Ai's Dreadful Condition

Ai remained unconscious for five hours in a painful situation. Usually, Ju or the Prime Minister visited the room after every two to three hours, but unfortunately, nobody came when she was dreadfully tormented.

Finally, the Prime Minister came to the room to meet Quinn. He was shocked to see Ai's condition. He became more agitated when he found Quinn had disappeared. Unfortunately, he couldn't even claim his disappearance in front of anyone.

He tried his best but couldn't find Quinn. Ai's condition was critical. So, before taking further action about that, he called an ambulance and sent Ai to the hospital.

Various kinds of thoughts came to his mind.

"Maybe the kidnappers reached the room, and Ai got injured while guarding the baby."

"Might Ju have done all this."

The doctors told the Prime Minister that Ai's condition was severe due to the head colliding. So, she would be taken under observation for 24 hours.

The Prime Minister was feeling so guilty. He thought as Quinn wanted a good life, Ai too. So he had to protect her too.

Moreover, he was unable to do anything for Quinn. He discussed everything regarding Quinn with Ai, but now she wasn't available.

He wanted to escape from everything, but he was not selfish—his life connected to Quinn the day he announced his decision in the meeting.

When he had controlled his emotions to some extent, he went towards Thomas and Sam. They were enjoying a horror movie with popcorn.

The Prime Minister couldn't control his anger after seeing that. He grabbed Thomas hard by his neck and roared: "How useless and careless are you! Where is the baby!"

Thomas was shocked. Actually, he had put the secret cam-recorder close to the main gate of the house.

When any stranger came, the bell rang on Thomas's mobile. So, he knew if something wrong happened. But, within that time, the bell didn't ring. Thomas wondered how Quinn could disappear if not any stranger came.

Unfortunately, he couldn't tell that to the Prime Minister as that was a future gadget. He apologized to the Prime Minister and asked him to give him the chance to get Quinn back.

The Prime Minister had no option other than that, so he said:

"Ok, I accept your apology, but please find Quinn as soon as possible. If he gets into the wrong hands, his body will be misused."

Thomas and Sam had so many gadgets, but no one seemed helpful to them in that situation. Then, suddenly, Sam got an idea.

He remembered their planning when they came to the past. So he took his ray tracer and began tracing mind-reading rays.

The tracer showed that the last time when Quinn was present in Ai's room was 6 hours before. When Sam traced the rays, he found that their location was constantly changing at a uniform speed.

That clearly showed that Quinn was moving. Uniform speed was an indication that he was traveling in any vehicle whose speed was fixed. If he was held by any person who was walking, the speed kept on changing.

That was creating a problem for them to trace. If Quinn stopped for a moment, the rays could be tracked by identifying a specific location. Unfortunately, the ray tracker was not advanced enough to catch rays' location with changing aspects.

Sam regretted that he didn't buy an advanced version of the tracker even though that was so common in the future.

The next moment, he felt lucky to think that at least he had a few gadgets in the time machine cabinet. He just came the past to get rays back. He never imagined that he would have to stay there for a long time.

That was going on for an hour. Thomas was worried about Quinn being taken out of the city. So, he focused on his mind to get the use of other gadgets.

"That's simple; I went back six hours and saw what happened. Oh! But my time machine can even take me 600 years back instead of 6 hours."

"Uf! The magnet couldn't attract Quinn at a distance of more than 10 meters. Otherwise, I used that."

He was involved in deep thinking when Sam interrupted in-between.

"Sir, I just got an idea."

"What!" Thomas unconsciously responded.

"Sir, I know your time machine is faulty, and whatever we are facing is due to that. But we can benefit from that in a new way. We'll do some auto settings in it. It'll travel 6 hours back. We'll fix the camera inside. Then, the machine will reach the baby's room, capture the scene and return. So, we'll know what happened." Sam added.

"Wao amazing idea, but it's not as easy as it seemed. The time machine can reach somewhere else. We can also lose time machines forever. No! No! We can't take such a big risk." Thomas was so upset and unrelaxed to make any plan.

He kept on thinking, but when he felt there was not any other option, he did everything as Sam told. The time machine was auto set to reach 6 hours before and return after staying 10 minutes there.
