had in store for him. He looked back at Taqu with a renewed sense of determination, ready to take on his friend in their next battle.

Taqu, noticing the change in Shaheer's demeanor, couldn't help but feel a sense of nervousness. He had always been the strongest among their peers, but it seemed as though Shaheer was quickly catching up. He knew that he needed to continue training and pushing himself if he wanted to stay ahead of his old friend.

The two friends continued to chat and catch up while they looked out at the beautiful landscape, both lost in their own thoughts and dreams of becoming the strongest martial artist in the world. Little did they know, their journey was just beginning and they were about to embark on an adventure that would change their lives forever.
