Chapter 97: To The Southern District

As Shuya continued to swing his sword, the kiss of the sun on his skin suddenly made him remember something.

'Oh no! The Guildmaster said to arrive at the guild before the sun rises!'

He quickly began to tidy himself up and asked Godo to wake Folaei and Rai. But Godo replied back with a simple,

"Oh, they're already awake, also they are ready to go."

Hearing this made him a little less anxious, but he realised he was the only one who was still not prepared yet. So he hurriedly scurried back to his room to get ready.

A few minutes later, they arrived at the guild. There was a crowd of people there, and they seemed to be getting ready to set out.

The Guildmaster then quickly briefed the crowd about some important stuffs and things to do and not to do. After a while, they were already on the road to the academy.

The Guildmaster decided not to go through the streets and into the Southern District as this year, the streets were more crowded than usual, he wondered why. So he decided to take the crew outside of the city walls, then back in from the South Gate.

Soon, the crew began to move, the adventurers chatted with each other and some kids began to acquaint themselves with each other, though some were more or less, avoided.

The demon girl was a victim of this treatment, but she didn't seem to mind it.

As the day went by, nothing of note really happened. There were some slimes and some wolves and other monsters and animals, but more or less, it was a very calm day. Some people actually liked the calm, waking up everyday and risking your life with a few of your friends, or alone, is bound to make some people tired.

As the adventurers began to completely immerse themselves with nature, they heard something from the forest far in the distance. It was a roar, a deafening one at that. The Guildmaster quickly told the others to calm down.

"No worries guys, I'll deal with this."

Then he went rushing into the forest.

After that, the adventurers heard a few roars and moans until it finally became quiet. Then out came the Guildmaster with a grey wolf, about the size of a tree on his back.

The Guildmaster was no pushover, he used to be an adventurer himself, being able to climb upto the S rank of the adventurers guild, comparable to a 13th Grade Mage. Of course everyone here knew about this so they didn't try to stop him when he said he would take care of it.

The wolf was butchered and some people who had the <Inventory > were told to store them. Then they continued on their path.

The sun had begun to fall as the colour of the sky slowly changed into a darker shade, the day went by without anymore disturbances. They reached the Southern Gate by the time the sun began to disappear into the horizon, and the stars had revealed themselves.

The Guild paid for the adventurer's inn, then the night had already rose. Some of them were still outside doing god knows what, while a few had decided to hit the sack. Most were in the ground floor, doing what adventurers did best, booze and partying.

Godo and his team were part of the people who were outside. Godo was teaching each of them yet again. Shuya and Folaei were learning how to better control their Inner Power, and also how to utilise them, while Rai was learning how to instantaneously cast multiple spells. Nene was just sitting on a branch of a tree, and was meditating.

"Their progress is pretty quick, i guess my hypothesis about them being slowly but steadily strengthened due to my presence alone was true. Now together, they should be able to defeat a B-rank monster with some trouble."

He calmly and quietly spoke.

They continued to train till around 10 pm, then they washed themselves with magic, then swiftly went to bed. Well not including Godo of course, the night was his play time after all.

So, as usual, Godo flew out of the window and went to the Zurich Academy, to scout out the place or something. The academic year had not started yet, though it was already the 2nd month of the year, Godo didn't really know anything about the timing, per say, of mostly humane events in this planet. This included the events hosted by other races as well. So he quietly noted to learn of the timing of major and minor events that happened everywhere all year round.

Well due to this, there were not many people in the academy right now. Those who were there included some cleaners, some who stayed in the dorms during the holidays, as well as the principal and a few teachers.

So he quickly used magic to hide himself, and his presence completely. Then he landed on the ground. The academy was surrounded by walls of stone about 3 metres high. With a gate in the middle and some small doors scattered around for personnel and emergency uses. The compound itself was quite large. Enough to fit 4 buildings, 3 different training grounds, a garden, a playing area and a hall, and even then, the compound still had some areas left to be worked on.

After he looked around the outside, it was time for the inside. So he went inside, without using the door but using magic to phase through it. The inside was not too grand nor extravagant, but it was certainly quite large and also decorated to a certain extent.

He looked around, nothing caught his eyes in particular, so he went to the principal's room. He wasn't there, well. Godo knew already as he had seen him in the garden. But he looked around the room. Books and papers, shelves and tables, couches, nothing too surprising, like a normal room. Though there was something, 9 different kinds of weapons, in glass encasing, hung on the wall.

Curiosity got the best of him and he used 'Inspect' on one of them.
