About what happened in the job?

Well, I was planning to tell you about that... but since the employer was a man, I lost all motivation in narrating what happened to the bodyguard job. Even Ichi and his Numba gang felt that I got this deflated aura, making them look at me like I was some incompetent and lecherous slob. The employer got a good laugh about it though, and the moment I got a negative feedback is the time I would quit the job. Since the employer is quite chill, we're good.

HOWEVER!

I did my job right you know! I got five star rating you know! Not actually a five star rating, but a good reward you know! I still got high tension whenever I remember it you know! IT WAS A HOUSE YOU KNOW!

Considering what I did on the bodyguard job, I would expect quite a passing reward or maybe a good one...

But maybe the demon threat was considered as dangerous even with average level demons.

Long story short, I eradicated all hostiles on the early part of the travel and they decided that I would only move when there's a demon since me doing all the work will reduce other people's pay.

But still... to think that they would gift me a house right off the bat. I thought that I would need up to 3 years before I can even consider the smallest courtyard. Huh? a shack? I need space for my training you know? What about me talking about having a good life earlier?

There's this difference in desperately trying to become stronger and becoming stronger after defeating strong people. I'll only know I became stronger after defeating people I can't defeat before. I'll just be leisurely exploring my capabilities before moving on to improving what I can do.

SO! What am I currently doing after suddenly achieving my first goal?

I am now within my courtyard, exploring my capabilities. I am also running a dojo by the way.

I still got no students so far since the time skip was until after all the troublesome things are done, and it's not even two months have passed since I got the job.

I guess someone was already training his latest disciple somewhere, but... *sigh*

I look at the dilapidated environment and never wonder no one would want to learn in this dojo.

What can I say, my housekeeping skills can only do this much!

So I look at the sky and saw a passing cloud that looks like a thumbs up emoji.

Ok! quest accepted!

I don't know how or when, but a boy suddenly appeared in front of me. No fanfare, no lights, no hymns, no magic circles. Nope, the boy just pop out and voila! There he is.

Hmm...

"Oh? So you're the one that ROB recommended to me that will teach me the basics huh?"

Since he look like he's not finished yet, I let him continue.

"You look weak. What breathing style do you use? If you can't even beat me, you're not deserving to be my master!"

I narrow my eyes as from his mockery as I consider what I learned from him.

Well guess I need to introduce some initiation first before everything else, so I beckon him to follow along as I showed him the sword rack, then I picked up a random wooden sword.

"Take your pick from the rack and we'll have a mock battle, since we'll be figuring things out."

After seeing him also randomly chose a wooden sword from the rack, we went to the open area of the dojo, which is the place we came from... technically we didn't leave the area but for the sake of my image... let's... *ugh*, nevermind.

Standing a considerable distance apart, we took out stances, with me directly just standing there and the kid in front of me performing an Iai stance, which if what I remember is correct, an opening stance for thunder breathing. Unless he is fan of a certain battosai... which is quite a low possibility since he came into this world.

I tossed a coin to start the match, and saw him preparing as he watch the coin fall.

Seeing him like that makes me want to strike him pre-emptively, but since he called me weak without actually beating me.

I'll make him taste despair.
