Tryouts Arc 4: The Boy With The Purple Eyes

"Raugh!" Louis, a heavy defender on Taylor's team, screams and he shoulder charges Kade slamming into him and sending him smashing into the ground at the 80 yard line prior kick off for the second half of the game, Louis gets up hyped up as he takes Kade down "yea!" Taylor exclaims as they high five, George quickly helps Kade up "you alright?" he asks, Kade slams the ball into George's chest and walks away frustrated, George looks over discouraged. The teams line up at the 80 yard line Taylor's team confident in their victory while George's team have all believed they've lost all but one. "Down!" "Set!" "Hut!" The ball is passed back to Noel, he grips the ball and immediately begins rushing backwards in the pocket, he closes his eyes then as he opens them activates his power. Noels eyes glow purple as symbols and words begin flashing around his vision like he's calculating everything in a second. Kade rushes around trying to get free from his defender, he dashes to the right and the defender follows but Kade takes advantage; he quickly spins around him and maneuvers left in order to get open, immediately as soon as Kade gets open his entire body is highlighted in Noels super vision, he squints his eyes allowing him to superhumanly magnify his vision and see Kade clearly, a prompt shows up on top of all players when Noel uses magnify, a number with a percentage next to it to signify their chance of successfully catching the ball, the other receivers being guarded have low catch rates down in the 20s and 10s but as Kade manages to get open his rate flies up and locks in at 97% Noel reacts immediately and flings the ball in a perfect spiral towards Kade, his defender sides to the right as he's faked out by Kades spins but quickly moves left and leaps for the ball Kade manages to jump up and catch the ball over his defender and slam into the ground at the 55 yard line. "Yea!" George exclaims "Nice one!" Markus congratulates Noel, he shows not emotion after the completed pass, Kade on the other hand lays on the ground with the ball clutched in his hand shocked "I... I caught it" he thinks to himself Jeon looks surprised "how did he do that?" He asks "what do you mean?" Taylor asks "that's throw it was almost prefect he read Kades moves perfectly throwing it exactly as he did his spin move, it's like he anticipated it and threw a perfect pass..." Jeon says "man listen to yourself right now your overthinking a lucky pass, don't forget whose up by 28 points." "Nah dude I'm telling you that kid has vision, we need to be careful." Jeon says "alright you know what since we're playing defense anyways I'm playing lineman, I'll truck the shit outta that twig and show you there's nothing to be afraid of." Taylor walks up to one of the defensive lineman "yo Johnny switch with me yea, just for this possession let me show this kid whose boss." He says, Johnny happily switches places with Taylor giving him a high five as they switch places "go get em" he says, Taylor lines up with the rest of the Lineman on his team and faces off with the Offensive lineman directly in front of them guarding Noel, Taylor stares at Noel as he readies himself "your dead" he says. "Down!" Taylor plants his feet on the ground as all the Lineman lower their bodies "Set!" His hands tingling impatiently "Hut!" The Defensive Lineman and Offensive Lineman charge at each other and crash into the Taylor pushes himself forward and uses his strength to slam into the lineman guarding him, coach Lamburn looks over confused "the hell is he doing?" He says. Noel takes his time in the pocket and looks around for any open receivers, Taylor uses his strength to try and push away his defender but he holds steady "fall damn you!" He exclaims Taylor pulls back his fists and swings punching the boys helmet knocking him back, coach Lamburn quickly blows the whistle "woah woah what do you think your doing Taylor!" He exclaims "I get that you wana switch things and try the lineman position and because this is a scrimmage I'll let that slide but  Taylor you know that's an illegal move, while football is about strength and being aggressive you need to respect the sport, that why they'll be a 14 point deduction from Taylor's team" "what!?" Taylor and Jeon exclaim, Jeon storms over "coach that's not fair he didn't even get a warning!" "He didn't need one Taylor is a sophomore he's played for the team last year and your were there aswell Jeon you know how many warnings he got for his temper and behavior." Jeon grits his teeth and exhales he's left speechless. Taylor's team is left frustrated and Taylor himself furious, his fists clenched as he holds back his rage George's team celebrate as they are now only 2 touchdowns away from tying the game, hope has been brought back to this team. The Lineman line up before each other Taylor lines up in Johnny's spot once again "hey what do you think your doing?" Jeon says putting a hand on Taylor's shoulder "have you lost it are you trying to make us loose more point you can defensive lineman Taylor." Taylor pushes Jeons hand off of him "relax I've got this I'm going to show that boy how we do things around here." He says Jeon thinks back to his father "Taylor I can't have you screwing things up for us i need to win this game!" He exclaims "we're going to win alright." Taylor says then turns and readies himself Jeon clenches his fist clearly frustrated with Taylor's stubbornness but inhales and exhales relaxing himself then walks away. "Down!" "Set!" "Hut!" "Come on!" Taylor exclaims as he blasts towards towards his defender "Rrrraugh!" He screams slamming into the boy launching him back and sending him slamming into the terrain both Coach Lamburn and Jeon look shocked, Taylor manages to break through the offensive and has a clear line path to Noel. Noel looks around the field looking for an open receiver numbers and letters flashing throughout his vision giving him information and probability of certain outcomes suddenly a flashing warning symbol shows up on the left side of his vision, a triangle with an exclamation point blaring obviously in the corner of his eye warning him of the incoming Taylor, still Noel looks focus and doesn't loose composure as he scans the field. Suddenly numbers rapidly go down below the warning sign telling Noel of Taylor's distance the numbers go from 4 yards to to 3 yards to 2 and so on Noel is running out of time and still can't find an open receiver, Taylor rushes towards Noel and has his eyes set on him he runs towards him like a savage desperate to tackling him to the ground, a devious smirk rises in his face and he lunges at Noel ready to take him down when suddenly Noel swiftly takes a single step back completely avoiding Taylor. Taylor looks back slowly while in mid air shocked as he sees Noel staring down at him through his helmet his eyes beaming with purple light illuminating the inside of his helmet as his eyes follow Taylor's decent into the ground. Taylor slams into the ground face first unsuccessful at getting Noel, Kade swiftly moves back and the defensive back guarding him trips and falls leaving Kade wide open Noel swiftly looks up his eyes leaving a trail of light as they move and he flings the ball into the air and right into Kades arms at the 30 yard line, Kade quickly turns around and activates blasting off towards the end zone "No!" Jeon exclaims and rushes after him. Kade rushes down the field as Jeon tracks him down like a hungry dog, Kade looks back and sees Joen approaching him fast but he keeps his eyes foward and keeps running. Jeon quickly catches up to Kade "this kid is nothing like Jacob he's slower and weaker, I won't let him out run me!" Jeon the inks "almost there!" Kade exclaims as he rushes past the 10 yard line but Jeon slams into his back hard, harder than Kade has ever been hit in his life causing him to fumble the ball. The football flies high into the air as Jeon and Kade slam into the ground, Jeon on top of him "No!" He exclaims, Kade pushes off the ground leaping upwards towards the ball Joen reaches out in order to grab Kade by his foot but misses Kade flies up into the air safely catches the ball in his hands and slams into the end zone. Taylor's team, George's Team, and even coach Lamburn all look out shocked and speechless as the entire field is silent, suddenly coach blows the whistle "touchdown George's team!" He exclaims, suddenly everyone cheers and rushes over to Kade in the end zone and celebrate all but Noel who stays back his eyes deactivate and return to normal as he looks down at Taylor still on the ground shook "w-what the hell.... I missed?" He thinks, he looks back at Noel who's staring down directly at him and the two lock eyes "what the hell is he?"
