Departing Mates

It didn't take long for Gabriel to follow behind Esme after exchanging a few more words with the Alpha King. By mentioning her date with Einar, Gabriel's anger diffused from one creature and was redirected to the warlock. They walked down the stairs in a comfortable silence; although Esme had plenty of questions on the tip of her tongue, she also noted Gabriel's mood. It seems like he is still reeling over whatever he saw in Damon's mind, which she assumed was not a pretty sight.
