13 Preparations

Although the fight had been easy, Roy sighed… his knives were starting to smell. He couldn't afford to care about that, but he still felt troubled… three hours ago he never saw that much blood so close to his hands, after all.

In any case, beyond the kitchen, Roy found an elevator that took him to a library. There was nothing in that room, but on the next one that was also part of the library had a bronze statue that he moved to the corner that ended up activating a switch. When that happened, one of the shelves moved and revealed a small compartment with a special disk in it.

"This is certainly old school…" Roy thought and stored the disk in his inventory.

MO Disk: It appears to be a disk for rebooting a system of some sort. A thin plastic case containing an important disk. Use these disks on the three Pass Code Output Terminals that are located in various rooms within the Underground Laboratory. Each one transmits a passcode needed to open the Cell Entrance

"Hmm, Observe it is starting to be useful," Roy thought.

Roy returned to the elevator, but he went beyond it where he found a small room with some grenade rounds and a battery. Both of them will come in handy later, so he grabbed them both. Then he went to the elevator.

Roy had a massive backtracking to do now, but first, he had to find a way to climb the hole that he fell on. In the game, Barry would help Jill with a rope, but Roy had to solve things by himself. Fortunately, he had gotten stronger enough with his level ups and he also had the acid rounds of the grenade launcher. He used them to melt the top of the metallic staircase and then used his strength to carry it to the hole.

It was time to speed things up and since Roy knew that he was going to find some hunters again, he kept the grenade launcher with him.

As soon as Roy reached the stairs that left him to the warehouse, he found one, and was killed with a single acid round in the head. The other was blocking his path to the garden, but the beast suffered the same fate.

"Hehe, running and not getting tired sure is awesome… it is a little boring, though," Roy thought.

Roy reached the area where he had drained the water from the pool ans then found some zombie dogs on his path. Even though they were annoying, Roy managed to stab their heads as soon as they jumped to bite him… he only did that with two at the same time and the third bit his arm…

"Son of…" Roy said and then kicked the beast with all his might.

Before the monster could get up, Roy kicked and smashed its head. Roy quickly checked the wound in his arm… it wasn't deep thanks to his sleeves and the fact that he reacted fast, but it was bleeding a bit.

"... I can't be infected like this, right?" Roy asked himself.

Roy immediately used an herb, and he actually ate it. He felt his body getting warm and relaxed… At the same time, the wound began to heal extremely fast.

"I guess I am safe… shit, that scared the crap out of me," Roy sighed and then rubbed the sweat from his brow.

Roy turned around and then saw the elevator without power where he had to put the battery in. Once he did that, the elevator went up and then Roy went to the back of the garden. He returned to get the crank that kept the water drained and then took it back. Then, the water returned.

Roy returned to the elevator and then walked in a straight line to some bars and an iron ladder. He reached a weird area that seemed like a mix of sewers and a cave.

After taking a few steps in, Roy reached a red door and opened it. On the other side, he saw himself in a bit of a dark area… to make things worse, a hunter jumped on him.

Roy blocked the claws of the enemy with his knives, but the charge of the beast quickly overpowered him… before the monster could take advantage of that, Roy ioened one of his hands and then used Spinning Mana Arrow at the face of the beast. The attack hit it full and made the beast flinch and then Roy stabbed the side of the beast's head and killed it. Making him reach level ten…

"Five more points in Wisdom and now I recover three points of mana per second," Roy said and then sighed. "Maybe I should change my goal and become a bit hybrid when it comes to the build… Being a mage is good when I can prepare and grind properly… not when I have a time limit."

Two and half hours had already passed since the stage started and Roy couldn't imagine himself completing it in just half an hour… if things get bad, it will take more than ninety minutes. He had to be prepared for both scenarios… no matter how much he thought about it, the tyrant was going to be a pain in the ass.
