The force the two felt while just being near the Demon was overwhelming. Cackling from the Demon's mouth made Chase contort his face in disgust. "Mmm, I'll be able to consume those powerful human Spirits and those of Demi. I can't wait!"

Widening lips stretched well beyond human ability when the face cracked a devilish grin. Hatch's skull was covered in a layer of short, dark hair that stood on end watching the showdown.

The three men in white seemed to be circling around the Demon and all of them placed their hands on the ground. The man that saved Hatch and Chase had his palms glowing yellow, while the other two's were blue.

Golden ropes shone from the ground wrapped themselves around the building-sized creature. Its dozens of legs beating on the streets and cars being piked through by the sharp points.

Not long after, twelve blue pillars seemed to have fallen from the sky, landing in different parts of the beast's body causing it to collapse.

The three men suddenly changed positions and began chanting quickly, it was difficult to hear over the car alarms resounding all over the place, but an even greater blue light was emitted by all three this time.

Chase and Hatch could sense, somehow, that this was going to be a much more powerful spell than before. Hiding within the wreckage of the college, they watch intently through the large hole left before as the enormous Demon is rendered immobile.

However - during their chant - the large centipede monster released a similar, dark energy from its body, cracking the pillars and eroding the ropes of light.

The flailing of its long body afterwards causes the men to be sent flying and stop their spell.

"Hey!" Another man in white yelled out from atop a small building. "Do you need help?"

Hatch recognized the axe-wielder that helped them before responding, "You're from the Guard Corps, right? Make a barrier and protect the two humans over there, we can handle this."

"Okay." Was his only answer as he quietly chanted with a clear light flowing from his palm into the ground, a field expanded from where he made contact and not even an instant later, he suddenly appeared in from of the brothers.

Chase was surprised by his vanishing and took him a moment to realize the man was right next to him. He wore a necklace with a yellow, red, and in the center, a white bead. The flower on the back of his robe reminded Chase of a lotus with red, yellow, white, and black petals.

The younger brother was thinking back to the man with the axe referring him as someone from a 'Corps'.

But that daydreaming was ended quickly as the hundred-legged beast produced some sort of slimy pod. Chase quickly determined it to be some sort of egg with the much smaller monsters inside - and sure enough one came cutting its way out and immediately came after him.

The man next to him pulled a double-edged sword that looked a bit on the short end with a sharp, squared tip.

One stroke was all it took for the fight to be over. On the handle was a series of small holes lined up, an one glowed after the monster disappeared.

"I will have you all killed for your impudence. This was supposed to be a quick and filling meal so I'll make it as such!"

Multiple of those eggs came from the long body and created an army.

"Are you sure you don't need help!"

"You need to protect the humans, that's the most important thing - and you might not be able to keep up the barrier of you helped us fight this thing!" The axe man stated.

The one with the saber next to us clicked his tongue in frustration and the queen began to call an order, "Capture me those delectable little things, darlings."

The disgust on Hatch's lips were prominent. Chase laughing a bit after taking notice for his older brother's reaction. He thought it was nice he could make real expressions after all these years.

But that joy was trampled as a horde of centipedes came straight for them. The new, fourth, man stepped forward with his blade. "Levadios, second stage," he calmly spoke.

The saber had a rigged green glow that illuminated the slowly incoming darkness. Clouds came closer surrounding the immense Demon as it fought the other three.

There were so many of these large creatures that Chase could only imagine how the fight with the big one was going.

But, in a flash, the energy saber sliced through a large chunk of the stampeding centipedes. They didn't stop coming though. It was like lamb to the slaughter, they stood absolutely no chance.

Chase was thinking to himself, 'Is he stronger than the other three?'

The way was cleared to show the struggle the other three were having. Blood trickling down the men's' bodies could barely be detected by Hatch from afar. He could tell the fourth man was anxious. His body trembling, but it seemed he was holding himself back.

Chase could tell he wanted to help them. He probably wanted to stay with them and this thought made Chase feel useless, just like in the situation with Kevin.

The Demon released an incomparable amount of monsters from before, not stopping the endless waves.

The man in front of the brothers had to hack down as many of them as possible, but it was clear he couldn't. Even with the axe-user making his axe into two and splicing the Demon queen and her hellish offspring, it didn't really change anything.

Hatch held Chase to his chest once the man standing guard was pierced by one of the stray legs trampling him.

Crimson leaking heavily as it pooled at the feet of the monsters ignoring him. Their wide mouths opening wide as the same clear liquid flowed out like a fountain. Coming in closer with one entering through the hole and reaching for them.

It was only a moment - but Hatch gazed upon a woman with golden hair that reached her lower back. She wore black robes with a crown above a staff on the back with flowing locks cascading down after dropping from nowhere.

A powerful kick was all it took to knock away the beast. The next thing astounded Hatch to no end - she pulled a closed balisong and elegantly whipped it open, revealing a small blade.

Even her movement to swing it downwards was like a wash in an untouched spring as Hatch watched this stranger sliced the Demon all the way from the college with one simple action.

The Demon couldn't even respond before all her offspring began to sail and disintegrate before them. Hatch didn't even realize he was still holding down his brother while staring at the woman. A gleam of sunlight broke through the curtain of darkness with her turning around with bright green eyes and going onto her knees to speak with them.

"Are you two alright? That must have been quite the experience."

Hatch looked on with a wide mouth before finally realizing she was talking to him, "Y-yes! I'm fine!"

"Well, I'm not!" A muffled scream came from Hatch's chest as he rapidly let go of his brother and hid his hands behind his back.

Hatch and Chase both clean up a bit with the men wearing white were out scouring for injured people. One man came around to heal the four that helped the brothers. All of them making a full recovery.

"Well, I think we need to be going now, but I'll give you this..." The woman wrapped a necklace with clear beads around Hatch's neck. "Always keep this on, it will protect you from those Demons and monsters."

Hatch could feel her warm hands and tried not to think about anything, however, all Chase could do was think, 'This is a face I've NEVER seen Hatch make!' He winked at his older brother who glanced away quietly Joy. She handed another to Chase before getting up to leave.

"W-wait!" Hatch yelled. "Umm... sorry I didn't catch your name."

"Oh, you can just call me Natalie."

The 'blubbering idiot' vibe he was giving off was suppressed as he gave a serious delivery of his question, "Can you help us check on our mother!? We don't know if she's okay."
