Valeria City

Up in above the sea, the Kougala demon beast was sailing through the cloudy skies. Longwei, Anastasia, and Scarlet were all seated inside. there was a table before them, and the table was covered with fruit and wine. it has already been more than half of day that they have already left the Archaic continent.

" How much longer it will take before we get there?" asked Longwei as he was looking at the vast ocean below him through the transparent side of the kougala demon beast that seemed like a small window. the kougala demon beast traveled very fast and its speed was at least three times of that of a Saint rank expert.

" At this speed, we will arrive early in the next morning young Lord," answered Anastassia respectfully while drinking some wine that was in front of her.

Their journey was kinda boring so far as they haven't encountered any danger on the way. if they were traveling by sea, that would have been a totally different tale as they would be attacked by sea beasts. However, the kougala demon beast was an avian beast, as such, they were traveling by air. Aside from eating, talking, and sleeping, they haven't done anything else so far.

Soon, after eating and drinking, the group of three was tired of boredom and went to sleep again.

A few hours later,

" young Lord, we have arrived," shouted Anastassia outside Longwei's room.

As soon as he heard her voice, Longwei quickly got up and changed himself. after he was done, he went to meet with the two girls where they were eating before which was like a dining room.

Once Longwei got there, he looked at the two girls who had a different expression on their faces. Scarlet was cold as always but she as a serious expression on her face as though she was about to embark on a dangerous mission that required her to completely stay focuses. As for Anastassia, she was relaxed as always and has a slight smile on his face as though she was coming back home.

Longwei only looked at them for a second before he tilted his head next to the transparent window to look at the demon continent. the sun had already risen from the sky, as such Longwei was able to have a clear view of everything that was in front of him.

Up in the Sky, Longwei was able to see a distant city. as the demon continent was very big, it was impossible to see the whole size of it in the sky.

Looking at the distant city, a weird feeling arose from the deepest part of Longwei's heart. this city and this continent once belonged to human and had existed long before the demon invasion.

So many lives and history have been lost. it was almost impossible to imagine what kinda of scenery this place used to have before the demons invasions. what kinda humans used to live there before and their cultivations or the way of lives.

" young Lord, it is forbidden to fly in the airspace above the city. if anyone dares to fly past this airspace without any permission, they will be in big trouble." Said, Anastassia, as longwei was in a daze thinking about the past.

" Ohh yeah, let's landed then," answered Longwei as he ordered the koougala demon beast to landed on the grounded a few kilometers from the city gate.

As the landed on the ground, the three of them got out form the Kougala demon beast which transformed into some sort of horse. the three of them use it as a way of transportation as the continued to make their way to the city as it was a few kilometers away.

Even though they were a few kilometers away from the city, Longwei could already sense the boundless torrent of world energy that was constantly coalescing within the city grounds. at the same time, a terrifying presence emanated out from it.

" So this is Valeria city." murmured longwei as he was getting closer to the city.

Upon Longwei request, Anastasia had directed the kougala demon beast in the territory governed by the Grand Duke Valeria. she was the one that had sent troops to the archaic continent. also, according to Anastassia other Grand Dukes have sent troops as well. However, they never made it to Archaic content.

After thinking so much about it, Longwei had come up with two plausible reasons for that. first, Valeria might have stopped them before they can even make it there. The archaic continent was very close to the territory of Valeria and if other powers wanted to make it there fast, they have to use the airspace of Valeria city or its approximate region which were still under the rule Valeria. Secondly, Valeria has received word from her troops as soon as they get there and probably claimed this land as her own even though her troops were annihilated by him before she was able to conquer it.

Despite her crushing defeat, Valeria had never sent any more troops to the Archaic continent which made Longwei uneasy and decided to visit this place first and sort things out. Valeria was Grand duke and a powerful one at that, there's no way she could be afraid of longwei who had just ascend to sainthood back then.

After racking his brain and thinking about all this thing in the past, Longwei had come up to a terrifying conclusion. Valeria might have been waiting for him to come in the demon continent, more precisely the leader of the humans living on that island known as the Archaic continent.

Soon, Longwei and his two companions made it hurried towards the Northen gate of the Valeria city. The northern gate was at least two hundred meters tall and six hundred meters wide: from this, one can imagine how vast Valeria city was.

" your trading caravan has a total of 150 members. Pay 150 demon stones!". said a demon soldier that looked like a weretiger.

In front of Longwei and his group, there was an awe-inspiring merchant caravan, with almost all the members looked like humans, except the horns and tail that some of them possess. furthermore, there were some that have green skin and reptilian scales that covered their whole body. there was two of them that had tails like scorpions and the upper body like human except for the pair of horns on their heads and their long ears.

the group of demons handed the 150 demon stones to the weretiger in a small bag.

Longwei had no idea what demons stones were and what they looked like. however, he was not worried about it because of Anastassia's presence.

Soon, it was Longwei's group turn.

" Big Sis!" suddenly, a seductive voice rang out.

Anastassia turned to look, and she was instantly delighted.

" Ilda," she yelled.

There was a beautiful dark elf who looked almost exactly like Anastasia who was walking from outside the city gate with a huge smile on her face.

" I thought you were dead, I am so glad that you are alive." said the woman as she hugged Anastassia.

" I am still alive, let me introduce you, this my new master now," said Anastassia as she pointed at Longwei.

" Ilda pays her respect to the young master." said the woman with a respectful tone.

Longwei was a little-stunned buy her actions. However, Anastassia quickly explained everything to him. apparently, Anastasia was the leader of the Drak elf clan in Valeria city which was under the rule of Valeria. However, after she went on a mission for the grand dukes, she had never come back and they thought that she was dead. Also, because Longwei was the master of Anastassia, he was kinda the new master of the Dark Elf Clan as well. Not that, every one of them will accept him. However, Ilda was an exception as she was the little sister of Anastasia.

Soon, they entered the city without paying a dime, the guards only looked at Anastasia and bow to her as he let hem pass. Anastasia was a greater demon while the guard was just lesser demons.

Once Longwei and his group entered the city before they even make it far or even have a clear look at the city, they were stopped by three demons and behind was a luxurious caravan pulling by two demons beast that looked like dragons yet not.

" 72nd commander Anastassia and the human emperor, her highness has been expecting you. please board this caravan." said the bulky man who had huge Ax on his back. his head resembled that of an alligator while his body was that of a human with a long tail behind his back. this one was a peak lesser demon, a step away from becoming a greater demon.

Even though Longwei had always thought that the Grand duke was waiting for him in the demon continent, he was a little shocked that he was discovered before even spending a day within the city.

with his face filled with worries and uncertainties, Longwei and his companions board the caravan and left with the three demons that were charging into the heart of the city.
