Chapter 36

[A/N: For some reason, the voting paragraph comments were deleted all at the same time without my influence, so I decided to delete the chapter but, I did remember the top three votes, Elder Scrolls, Pokemon, and Assasin's Creed]

[A/N: This chapter just goes over the entries of the journal that was rewarded for creating resident evil and WILL play a part in a future chapter]

Day 1, The Journal of Realm Lord Aldrich's.

Greetings to whoever reads this journal in the future, my name is Aldritch, a simple peasant in the Kingdom of Valiheen.

As of now, I am 15 years old and still living in the slums of the capital and I have been forced to scrounge for food and scraps to get by, I happened to stumble upon this empty and dirty journal in a trash heap and decided to keep it and write down my thoughts, dreams, or perhaps I will just use this journal to vent...

Do you know not many commoners know how to read and write?

My parents...my parents spent their whole fortune on having me be taught by a teacher when I was younger and this decision of theirs got them into debt with a couple of the local gangs...One day after they couldn't pay a gang decided to make my parents an example...

My parents hid me and the next day I hid in a crowd and watched my parents get butchered and tortured...

After that day, I spent years earning money and food by working for the very gangs that butchered my parents as a thief and beggar, but I did what I thought was necessary to survive and live long enough to fulfill the promise I made to my parents, to become a Noble of the kingdom...

...

Year 3, Day 46

...

I am now 18 years of age and decided to leave the slums and join the army...in the war against the Ruwians and I just hope I can get enough recognition to become a minor noble...

Year 4, Day 176

...

It's been over a year since I have begun fighting the Ruwians and from what I gather from the rumors and first-hand accounts...the Ruwians are winning the war...

...

Year 5, Day 3

Yes! Lady luck has finally shinned down upon me!

A War Mage happened to walk by our battalion and froze upon looking at me!

He informed me that I had the largest Mana reserves he has ever seen within a person and that he wants me to go to the kingdom's school of magic to become a War Mage!

And to my great luck, my commanding officer agreed without hesitation!

I only learned later that the man that changed my life was Edward Boar, otherwise known as the Archmage of Fire!

...

Year 5, Day 63

It took two months to get to the academy of magic via a carriage and I couldn't help but be excited since Mages could attain Noblemanship so long as they reach the rank of Archmage!

...

Year 7, Day 1

I am now 22 Years of Age and at the rank of Highmage, just a single rank below Archmage.

I have been deployed to battle much more frequently this past year and through combat, I have mastered various spells and even created two spells myself!

Something that hasn't been seen in a VERY long time!

The Spells I managed to create were called Heart Seeker and Phase!

Heart Seeker was a complex spell that could be combined with any combat spell that allowed the spell to chase down its target's heartbeat and curve around objects, people, and things just to hit the specific target!

I am working on a version that can target inanimate objects and undead targets and estimate so long as I do not get interrupted that I will have created a working version of Heart Seeker in a month or so.

Meanwhile, Phase was a godsend to mages.

Phase allowed a person to temporarily turn a part of their body into an ethereal state that would allow solid objects to pass through that section of their body, meaning that it would allow the mage to avoid physical damage that was coming right at them that they couldn't dodge.

Sadly the spell was a massive drain to the user's mana and would quickly devour an average mage's mana in seconds.

But still, the spell which was given to our many War Mages after extensive testing set the war until our favor!

Sadly, Phase could not avoid the damage done by a spell or enchanted blade...

But it was progress at least!

...

Year 7, Day 49 - 79

I was sent out to the battlefield yet again and this time, I started testing out a very...hated form of magic that was available to learn at the academy, Black Magic.

Black Magic was a form of magic that included many of the darker forms of magic, such as Necromancy, Curses, Undeath Magic, and so much more...

I found that I was uncomfortably talented with Black Magic, so much in fact that once I returned from the battlefield a month later I already mastered over a dozen black magic spells...

...

Year 8, Day 189

I was a Peak Highmage now and only continued to increase in strength and mana capacity at a rapid pace.

I have also begun practicing the other forms of Magic such as Conjuration, Illusion, Healing, Nature, and even Martial Art Magic.

I just hope this war ends so I can go study magic in peace...

...

Year 9, Day 63

Time continued to march on as I studied magic diligently and while I studied my magic in peace, I spent my free time experimenting and testing spells on the Ruwians, and I have been doing this so much that the enemy decided to give me a nickname, the Mage of Death.

I killed many men in these past couple of years.

While my heart and eyes grew cold, I always made sure that the honorable enemies passed on with honor.

I only experimented my more...foul magic on those with no honor and reveled in the torture, death, and pain of others.

How would I know who was honorable and who was horrible?

Simple, a Dark Magic spell that allows the caster to read the memories and mind of the target so long as they can get past any mental shield the target may have!

Sadly this spell was only usable in certain situations.

Other than that I have gained that particular nickname because I have started turning the enemies very soldiers against them using Necromancy.

While many on both sides frowned at this, I did not care.

My only goal was to end the war as fast as possible.

...

Year 10, Day 246

The War was finally over...

The King of Valiheen decided to grant me a noble title and a piece of land out in the wildlands, a large chunk of northern land that was overrun by all sorts of monsters, but I do not mind, it will be a great environment to research in and no one will come to bother me...

...

Year 26, Day ??

As I have far surpassed the strength of an Archmage and have stepped into the realm of a Mage Saint I started putting research into Time Magic, Space Magic, Tonal Magic, Divine Magic, Death Magic, Summoning Magic, and even something as complex as Void Magic.

I have managed to create 'Gates' to other realms that border ours and have begun collecting samples, ingredients, and corpses of these realms' local fauna.

...

Year ??, Day ??

Countless years pass as I eventually pass the realm of a Saint Mage and use my knowledge, large mana capacity, and very deep understanding of Magic, I formulated a plan to leave this dimension and explore the great unknown.

So, I first started by separating my tower and the surrounding land from the surface and floated it into the sky.

From there I used such a profound amount of mana to separate the floating island from the dimension and teleported the island into the void located outside this realm.

The void is what separates our dimension from every other dimension around us.

The Void is vast and filled with danger, but I didn't care.

I would like to see the Void stop me from completing my dreams!

...

D-amn, my tower was attacked by a Void Beast of such a large size that I couldn't even see half of its body that hid in the void...

I don't know if I will make i-t.

I used all of my mana to defeat the beast and was heavily injured...

I am losing too much blood...

I only hope I survive this...

...

Damn...that was just đ˜Șđ˜”'𝘮 cub...it was only a...cub...

Seem's that I won't be able to fulfill my dre--...
