Incorrect ways to play a board game

Josh pressed his cupped hands together and shook the dice in his palm a couple of times, he then opened his hands and released the dice onto the board. They spin a few times, the first dice to stop landed on a three and the other dice landed on a five.

"It landed on three, then five. So that means I go three spaces five times right?" Josh said as he pointed at the dice and turned to look into Tom's face.

Tom looked at the dice and shook his head up and down fervently. "That's right, that must be it."

After hearing this, Josh then grabbed the dog and set him at the starting line, he then used his small fingers to count out the squares to find his spot, "One, two, three… one, two, three… one, two, three… one, two, three… one, two, three…" he said. He then moved the dog over to the square where his index finger was lying.

"Mhm, okay. So I'm on a square which has a cool train and a name on it. Oh, oh, didn't the instructions say I could buy it? Uhm let's see, it's called Penny…? Pennsylvania Railroad, and it's two hundred. Woah, that's expensive, two hundred… that could get me at least fifteen freddos!" Josh said with an incredulous look.

"You're right…" said Tom under his breath, but the lack of noise in the room made it so that Josh could easily hear his voice and make out his words. "Mum said inflation or somethings high these days. She said it's why candy's so much more pricey now."

"Mhmhm! It's much more pricey, Fanta in a litre bottle is so much more pricey than Fanta in a can. It's the same Fanta! It should be the same price…" Josh said with a pitiful look on his face, his eyebrows furrowed and a pout on his lips.

"Wait, Pennsylvania? Isnt that a place? I saw it on tv it had a vampire and stuff! Then how's it a train on here…?" Tom asked as he looked at the board in confusion.

"Oh, I don't know… anyway, well…" Josh turned his attention back to the game, "Two hundred… two hundred… that's this much, right?" He said as he carefully picked up two one hundred notes from his pile of munupoly cash. He waved them both at Tom who only nodded at him then when he was about to place the cash back in the box with the rest of the banks cash Tom stopped him and shook his index finger at Josh.

"No, no! Stop, wait. I saw this on tv, you have to negotiate the price so that you can spend more money, mum said that things which cost more are better quality or something. So you should argue to spend more." Tom then nodded his head with a satisfied look on his face.

"Oh, uhm, okay." Josh replied with a somewhat confused expression on his face. "Then… wait how do I argue up the prices with?" Questioned Josh as he tilted his head to the side slightly.

"I guess I'll have to do it then! Leaving the troublesome work to me… sigh." Replied Tom happily, his poorly concealed smile didn't nearly convince Josh that he didn't want to do it.

"But then who'll do it on your turns?" Josh replied after finding one of the holes in this idea.

Tom thought for a moment before clicking his fingers and replying, "You'll have to."

"Mhm, okay." Said Josh as he nodded repeatedly. "Then about this station-" he started but was quickly interrupted by Tom.

"This price is fair! We can't except too much, this railroad simply isn't worth too much money!" Tom said as he banged his small fist on his thigh with a pained expression.

"Uhm, uhm, then how about I raise the price only a slight bit? How does two hundered and twenty sound?" Josh questioned, his tone becoming more and more professional as he spoke.

"No, no. We simply can't accept this much. The highest we can't do is two hundred and ten." Tom replied quickly whilst shaking his head aggressively.

"Well I can't possibly go lower than two hundred and fifteen at the least. You must accept this at the very least! Don't try to cheat me now." Retorted Josh as he shut his eyes tight.

"Fine. Fine! Fine… two hundred and fifteen, fine." Tom said finally, he then let out a loud sigh.

A happy expression overtook both Josh and Tom's faces and their aggressive demeanours instantly changed, they then proceeded to smile at each other warmly.

"See, it's good, right?" Tom said.

"Mhm!" Josh replied as he started to nod once again.

Tom then reached into the box and rummaged through the deeds for the railroads and took out one of them randomly, he then passed it to Josh who in turn handed over the two hundred and fifteen cash to Tom to put into the bank.

By some stroke of luck the one Tom had managed to pick out just so happened to be the correct card, Josh took it and placed it alongside the pile of cash he had.

Josh then picked up the dice gingerly and held them up to Tom's hand, he waited for Tom to open his hands to drop the dice in, Tom opened his hands and cupped them to catch the dice, "Here!" Josh said with a smile as he dropped the dice into Tom's open palms.

Tom shook the dice carefully so they wouldn't fall then after a good shake he dropped them onto the board one after the other, the first dice read six and the second dice read one.

"Six spaces once… seems kind of bad…" Tom said with a pout on his lips. He sighed quietly then moved his car across each square as he counted them out loud, "One, two, three, four, five and six."

"Oh there's a pretty blue on this square, it says Oriental Avenue. A hundred cash." Tom said to himself quietly.

"So I'm the arguer bank person this time right?" Josh said, the stars in his eyes clearly showing his excitement.
