Before replying back, Olia Isema had already ran off outside.

Uriel glanced at the foods he cooked and felt so humiliated about how he got so worked up and excited about letting her taste his cooking.

It couldn't be helped, he convinced himself.

And so, he ate breakfast alone with the meals he prepared himself.

He took a warm bath, cleared his mind, and even used the eucalyptus oil that was lying beside the tub to relax himself.

He, too, wanted to feel good at least. Even if things might seem to be going off the rails.

After he dressed up, he went to the cemetery and went past the blind man at the entranceway.

He immediately walked up to the tombstones of his parents and saw a little white puppy that seemed to be sleeping on it.

He carefully caressed its furs and stared at it sadly, "Why are you so relaxed when you're with me? I'm a dangerous person, you know. Why did you love the miserable me then?"

It was quite ironic to see the same kind of breed with the same color of puppy in this place.

It was also tragic when he remember the night when the woman named Loretta went to the kitchen, she caught little Uriel red handed at the attempt to murder the puppy.

It was their pet that used to 'love' him, which Loretta made him believe.

"You could've ran away and barked at me," Uriel whispered. "You could've growled and attacked me then. Why were you just shivering and staying like that? You were even staring at me with emotions I can't understand. Of course, we're different creatures."

As Uriel continued caressing the puppy, he wondered if it was really just asleep.

And much to his horror, he figured that it was truly dead.

He thought that it might've come to haunt him again, but he can't imagine such a thing when it's so peaceful and kind and gentle like this.

With that, Uriel finally shed tears like they were unstoppable waterfalls.

With only things that are cold and dead in front of him, who would he rely on now?

It felt too heavy and pointless – all these things from the pursuit of memories and happiness.

Why does it even matter now?

As he closed his eyes squeezing in the tears he wouldn't hold back, the darkness showed him the same shades and hues of that night.

When Loretta caught him red handed, she immediately bolted towards him and threw the knife away that little Uriel was about to thrust against the innocent puppy.

She began shouting, questioning him of what the hell he's doing and scolding him harshly afterwards.

She made him go to the sofa and lie down on his stomach. As he was receiving some painful spankings from her, he was trying to question a lot of things inside his mind. He didn't even know what he was doing wrong and only felt indignant with the punishment he's receiving.

The way he processed certain notions and truths were quite troublesome and erroneous that made his current self want to revolt. Soon after, Loretta's husband came out of the room who had just woken up from the noise.

He asked what was going on when he saw the scene in front of him and after hearing everything, it only convinced him even further that they absolutely cannot keep him any longer.

The husband got worried about the child's unpredictably dangerous psychology that might even lead things from worse to worst.

If the child had no problem killing off an animal, then there might be no problem for him either killing off another human being in the middle of the night when they're asleep and vulnerable.

Uriel had his consciousness returned when the parade of memories halted flashing off his mind.

"I was really a scumbag, wasn't I?" He whispered, crying and aching.

He was frustrated when he stood back up again and angrily marched away.

The birds flew scared and the wind blew heavily.

"Who's there?" A sudden voice asked.

When Uriel looked over, wiping his tears away, he saw that it was the blind man who asked.
