3 First death

<Welcome to the Main Hub World !>

He was blinded once again by the sudden transition from pitch darkness to a radiant forest, with the sun shining brightly in the sky. Frederick found himself in the middle of an abundant forest. He still had some questions, but he seemed to have missed the opportunity, so with a gloomy face, he looked around him.

The trees in this forest are incredibly tall, their tops almost out of his sight.

The leaves themselves are massive, adding to the imposing scale of the vegetation, making Frederick quite amazed by the splendid vegetation.

The verdant grass reached up to his shoulders. If he were any tinier, his sight would only face those tall grass. He was glad to be tall enough, or otherwise, he wouldn't even be able to navigate through this forest. At the same time, he was attempting to survey the forest and speculate about his location. Frederick felt something was wrong or missing. He looked more carefully, and indeed, something was missing. He was goddamn buck-naked!

He let out a weary sigh as he made his way through the dense forest.

As he walked, he found that there were only more trees and more grass. Lost in his thought, he said "status," and the blue panel appeared once again.

'The puppet said that an average human has 10 points per stat and gains only a point per level… But something is wrong…Let's suppose I reach level 100 and put all my points in strength. Does it mean that I am only x10 stronger than the average human? I mean, it's great and all, but not very "godly," as a gun could still quickly kill you.

First, you probably cannot just dump every point in only a stat, as you'll likely just hurt yourself as your body or mind wouldn't be able to handle it. Just imagine if your head exploded because your brain couldn't handle the information from your perception. Or if you run ten times faster but crash everywhere as your perception isn't high enough … And even if you have enough perception, can your brain handle the information?

Second, I don't think the Chronicle would consider someone with the strength of 10 people but can't handle it as a "god," or perhaps the Authority thing has something to do? Well, the puppet said that we only get a single point per level up … So I could probably increase my by around 10% stat per lev-'

However, all of a sudden, his eyes widened as a terrible theory appeared in his mind…

'What if it was compound? Then it means that ...'

Having previously worked in a management company, Frederick was well-acquainted with mathematical concepts. At this moment, he grasped the significance of compound percentages more than anyone.

As he was dreaming and in his world. Some hysterical noises made Frederick go back to reality abruptly. He hesitated for a moment before his curiosity took over, and he carefully approached the clamor. This very bothersome noise looks like a laugh mixed with some rusty metal grating a rock, making it almost unbearable to anyone's sane ears.

As Frederick cautiously steps through the vegetation on high alert. However, What he saw left him in such horror that he nearly stumbled. Frederick quickly sought refuge in a tiny hole in a tree that fitted him roughly. Frederick's hands started to shake because of the fear, but he didn't care as he was busy trying to stay as silent as possible. At this moment, he felt that even breathing was too noisy and only wished that he could be invisible.

What Frederick saw was a type of hideous monstrosity that could perfectly fit in a horror movie. Heck, if a child were to see this thing, he would need therapy for life.

The gruesome entity stood at a towering 2 meters, a humanoid form crafted entirely from what seemed to be rotten flesh. Its nightmarish presence was accentuated by its claws, sharp and menacing as if designed to tear apart every being unlucky enough to be on its path. Its grotesque face had an abundance of eyes, an unsettling cluster that covered its face like a grotesque paint. Each eye fixated on its surroundings with a sinister gleam, and its entire being seemed to exude an aura of malice and dread.

Fortunately, this hideous monster doesn't seem to have noticed Frederick yet as it was too busy chewing a headless woman. Her unfortunate naked body appeared incredibly gruesome, with her breasts torn away, her insides exposed for all to witness, and both her head and one of her legs was simply missing.

Frederick has never been so frightened. The sound of bones breaking under the teeth of the creature made everything worse! As it was feasting on the body, Frederick remained hidden with every part of his body completely still, not a muscle twitching… and he remained patient as every minute felt like days.

After an hour had passed, the gnawing finally ceased. Frederick sensed the abomination moving away, its horrifying cries gradually fading into the distance. Frederick had never been so glad and even thanked the tree that hid him multiple times.

After ensuring this evil entity was gone, he cautiously emerged from his hiding with an uncomfortable face and stared at the place where the horror was gone. Slowly, he began to step backward in the opposite direction, his eyes never leaving the path the creature had taken.

However, as he walked, his back hit something. And with an even greater horror, he slowly turned his eyes only to find that he was face to face with another one of these atrocities.

'…There was another one?'

And before he could do anything, the flesh monster seized Frederick's head and, with a swift movement, put some of the deformed claws of its left hand right into the mouth of Frederick and with a horrifying tearing sound… The monster tore Frederick's lower jaw alongside a part of his throat!

There was a fountain of blood, with the source being his throat. Frederick wanted to struggle under the intense pain, but he could not do anything. No matter how much he tried to hit the creature with his bloody hands.

The monster threw away Frederick's jaw before violently thrusting its sharp teeth directly into his rib and, with a sickening crunch, directly tore a chunk of him alongside a few organs that weren't supposed to be outside his body.

This made Frederick, who was already in pain, almost immediately have a mental breakdown, and everything was red not only because of the blood but also because of the intense pain.

With a heavy thud, the monster dropped Frederick on the grass that was completely red with his blood and started devouring him alive. While he was agonizing and drowning in his blood, his vision began to fade, and the last thought he had was, 'It's so painful…'

Before everything went black, however, it didn't last as Frederick suddenly woke up on a cold stone floor. As Frederick slowly regained his mind, he suddenly yelled out of pain.

The pain from his last encounter seemed to persist endlessly, and it was only after a few minutes of pleading and cries that he slowly calmed himself a little after seeing that his body was back to normal. Only then did he notice that he was in a pretty peculiar room.

"Wh-where am I?" Frederick's gaze swept across the room filled with countless clocks of varying sizes. Some were broken, and others twisted, but surprisingly, many continued to tick despite their twisted appearance.

With a heavy body, Frederick stood up, still with fear from his previous encounter in his mind, when a familiar blue panel appeared

<Upon your demise, authority "Forgotten times" (Unique) has been invoked. You will be transported back to the initial day within Chronicles.>

Suddenly, every clock stopped and moved in the opposite direction at an alarming speed, and with blinding light, Frederick found himself at the place he started with a familiar message
