Chapter 15

[Feburary 1st, 2009, 14 days until Tony Stark is Kidnapped]

Days passed as more and more players began to join at an incredible speed, so many in fact that the player count has passed the 1,000 Player Mark which was one of my system missions...

[System Mission(COMPLETED!)

Mission Details: The first step to becoming a good Game Creator is getting a large starting player base.

1,893/1,000 Players

Rewards: 5,000 System Points and a Random Reward(Modern Car Kit(Permanent)]

I was quite thankful for the Modern Car Kit reward since it was actually something critically important for my second game, and I even got it permanently, which means I can use it over and over again on any games I create in the future!

Calming myself down, I thought of the other changes that have happened in the past couple of days.

For one, I have managed to build the Gate for Ta Lo in a small natural cave on my land and visit it occasionally for training.

Secondly, I have also created a couple of Magical Artifacts and even a barrier around my land that should prevent others from finding me or looking inside my head. (A/N: Thanks for the suggestion! :D)

Of course, my mental shields were not that strong and would most likely fail if I come into direct contact with a Mind-Reader or Telepath, but with every passing day I have been upgrading my mental defenses, and eventually, as long as I have enough time, should be able to completely block out any and all Mind/Soul Related abilities.

I believe that my barrier and shield can protect me from the Mystic Arts that the Ancient One and future Stephan Strange use, more specifically Eldritch Magic that they use.

There are many Mystic Arts that include, Asgardian Magic, Eldritch Magic, Chaos Magic, Dark Dimensional Magic, and Darkhold Magic.

But the magic that I am currently shielded against is Eldritch Magic, meaning that I am vulnerable to all the other Mystic Arts and I should be able to defend myself against the other forms of magic once I encounter the magic firsthand.

And thirdly, I have increased the price of Battle For The Top from $1 to $5 once it hit 900 players.

...

By the next day, I was ready to finally create my second game.

Entering my Office I sat down in my chair before opening the Menu.

[Game Library: Battle For The Top]

Clicking the [Create Game] option I found myself in the familiar field of dirt that was completely empty.

Popping my fingers, I got to work and boy oh boy, did I have a lot of Points to spend…

First, I started with creating the maps for the game.

I wanted at least 25 different maps for the players to play on and the diversity would help keep players playing the game.

I first started with creating a race track, yes, I planned on the second game to be a racing game!

And a realistic racing game where the players could actually feel the thrill of racing in their dream cars? It would draw in players like a moth to a flame!

Once I was done with creating the track, I began terraforming and reshaping the land.

I added hills, a sea, and all kinds of vibrant flora and decided to call this particular map, Verdant Hills.

I then went on to create the rest of the maps which took me the rest of the day before designing the system for the game.

For the actual matches, the players would race for 3 laps and 12 cars per race, of course, if the players decide to create a custom match then they can change these settings.

I then added a feature at the cost of a lot of Points that made it to where the Players could level up, earn money, and then purchase cars from a shop.

It cost a lot of points because I actually had to stock the vehicles for the shop and would have to repeatedly buy more vehicles every time the cars are all sold out.

I could just set up a function that would always buy the cars manually when they run out, but that would make me broke quite fast, so I will be doing it manually for a while at least until I am earning more than it would cost.

I have also added a customizable player room which would allow the players a place to rest between races and before/after races.

Before long I was actually done with the game, but I went back and added a few more details to the maps.

Buildings, signs, animals, boulders, rivers, bridges, etc.

I added so many details that each and every map had its own ecosystem and weather patterns...
