Thank goodness

From what Yu Lan told me, today the imperial concubines and I will be marrying the emperor at the same time. I wonder if that means we all have to consummate our wedding night together!? I'm extremely sorry but this lady has totally no interest in that. Sigh, l really hope that what Yu Lan said is correct. That since the emperor is deeply in love with one of his imperial concubine he'll forget about these rest of us.

"Dear God I pray that you grant the request of this old lady considering that you owe me one for tossing me here after my time. Please, please, PLEASE let the emperor be busy with his imperial concubine all night that he forgets that I even existed. " Sigh. The other concubines on the other hand though do make me curious as why he married them, what's their value to him. Seems like I'll get to have the chance to look into them later.

After entering the palanquin, I sat as the wedding entourage started moving. I quickly closed my eyes to rest them afterall at the end day this body was still poisoned and I was already pushing my body past its limit. Doctor Yun was correct in suggesting me to rest instead of going trough with this wedding but this also causes me to wonder, Who was the one who poisoned Yu Lan? But most importantly how and why?

When we finally arrived at the palace, the emperor extended out his hand to take mine. As I reached out to grab his hand I felt a soft smooth fabric on his hands, it seems he really disliked me! He didn't even want to make physical contact that he wore gloves or was he a clean freak. If he just wore the gloves cause he didn't want to make physical contact I can't help but be a little annoyed, I mean it's as if I'm infected with some sort of disease. Ok, well if we talk about disease then yes I'm poisoned but it's not like he'll get poisoned too by touching me. Hmph, emperor you just scored a zero in my book this lady will remember this. In the future even if you come and begged this lady for help I definitely won't help you.

To make matters worse when the emperor grabbed my hand he lightly held it as if he was holding something disgusting! At this point I might as well just punch him in the face and run away from my own wedding. Seriously this guy was just really asking for it today! You better hope that you don't come into the bedroom tonight otherwise this lady will show you what it means to never offend your elders. Hmph, if it wasn't for what Yu Lan's hard work and meticulous planning I would already have ran away from this wedding. Sigh, let's just pretend that this is just a contract that me and the emperor has. Yes a contract! I mean I only need to be here for roughly three years then I can officially run away from here.

I quickly followed the emperor as we stepped over the fire and came before the Empress Dowager. The previous emperor had already past so only the Empress Dowager can be the witness our marriage from his side as my father and his second wife stood to one side. We finally began the wedding ceremony as we bowed the our parents, heaven and earth, and lastly to each other. He then came over and led me to the bridal chamber and left soon after to complete the other ceremony for the concubines.

As I waited I realized that I was extremely hungry since no one gave me any food besides the remedy that Doctor Yun had provided me this morning. I looked around the room hoping to find some food but all there was, was the wine and the hangover porridge. I guess I'll just eat that I mean the emperor probably won't be coming back here tonight right?

Just as I was about to grab the porridge to eat I heard footsteps approaching at a quick pace. I ran back to the bed and sat down where I was before as if I never got up. Bang! The door swung opened as the emperor stepped in after and temperature in the room immediately dropped.

It was cold and stagnant as he said in a ice cold tone with a ting of hatred, "Chen Yu Lan, know that even though I married you it was only a political marriage. The only one I truly love is Zheng Su Chan and no matter what position you recieved from this marriage will not matter. You are only an empress in name in reality you are nothing but a hostage of the royal family. Everyone in the palace knows of this, of course don't expect your father to help cause he doesn't know that you're a hostage either otherwise he would never had sent his beloved daughter here. Here in the palace Zhen Su Chan is real the empress."

After making such a bold statement he turned around and left as quickly as he came, heading straight towards Imperial Concubine Zhen.

Sigh, thank goodness what a relief. He really had no intention to consummate on our wedding night. Well I guess I should call for Doctor Yun to check on my condition before heading to bed afterall tomorrow will be a busy day.

In one of the top tea shops sat three people as they looked over at the imperial palace.

"So the plans are finally going into play." said a cold stern faced man

"Heh, I can't believe that the young miss married the emperor. But can you believe what the emperor said to the young miss. Who does he think he is? He's not even qualified to stand next to the young miss. Hmph." a young childish looking boy stated

"Shhh, what does it matter to you? Everything is all within the young miss's plan we just need to follow our orders." said the lady with a veil over half her face with an enchanting figure

"Alright, now that all the pieces are starting to fall into place we should start getting ready for the next step. The young miss left a note saying that we are all to gather within a week time." the stern faced man said as he looked at the other two seriously.

"Yes sir" stated the other two as they bowed their heads before turning around to leave.

The three people quickly left the room as if they were never there to begin with. They quickly blended into the crowd below as if they were one of the few civilians still celebrating the emperor's wedding.
