"What? Are you fucking crazy? Out of all the contracs that you have chosen you chose to do that? That is just insane!" Skadi almost wanted to throw hands at Yuki for her insane idea of using such an oath, because never in her life would she thought that there would be actually someone who is bold enough to use that contract.

Oath of Annihilation is something Skadi is very familiar with as she has used that only once in her lifetime, because in her times it was still very well known by a lot of people, but when she used it she regretted it because now to this day, she still has to bear that Oath, as it was a contract for a lifetime. Until she dies, it will never come off. That was her contract.

From that moment on she swore that she would never sign a contract using that oath because it is just too cruel and evil. But now, she has heard it again after thousands of years and her reaction was just as Yuki expected, shock and fear. She knows that Skadi is a very old being and she must be very familiar with this Oath, so of course she wants to test how courageous she really is. Her plan was simple, if Skadi accepted it, then she would not mind using that Oath anymore since she knows that Skadi will actually do everything for Kurokami.

If she didn't, then nothing she will continue with using the Oath of Annihilation since Skadi has disappointed her, she already thinks that Skadi would definitely use it just for the sake of her granddaughter, but there was still that thought in her that she still doesn't know Skadi that much. She doesn't even have any information on what she is like because she is just too old.

"So, are you going to sign one with me or not?" Yuki simply asked with a cold and indifferent look on her face as she stared down at Skadi waiting for her to make a decision.

Everyone was quiet and tense because no one thought that things would come this far, they could be already considered a family, but Yuki still insisted on using a Contract just to make sure that Skadi would keep her word, and because of this, the Elders is starting to have a bad impression on Yuki now, but of course, Yuki doesn't care about what they think of her.

But it was just the Elders, Kurokami was the one who was the most anxious about it because her grandmother was in a seriously tight spot, she could just tell that she didn't want to sign that contract, but she also knew that she had to. Just as she was about to say something to Yuki, it only took one look from her to make her swallow her words as now she only leaves everything to the both of them.

"Alright… fine. I don't even know why you want me to sign this, but if you want to, I can." After so much deliberation, Skadi finally decided that she would sign the Contract with Yuki, even though she hated the idea of it, it was not as bad as the contract that she needed to sign when she was still young.

"Well… of course I want you to sign in so that I can guarantee that my wife would be safe with you. Let me tell you this, I trusted the wrong person before and because of that, she fell into the hands of my enemy, and I fucking regret that decision. Because of that one single mistake, she suffered so much, and that is something I don't want to ever repeat again." Yuki simply answered her question which made things a lot clearer for Skadi, but she took a look at confirmation from Kurokami to only see her nodding which means that it was all real.

"Then you don't have to worry about that, with me by her side. You can be at ease, she will be the safest person in Nightingale. No one will be able to hurt her as long I protect her." Skadi swore as she then brought out a small wisp of her Soul Realm to start the process of the Oath. But just as she was waiting for Yuki to do the same, she heard her laughing which made her confused.

"It seems that you are actually honest with your words. There's no need to sign the Oath with me, I was just merely testing you to see what are your limits with my wife. If you agree to sign it, I will not let you sign anymore, but if you refuse me, then let's just say that you're going to be signing a contract with someone worse than the devil." Yuki chuckled before carrying Kurokami in her arms and flew away towards her house.

"Hey, wait! What do you mean by that?" But the only thing that answered her was the gust of wind as Yuki was already gone and when she realized it, she also flew away towards their house. She wasn't even stopped by Yuki's barrier as she only passed through it like it was nothing.

From the complete opposite side of Yuki's house, the people that she let free were currently inside a room, and they were currently being questioned about what happened from their trip to capture the Phoenix that had run away from them.

"So explain to me, how can such a young Phoenix escape from all of your hands? You guys are the pride of our family, yet you actually let something like a little bird escape your hands? Are all of you actually useless?" The head of the Family asked all of them with cold eyes.

"Family Head! Wait! Let us explain! The Phoenix is actually more intelligent than we thought, so it tricked us multiple times, and until it actually escaped from us…" As the young man begins to explain it, his voice becomes weaker and weaker as he no longer has the confidence to say anything more because it seems that they are just making excuses.

"It just means that all of you are dumb to let it trick all of you fucking morons!" The Family Head yelled as all of them then flinched in fear.

"We…we just didn't expect for it to be so smart. But we even put a tracker onto its body, but we didn't think that it would hide at a hidden cultivator's domain…" One of the young women said as she tried to explain some more things.

"What? So does that mean that the hidden cultivator that you are talking about has the baby phoenix in his hands?" The Family Head became even more angry after hearing those words as he knew that this news would definitely come out.

He was the Family Head of the Talon family, the most powerful Duke Family currently at Nightingale. He had done a lot of things that put him in this position, so there was no way he was going to let it be stained by a bunch of kids.

"No… actually that hidden cultivator actually helped us a little. She tried to hunt it down, but she failed to do so, but we didn't know that at first so we accidentally made an enemy with her. But when we explained everything to her, she let us go, and she even gave us back our tracker and also this Phoenix Feather that dropped from trying to shoot it down." The woman said as she then carefully handed the Feather that Yuki gave her to their Family Head.
