83 Chapter 83: Applicious

Out appeared a Nature Gem, shining brightly with the radiance of the plains, trees and grass, and the feeling of the fresh air of an unpolluted haven.

"You wanted this Nene? How important is this thing actually?"

"S-sir Godo! Please don't shake it around like that so much."

Seeing at how Nene was reacting to a simple little shake, he concluded that this Nature Gem should be quite important, well at least to a spirit like her.

"So, how important is this?"

Nene then took a long breath, getting ready to explain while also calming herself with the breath.

"You see Sir Godo, to first understand how important and rare a Nature Gem is, you first have to know how it appears. A Nature Gem can only be formed in places where there are earth, water and air mana of great purity. Not only is this usually hard to find, but even after this, the chances of this happening is minuscule.

But of course there are many places around the world where these kinds of places are common, but the catch is that these places always have extremely strong creatures residing in them. So not only is it hard to find, it is also hard to get."

Godo nodded as he continued listening to Nene, and Nene had began to regain her composure, and continued explaining happily and with great detail.

"The next reason is that, a Nature Gem can be consumed by many creatures to enhance themselves, so being lucky enough to find it before the previously mentioned strong creatures get to it first is a challenge itself. Also, another reason is that.

Once a Nature Gem is formed, it begins to slowly dissipate and finishes in a span of just a few hours. If it was formed during the nighttime, of course it would be easier to find. But that also increases the risk. Also the size of the Gem is directly connected with the purity and usability of it.

And one last reason, to forcefully create a Nature Gem, it takes a 10th Grade Mage who is extremely proficient in the previously mentioned elements extreme concentration for over 12 hours to have a chance of creating it. Even if they were able to create it, they run the chances or either dying or losing their magic forever.

But also, the higher a Mage advances, the shorter time it takes, and the smaller amounts chances they will have to take. This finally becomes something unbotherable once a Mage becomes an 18th Grade.

Of course to older and stronger spirits, it isn't as important. But to young and weak spirits like us, who has no relations or ties with anyone or anything in the world, it's extremely useful and rare."

"Hooo."

Godo said as he rubbed his short beard.

"So, would you like me to create some more?"

Without a second of hesitaion, Nene quickly retorted the suggestion. Godo decided not to ask any further as he thought there would be a good reason for her not accepting the offer.

So Godo then gave the Gem which was around the size of a pebble (he made it small because of Nene's size) to her, then he decided to leave her to go look at what his 3 disciples were doing.

Back in the backyard, Rai seemed to be still kinda junky with her core, she was still getting stable with it. Folaei was training her sword art diligently and Shuya was still continuing to learn how to do the 'One-Point Thrust'.

This, made Godo a bit surprised. He was quite sure he did the most basic stance for a thrust, and did the most basic move for that stance. So why did Shuya seemed like he was having troubles. Well, he did the most obvious thing, he asked.

"Shuya, why are you still trying to learn the 'One-Point Thrust'? Sure it may not be perfect, but it's pretty good as it is right now. Wait? Are you perhaps thinking about how the destructive prowess is not comparing to mine?"

Shuya, still performing the 'One-Point Thrust', suddenly halted, and proceeded to talk.

"Wait gramps. Do you mean, i wasn't even capable of reaching your level yet?"

Shuya was exclaiming, he was way too shocked. He could've actually just begin to learn the other moves, like Divine Laceration and other techniques. But now, he realised that he technically just wasted a few whole days, and he didn't even make any progress whatsoever. He was very slumped, and sad.

Rai and Folaei who were also listening felt bad for Shuya. Even in a daily environment, wasting just even one day on anything could have devastating outcomes.

"Don't be sad Shuya."

Godo continued.

"It's alright. Sometimes, people get stuck in a bottleneck without knowing it. And sometimes, they waste their whole lives trying to break through, never realising they were not ready yet.

So it's not that bad wasting a day or two. You should try to look at yourself every now and then to see whether you are stuck in a bottleneck, rather than just practicing one move over and over again.

Knowing the abilities of oneself is also a form of mastery. It can save you from many dangers out there."

Listening to his words about it, Shuya started to think about what could've happened if Godo never pointed it out. Slowly realising that being slumped and sad now would not mean anything, he started to ask Godo to teach him how to perform 'Divine Laceration'.

So while looking after both Folaei and Rai, Godo denied Shuya as he hadn't fulfilled all the required requirements to be able to learn it, so he instead told Shuya,

"Hey Shuya. How about? I finally teach you how to perform the 'Five Step Assault:10 Split Attacks'?"

Hearing this suddenly made Shuya remember the moments when Godo was able to defeat many opponents just using this one move alone, and it didn't even seem complicated. No really, he took 5 steps then went back to where he started, and that was it, or at least that was what Shuya thought.

"Let's first unlock 'that', or else you won't be able to use it."
