Life in jail

Once Tom's car was in the "IN JAIL" spot, Josh turned to him with a helpless expression plastered on his face, "Do you know where you went wrong?" Asked Josh, his voice had a tinge of sadness in it.

Tom nodded his head up and down whilst his face was still buried in his knees, after a few seconds he raised his head and rested his chin on top of his arms draped over his knees. "Do I still get to buy the street, though?" He asked with a half hopeful half resigned expression on his face.

"Hmm..." Replied Josh as he closed his eyes and deliberated over the question for a few seconds. "Well, while you're in jail you don't need a place to live right, you know... since you live in jail. So then doesn't that mean that you wouldn't be able to because you can't do the legal processes and stuff so you wouldn't be able to buy anything?" Stated Josh as he once more opened his eyes.

"Well, I guess you're right..." Replied Tom unhappily after listening to what Josh had to say, he then gathered up the two dice that had been thrown and scattered across the board and offered them over to Josh.

Josh opened his hand and Tom dropped the two dice gently into his open hand. With the dice in hand, Josh then shook the dice and let them fall one by one back onto the board. The first dice to drop landed on a five, and the second landed on a six. "Hmm, a five and a six..." Said Josh in a low voice to himself, he then gently grasped his dog and began to tap it onto the squares one by one, "One, two, three, four, five... and one, two, three, four, five... one, two, three, four, five... and one, two, three, four, five... and one, two, three, four, five... one and two, three, four and five, I think that's it..." he said as he let go of his dog and let it stand on the square named Virginia Avenue.

"Mhm, and you went past go so you get two hundred in cash too..." Mumbled Tom who was still sitting almost completely curled up into a ball.

"Okay!" Responded Josh cheerily as he took two hundred in cash from the bank, he then looked back at his dog after dropping the money into his pile. "Hmm, Virginia Avenue is one hundred and sixty, what do you think-?" Josh began to ask Tom but stopped himself.

He looked at Tom who was sitting with a resigned expression on his face, "I don't think I can be the banking guy if I'm in jail..." He stated sadly.

"Ah, you're probably right... but then, who'll do it for me?" Josh asked with a confused expression on his face.

"Well... I guess you could convince the jail to let me go, and I could do it for you..." Tom said with a smile on his face as he tilted his head slightly to the side.

Josh immediately shook his head hastily from side to side, "I can't, I can't! That's illegal and I can't go to jail yet! I'm too young, and I still have my whole life ahead of me!" Cried out Josh as he squidged his eyes shut.

Meanwhile, Tom was looking at Josh with a very unamused look on his face, "...Right." He replied after a moment's silence as Josh slowly reopened his eyes once again.

Tom pouted then looked to the side, "Well then I guess you'll have to do both..." He replied with a sullen expression on his small face.

"Can I really do that, though? Does that even work-?" Josh asked him with a confused expression on his face. "Wouldn't that be cheating since I can choose the prices and stuff myself though...?" he questioned as he tilted his head to the side slightly.

"Hmm, I guess you could but... I'm sure it'll be fine." Replied Tom as he let out a sigh and rested the side of his face on his arms with a resigned look still in his eyes.

"Hmm, I guess it'll be fine then," Josh said with a warm smile appearing on his face. "Well then, uhm, Virginia Avenue is originally one hundred and sixty in cash, so... since virgin is close to Virginia it means that lots of virgins live in Virginia, they're sad and alone decreasing the cost of the street, but since there are so many of them the price still rises."

"Virgins?" Tom asked him whilst giving him a quizzical look.

"Well, yeah, I heard someone talking about them, they said that they were lonely and sad people..." Replied Josh as he scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"Oh, okay, well... I guess if they're all lonely they would all group together in one street..." Tom mused with an uninterested expression plastered on his face.

Josh looked at Tom breifly before looking back, "Yes, well, so the street would get more pricey, so instead of one hundred and sixty it'll be one hundred and eighty two."

Josh then looked back over at Tom with a quizzical expression on his face to see if Tom looked as though it was a suitable price to buy the street at. However, Tom just looked back at him with a somewhat uninterested expression as though he wasn't reaally listening or didn't really care either way.

"What do you think?" Asked Josh as he continued to look at Tom.

""Hmm," Replied Tom as he focused properly on Josh, "Ah, yes..." he mumbled.

"Are you okay?" Josh asked with a concerned expression plastered on his face.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Replied Tom with a slight smile blossoming on his small face. "I'm just, you know... reflecting on getting sent to jail, collecting the funds to bribe- I mean to use when I get out..." he said while scratching the back of his neck.

"Uhm… right…" Replied Josh, his eyebrow was slightly raised and he was giving Tom a questioning look.
