Chapter Twenty One

Prom had finally arrived.

I showed my parents the tattoo I got. My mom liked it. My dad was more skeptical.

"Why on your wrist though?" he asked.

I shrugged in reply.

Hermione came over so that we could prepare.

"I missed this." she said as she piled my hair in a bun.

"Yeah. So, how are things with you and Jayden?" I asked.

Her hand paused on my hair but as soon as she paused, she continued.

"What things?"

I rolled my eyes.

"Oh don't deny it Hermione. If you think because of John Wick we didn't see you guys holding hands last week, you are really mistaken."

She sighed.

I continued.

"Look, if it's uncool to you, just tell him you are not interested. It's not fair to string the poor boy along."

"I know but every time -"

"You think about the lies you have been through in the past 7 months. I know."

"Exactly."

She released her hand on my hair and I turned to face her.

"Hermione, I don't think he cares about that anymore. If he did, he would have moved away from you last week Friday but he didn't. From what I've seen, he likes you. Like really likes you."

"Just tell her you've fucked him already." I heard Dustin say.

Hermione glared at her brother as her cheeks became a glaring red.

"What?" I asked.

"I wanted to tell you sooner Tracy but, with prom and everything, it kinda slipped my mind." she said looking at my floor.

"And you told Dustin?"

"He's my brother."

"I am your best friend."

"And I am leaving." Dustin said.

"Oh no. You got yourself into our conversation, you will stay."

"Ugh!" he groaned.

I turned back to Hermione.

"When did it happen?" I asked.

"Wednesday. He invited me over and well, things escalated from there."

"And you didn't feel the need to stop it."

"He wanted it. And I was kinda in the moment."

"It must have been an epic moment." I muttered. "How was it?"

"Epic." was her answer.

"I'm happy for you. You guys will make amazing babies."

"I know right. I honestly can't wait to carry Hermy Junior and Jayden Junior." Dustin said.

"Don't you have a bow tie to decipher?" Hermione asked him.

He pointed at her. "That I do. See you guys downstairs."

When the door closed behind him, I heaved a sigh of relief.

Hermione was still focused on her silver heels.

"Hermione?" she looked up. "I'm happy for you."

She smiled, "thanks."

"Is he coming to pick you up? He is your date right?"

"No and yes. I told him I would meet him there."

"OK."

After adding extra layer of powder and checked the mirror to be sure our hairdo won't just flop on our faces, we left the room.

My parents, Chad and Fallon were already at the foot of the stairs. Dustin was in front of them, a proud look on his face.

When we reached him, we all grouped ourselves in a hug.

"Wow," he breathed. "You guys look amazing."

"Thanks." Hermione said pretending to blush.

"I'm serious. If I was your boyfriend, I would have kissed both of you by now."

"Eww." Hermione and I said at the same time.

Dustin brought out his tongue and did a choking sound.

"Yeah, that even sounded wrong in my mouth."

"Alright, picture time." Fallon said.

While we posed for pictures, Hermione said.

"You finally deciphered how to wear a bow tie."

"Yup. Thanks to Pinterest and YouTube. Mostly Pinterest."

"You can teach me then." I said.

He frowned.

"It took me half an hour to have this impeccable look in front of you."

After all the pictures were taken, we walked to Dustin's car.

"I can't believe we are graduating soon." Hermione said, entering the back seat.

"I know right. You know we set a record?" I asked.

"Really? What?" Dustin asked gunning the engine.

"We literally went to every social event our school organized without dates."

"Yeah. Homecoming in Freshman yeah, together. We even went to junior prom together." Hermione said.

"Weird." we all said.

When we got to school, the place was already jampacked.

"How is this place packed?" Dustin asked.

"No idea."

We got out of the car and walked towards the building.

If this was movie, we would be in slow motion. I can imagine it already:

Dustin in the middle and unbuttoning his suit. Me pushing tendrils of my hair behind my ear and smirking at some random strangers. Hermione pushing her hair behind her shoulder and giving the middle finger to the W(B)itches.

Well we did all that, except without the slow motion.

Curse real life.

"Is it just me or does this prom feel like the homecoming in DUFF?" Hermione asked.

"It feels like the homecoming in DUFF." Dustin answered.

"Who do you think is going to be prom king and queen?" I asked.

"Allison obviously. As for the king, it can be anyone." Hermione said.

We went to the snack table and got ourselves punches.

"I have been meaning to ask you, during your weird way of making money, did you sleep with any big porn star?"

"Nah. Just aspiring ones."

"And how was it?" I couldn't help but ask.

"Neither had the fire Jayden had. For a virgin, he really knows all the things to make a girl enjoy herself."

I spat back in my cup just as Dustin said, "and my thirst has been quenched."

She shrugged, "you asked me the questions."

"Hey Hermione." Katrina said. She was with a dark skinned boy who had clear hazel eyes.

Wow, those are nice eyes.

"Hi Kat. And who is this charming gentleman? I have never seen him in this school before."

"Yeah. He's my cousin. Julio."

"Hola¡" he said with an easy smile.

"Hi." Hermione said.

"Wow, genes really run in your family." Dustin said shaking Julio's hand.

Julio didn't say anything. He only cocked his head.

"Sorry. Julio speaks Spanish. He actually came all the way from Barcelona." Katrina said apologetically. Then she turned to her cousin and spoke in quick language that wasn't obviously English.

When she was done, he turned to look at Dustin and smiled.

"Gracias¡ Los genes también deben correr en tu familia."

"What did he say?"

"He said: thank you, genes must also run in your family."

"Well merci beaucoup monsieur."

Julio cocked his head again.

"I'll see you later Hermione." Katrina said dragging her cousin along with her.

"Adiós, fue un placer conocerte a ti y a tus hermanas." (Goodbye it was lovely to meet you and your sisters).

"What did he just say?"

Hermione and I shrugged.

"All I picked was goodbye."

Ever since the fiasco at Gin's, all the W(B)itches split up. Katrina and Hermione became more closer and Joyce just began to live normally. Who knew she loved Toyotas.

"When is your date coming? As much as I love the record we set, it sounds depressing and sad too."

The moment Dustin said that, the lights dimmed and four boys entered the hall. Four very familiar boys.

Wow, their outfits are fire.

"There they are." I sang.

Fred looked around the room until his eyes landed on us. He pointed to us and soon enough, the four of them walked towards.

"Hey, hey." he greeted.

He hugged me.

"Nice suit."

"Thanks. Balenciaga made it."

I blinked at him.

What?

"I'm kidding. Hand me down from my dad. He wore during his wedding."

"Oh."

"Have they said the prom king and queen?" Jayden asked.

"No. I'm guessing they'll start soon."

"Alright, Trace Race, we have an announcement to make." Fred said.

I quirked an eyebrow.

"Since when did you call me Trace Race?" I asked folding my hands.

"Since now. You guys ready?"

They all nodded at themselves before looking at me, pride clear on their face.

"Remember last year when you found out we were virgins?" Clark asked.

"How can I forget. You threatened to kill me."

"And you remember the promise pact we made?"

"I pinned it to my pin board so no."

"And remember we promised to not lose our virginities until freshman year in college?"

"Wait, do you guys want us-?"

Clark stopped me before I could put a word in.

"No. No. We are just saying that we kinda broke that promise. Well two of us." he said pointing to Caesar and Jayden.

I gave Caesar a skeptical look.

"I'm gay." was all he said.

"That's right. And he already has boyfriend." Fred said.

"But did he-?"

"Not yet." Caesar answered.

Is that a smile I'm seeing on Caesar's face. He must really be smitten (Do they still say that word?).

"As for Jayden, he gave it to someone who is with us right now." Clark said.

"Really, who?" I asked looking around us.

"I hope it's not me. I'm a ladies man." Dustin said.

"We know you know." Fred said with an eyeroll.

Wow, deja vu right there.

"And congrats Hermione. You picked the right guy." Clark said.

"Yeah. Be glad it wasn't Clark you fell for."

Hermione and I shared a look.

If you remember when Hermione took me to Clark's house so that I could tutor Solane and Selone, you will know that Hermione fell for Clark.

"Can I have your attention please." the Principal said tapping on the microphone.

We all turned to look at the man. In his hand was a card and beside him was probably a freshman holding a plate that held the crowns to the prom king and queen.

"I am sure you are am having fun. Before we begin the dance, it is time to announce the prom king and queen. The people you all voted for. Without further ado, your prom king is Caesar Brown."

We all turned to look at the blond boy who had the shocked look on his face that was on ours.

"You entered for prom king?" Clark asked.

"I was the captain in drama club. It was mandatory to enter for prom king. I didn't think they'd pick me."

"Caesar Brown?" the Principal called again.

"You'd better go up there."

There were applauses as Caesar went to collect his crown. It kinda fitted with his prom suit.

"And your prom queen..." there was anticipation everywhere. I could smell it. "Allison Hunderson."

There was a loud squeal. Moments later, Allison was standing besides Caesar, her crown on her head.

"Alright, now it's time for the slow dance. Prom king and queen, please lead us."

I couldn't help but laugh as Caesar led Allison to the dance floor.

"Someone please tell me they have his expression on camera."

"Just took it." Fred and Dustin said.

That look was priceless.

Minutes later, Jayden led Hermione to the dance floor.

Dustin, Fred and Clark looked at each other.

"Will you dance with me Hermione?" they all asked.

"I will." I said.

"With whom?" Fred asked.

"Three of you. Come on let's go before the slow motion song starts and we are forced to dance like couples."

As we danced to whatever techno was playing, I couldn't help but think about the three guys dancing with me.

I had always thought I wouldn't have any friends. But when Dustin and Hermione stuck with me during sixth grade, I knew I wasn't alone. And now I have four amazing friends.

Now I know that no matter what happens, I will never be alone.

I'm glad I met the four virgins.

THE END.

-*-

And the end.

I'm tearing up right now. We are finally done with The Four Virgins.

I know a lot of things need to done, tweaked and changed and my writing skill still needs improving.

Even though we are at the end of this book, we still need an epilogue.

If you want to know what happened in Colorado, do comment.

I know I never asked for it but please I need all the votes. If you had a chapter you liked but forgot to vote for, please go back and vote.

Thank you.

I seriously want to thank all of you for sticking with me. Thank you so much for giving my book a chance.

Spoiler: the epilogue is set a year after.
