The Visit (1)

Jia Fu was able to provide the customers that he had set up on specific time and locations with a satisfying tour of the houses, he was able to sell quite a bit of them immediately on that day and he had more tours to do tomorrow, he was now on the waiting place that he and the haunted house buyer agreed upon.

The place was called 'The Great Mall' which was a play on the great wall, it was part of a rather successful mall chain from a global company, Jia Fu waited in the central plaza of the large mall for about a few minutes that night before the buyer finally arrived.

It wasn't just one man but a group of three, there was a muscular man carrying large camera and a backpack filled with equipment, another was a Middle-aged man with a clean face and long hair along with a pair of spectacles, the last one was a woman carrying a laptop, her face was pretty normal and she looked like a tech geek, she had spectacles and her hair were twin braided.

"Hey bro are you the real estate manager?" the middle aged man questioned Jia Fu as he locked his eyes on Jia Fu's attire.

"Yes, I am and I presume you are the buyer?" Jia Fu asked.

"Yeah I am the buyer and I hope you don't mind touring us, if it turns out to be a real haunted house we will buy it for a television show, you can apply to join I bet you would fit in well" the middle aged man stated to Jia Fu.

"Haha uncle I am satisfied with my current career and I don't want to stand out than I already do" Jia Fu responded.

"Suite yourself then haha, let me introduce our team, the big guy is Big Bill and the girl is Annie, I am Fu Yong Gan" Yong offered his hand for a handshake as he introduced his team.

"Nice to meet you Mr.Fu, why are your allies names foreign even though they look like Chinese?" Jia Fu was a bit baffled by this.

"Oh they prefer to be called by their nicknames rather than their real names, anyway can we go now?" Fu Yong asked Jia Fu.

"Yes we can go now, its quite near the mall to be honest so don't get your hopes up for a real haunted house" Jia Fu warned before they get disappointed.

They all got into Jia Fu's car and he drove the customers towards the said haunted house, its gates were creaking as the wind pushed it, the house was very old and one can see some rotting wood outside of it, the windows had curtains that were old and tattered.

"This is the place we have agreed upon, a tour can be done since I have permission from the land owner" Jia Fu.

The three people got out of the car and observed the house, they thought it was creepy when they were in the car but now that they were out they found it terrifying, which was perfect for the show.

Annie was observing the windows and she saw a shadow of a figure inside the second floor but then disappeared after Annie rubbed her eyes for a few seconds, she now believed it was just a hallucination from loss of sleep.

Jia Fu opened the rusted gate with a loud creaking noise and they entered the front yard, the weeds were tall and the decors were covered in vine and moss, there were statues of angels as well but they only had one wing, the other seemed to have been broken, they arrived at the door step of the house and there was a talisman on the door along with a note.

"A word of warning, despair awaits behind this door, do not open unless truly necessary" Jia Fu read the note out loud.

"Must be a prank from the neighborhood kids, can you get us in?" Fu Yong questioned.

"Yes I can, well then let's proceed with the tour" Jia Fu responded with a smile but inside he was worried that it was a criminal hideout.

Jia Fu took out a key from his pocket, it was a very old key, like those large keys from fantasy movies, he pushed the key into the key hole and gripped the door knob, to Jia Fu's surprise the knob was rather cold to touch, like when it was left in the refrigerator.

Jia Fu opened the door and entered the house with the buyers, the hall was dirty and dusty, wallpaper was ripped and scattered all over the ground and the wind made them flutter.

Jia Fu's heart raced a bit at the sight but calmed after a few breaths as he then then went deeper with the buyers.
