The guy that dragged them around

"Ah, right." Josh replied to Tom with a smile.

"Hm? Did you say something?" Said the guy who was dragging Josh by the arm, he looked over his shoulder and glanced over at Josh.

"No, I didn't." Replied Josh as he shook his head.

"Weird… could've sworn I heard you say something. Well, never mind then I guess." He said as he turned his head back around to look at the direction in which he was dragging Josh.

"What're we even doing?" Josh asked as he looked back to Tom who was walking by his side briskly, "Why're we running from this guy's friends?" His eyebrows slightly furrowed with a bored and slightly confused look on his face.

"Well, why not? I mean… it's certainly interesting. Don't you you think?" Replied Tom with a smile.

Josh saw Tom's smile and a smile automatically appeared on his own face, Tom's smiles just had this feeling of warmth radiating off them, a feeling which didn't normally come from Tom. Although, if Tom's smiles made anyone that saw them feel warm, Joshua's smiles must've been comparable to the sun. They were so warm and friendly that it was as if Josh's smiles were made especially for whoever his smile was seen by.

"Ack." Mumbled Tom as he had been elbowed in the ribs by one of the many people standing in the narrow hallway. He was beginning to be separated from Joshua due to the sheer number of people standing around aimlessly in the hall.

Josh then looked around with his eyebrows furrowed once more, "You should grab hold of me, so we don't get separated… or something."

"But I already am." The guy dragging Josh along replied with a questioning expression, he lifted the arm he was using to grab onto Joshua so that Josh could see that he was holding on to him. He also had a look painted onto his face that Josh could've sworn wanted to have meant to have said "Are you mental?" the look had undertones of sympathy, as if the look had also wanted to covey the words "You good, man?".

"Ah, no, I meant…" He said with a sheepish look, whilst pointing over his shoulder and behind himself at Tom.

"Uhm, okay?" Replied the guy with a confused and concerned expression on his face. He once again turned back around and tried to focus his attention on where he was rushing off to with Josh in tow.

The guy had then proceeded to drag Josh by the arm, with Tom following close behind, through countless different corridors and up and down various different staircases. It was unlikely that they'd be found even if Josh and Tom hadn't been dragged and led around for as long as they had been.

When they were running from them, Josh was most surprised about the fact that this guy could remember the way through this maze like building. Not to mention the amount of twists and turns they took, Josh was also surprised that the group following them for as long as they had.

Also, in the topic of being surprised, Josh was also unsure of why this popular guy they'd only conversed with once would ditch and run from his seemingly close group of friends whom were chasing him in favour of dragging around two guys he didn't know well, or at all.

As Josh was wondering about the surprising events taking place, the guy looked behind them, to check if they were still being followed before turning to look around. He then stayed silent for a couple of seconds before releasing a loud sigh and clenching one of his fists and releasing it just as quickly.

"Okay, where even are we?" The guy questioned, confusion could be heard through his voice.

"Well, scratch my first thought," Joshua thought to himself with a ironic smile plastered onto his face.

"I can't stand those pricks," the guy said with an irritated expression on his face as he let out a loud sigh. "Being nice to my face then talking shit behind my back, what a bunch of motherfucking bitches!"

The guy slammed his fist into one of the walls of the room they were all currently standing in. The guy's back was turned towards Josh, and no one else was on the room apart from the three of them. There were a few chairs and tables situated around the room, yet the three of them still stood close to the wall, ignoring the seats.

"And there goes my second thought as well," thought Josh once again, his ironic smile still staying on his face, he shook his head slightly and sighed internally.

The guy turned back around to look at Josh once again, and as soon as Josh saw the guy turning around he wiped his grin off his face and replaced it with a neutral expression to avoid unnecessary conflict. He didn't want to anger this random guy he'd never met, and get into a pointless fight or argument.

"So… why did you drag us off to some random place then?" Asked Joshua, confusion could be seen on his face.

The guy raised one of his eyebrows questioningly at Joshua, "Uhm, you're… a good excuse as to why I'm ditching them?" He stated in the form of a question.

"Couldn't you just, i don't know, lie?", asked Josh, still confused, "Tell then you lost us, that we wandered off when you were showing us around, or something?"

The guy pointed at Josh and opened his mouth, before closing it again and grasping his chin with the hand with which he decided to point at Josh. He stood there, as still as a statue, before he finally moved, let go of his chin, once again pointed at Joshua and said, "You're right."

Joshua heard this and just gave him a blank look before turning to Tom who was standing beside him. "Well, can you at least find us a way back to the classroom used for engineering."

"You're an engineering major? What a coincidence!" The guy smiled once again as he exclaimed, "I know where it is, but I don't know where we are. So we might need to walk around for a while, but follow me!"
