A Quick Demonstration
The Angel's City California - 0900 hours.
"Honey! Dinner is ready, get your ass off that couch and let's eat." - Amanda Smith shouted from the kitchen.
"Just a second babe! The President is announcing that the Government is asking for volunteers to join the army. It seems like the Hongs are not backing down and they expect a prolonged fight here." - Jim relied back.
"We'll consider that we already lost 2 Carrier Battle Groups while they haven't even used any of theirs yet. It's bound to get some people in the Gray House panicking right?"
"No shit, at this rate they will most likely activate the reserves and recall the retired units back to active service."
Amanda grew concerned.
"Do you think they will really do that? Didn't you already serve your country enough Jim?"
"Hopefully this thing blows over before that happens but it might be a good idea to get you and the kids over to Dad's farm. We have an old bunker here so you guys should be safe in case I need to ship out again."

2 days ago the Carrier Battle Group that came from the country of Hapon was also intercepted and sunked by over a thousand long range bombers from Weijing. They were able to completely wipe out all the attackers but not before all 4 carriers were sunk along with 5 cruisers and 2 destroyers. The rest are all badly damaged as well.
That leaves 3 battle groups left out of the 5 that was originally set for this war. 2 are still in the middle of the Pacific and the 3rd is somewhere around Nostralia. They are now diverting battle groups from the Atlantic fleet to join the fight but it will take longer for them to go through Cape Town in South Jafrika.
The UF Army is currently sending 5 divisions over to Hindiya along with the rest of the coalition ground forces. UF was taking advantage of the recently degraded relationship between the Hongs and the Hindus to get their forces right in the Hong's back door. They plan to pass through the Kashmir region with over 500 thousand troops and more than 50 thousand tanks.

Washington AD - Gray House
Donald Ford 54th president of the United Federation.
"General, what do you mean we just lost access to all our Satellites?"
"Sir, Director Howard of the Joint chief of staff from Hexagon just called saying that all of our Secured Satellites went offline 30 minutes ago. They have been trying to reestablish connection but all our assets are not responding."
The General said with a sour face. He can't believe that the monkeys from the Hong Empire are capable of such a thing.
"They have also tried to take command of our commercial satellites but were met with the same problem. It seems like all of our space assets are offline sir."
"How can this be. You said that those idiots from Hong does not pose any threat to us. How can you explain this?"
"We are looking into it Mr. President. We have a reason to believe that this is caused by a totally different source."
The general looked towards one of the men seated in the triangle office.
"Director can you share with the President what you told me earlier?"

2 hours later.
Everybody in the world that owns a device is watching intently while a dark silhouette of a man is on the screen announcing that he is about to eliminate all humans on Earth.
"Greetings people of Earth. It's quite lovely to see you killing each other like this. Makes my job a lot easier." The man started laughing.
"I'd like to state that during the course of my stay here, everyone of you will die. I'll take my time so that we can truly enjoy our time together. Isn't it fun?"
"After 24 of your Earth hours have passed, I will destroy one of the nations on your planet, think about it as my way of saying hello."
"After that we'll start the slow process of your extermination. When all of you are dead, I can finally start the slow process of repairing the mess you guys made to this planet."
The man swiped his hand and the video feed turned dark.
A wave of disbelief went through the entire world. Majority of them thought that the whole thing was an elaborate prank by some hacker. Only a very few of them actually actually took it seriously and made proper preparations.
A few minutes later all access to the satellites were returned to their original owners.

24 hours after the global broadcast.
A hundred fifty kilometers above the Auropean continent.
A 50 kilometers long metallic sphere materialized out of thin air.
It sat there for a few hours making sure that everyone on the planet is paying attention.
It did not interfere with the satellites anymore and simply stood there unmoving from its geosynchronous orbit above the continent.
An hour later, everybody looking finally saw movements.
A long rail started extending from its underbelly then electric lightning started arcing along the metal path.
The contraption started glowing until it reached the point where the light is already too bright and blinding even to the naked eye.
Then without warning it fired a single beam down towards the ground.
A moment later the entire landmass of the country Great Britonia, all two hundred fifty square kilometers of it became a huge crater 2 kilometers deep.
Due to its close proximity some of the coastal areas from its neigboring country Prans also evaporated.
There were no explosions or any radiation. the entire country simply turned into a two kilometer deep crater as if a giant hand scooped everything in it and turned it into air.
After everyone realized just exactly what happened, a global pandemonium ensued.
The war between the Hongs and the coalition forces was grounded to a halt.
All governments started recalling all their forces back to their home countries.
