Mark saunter slowly, through the foyer stopping at Alice’s door, his fist stopping midair as he remember their morning encounter.

He grinned.

He pushed open the door without any warning or announcement “Wha-” Alice turned astound.

“Surprise” Mark said moving close to vanity table beside Alice who was facing the mirrors curling her hair.

With a smiling face she said “You aren’t the Joker, why the grand entrance?” Mark sat on the dressing table coming close to her when she was styling her hair.

“When you don’t have an invitation, you make a grand entrance” Mark said coming closer to her earlobe.

Alice held her breath, releasing it slowly as she said “You don’t need an invitation to my quarters, you are always welcome” trying to use her willpower to distract herself as the image of their previous antic came spewing in her brain.
