A Surprise (3)

Feng ling awoken from what seemed like a nightmare unto the sight of the earlier man strangling her with a crazed smile, her arms flailing as she slammed and attempted to push his hands from her neck, her airways fully blocked caused her to slowly feel her body going cold and her head to feel light, her gagging and struggle echoing in her own home.

Feng was suffocating so she couldn't think properly but was able to remember what her parents told her when she was a kid "When a pervert or when you are in danger remember a mans weakness is their groin and a woman's is their chest"

She went and launched a kick with all her remaining strength to his groin and hoped for the best, and the best she did get as he fell to ground holding his groin, she didn't wait nor fought him since she knew her strength was not enough to put up a fight, she went out the room, gasping for air as she slammed the door shut and quickly used her couch as a barricade, adrenaline pumping through her body as she sprinted to the exit which was graciously left open by the man. To her dismay all her effort yielded little to stop the man and she was immediately caught again by her hair and was dragged into the kitchen where she was tossed to the cold tiled floor.

The man took her own kitchen knife and was quite specific to choose the butcher knife, he licked the blade and slowly walked to feng, she was backing away from him and had nothing to use to defend herself, her heart throbbed painfully and she was sure she saw how she would end but life works in mysterious ways, she bumped against foldable stool beside her fridge and she immediately picked it up, the man saw this and charged at her, she was unable to stand due to her legs being numb and being light headed, she closed her eyes and almost reflexively pushed the folded stool randomly, a few moments of silence and she heard metal clanging on the floor as the man dropped the knife.

Feng opened her eyes and saw where she hit him, she had miraculously whacked him on his groin yet again, she watched him curl as he stared at her with a murderous gaze, she frantically crawled away from the kitchen and screamed for help.

"HELP! PLEASE HELP!"

The neighbors heard the scream, no matter how good the sound proofing was, with her apartment door open and her screaming they heard her calls for help and as proud citizens they answered her, they opened their doors and found her crawling on the ground, the men of floor12 immediately went in carrying tools they could easily access, the females began comforting her, she had high mental resilience but her body was weak, the tenants called the cops and few moments later the men exited her home carrying a bloody beat up male, the police arrived 15 minutes later and apprehended the man while sending Feng to a hospital for a check up.

Feng later that day went to the police station and was questioned if the man had a motive on why he would attack her or did she know him, they told her who he was after she answered no.

The mans name was Fred kreux, a foreigner that was wanted by nearby cities, he had murdered many women and it was also discovered that he would bring their chopped bodies to a cabin in the woods nearby, within this cabin they found sigils and many statues of tentacled abominations, which they interconnected with cult activities.

"Ma'am we are truly sorry for what you have just gone through and we will compensate you for the inconvenience it has caused to you and your life"

"I-Its alright I'm just glad my life was saved just in time with minimal injuries"

Feng was genuinely grateful to the neighbors that helped her and the police that arrived in time, she was released after a few more questioning and it was already night, the owner of the convenience store gave her a paid leave for a week of recovery but she was surprised to find her friends waiting for her at the station arguing with a police officer.

"I will tell my dad to cut your check for endangering feng fengs life"

"Uhm ma'am please calm down, we have apprehended the man and ensured ms.Fengs safety"

"Sister meng I am fine no need to threaten the law enforcement"

"FENG FENG!"

Fu meng went and hugged feng ling with teary eyes and jia fu went and gave her a hug as well, both were plenty worried of her ever since they heard the incident from the news, they balled their eyes out while hugging feng ling.

"Were glad you safe sister feng, we shouldve stayed a bit longer, this wouldn't have happened if we did"

"It wasn't your fault guys don't blame yourselves"

Feng patted their backs and smiled at them as she let them be emotional for that moment.
