A New Identity

Her eyes fluttered open as rays of sunlight displayed upon her complexion. A beautiful lady had awoken in a room. Long eyelashes, golden eyes and soft, white skin. Her long silky red hair that were dispersed in the sheets of the bed.

1st Person's POV

I look around the room filled with a beautiful flower wallpaper and fancy decorations. The morning sun was seen from the big window in the corner of the room. The chandelier was firmly displayed in the ceiling. It was an elegant, rich display.

The table on the side of the bed was displaying a large mirror. I stood up and there bestowed me a beautiful lady. I reach my hands to caress the seemingly unrealistic face that I now own, lost within the beauty that this person possessed.

Startled, the door of the room burst open and a maid had a look of surprise.

"L-Lady?! You're awake!" The maid quickly ran towards me and examined me. Her actions indicated pure concern.

"How are you feeling My Lady?", she asked.

I take a moment to look at this maid. She was wearing a white maid uniform and had short black hair.

A loud deafening ring suddenly sent an electrifying surge of pain in my head as I lost all the strength in my body. The maid with her fast reflex, catched me and slowly assisted me to sit on the bed.

A series of memories flooded my mind in a matter of seconds.

"My Lady, please wait a moment, I will call the physician."

The maid rushed out of the door. I laid down on the bed, the headache slowly vanished away and I now held the memories of this 'Lady'.

I am Lady Rafaela Marianne Moonville. Daughter of Calcifix Harun Moonville, a well-respected duke in the land of Delphiemohr.

The last memories of the real Rafaela were her tragic death. In late at night, she fell into the depths of the waters and slowly sank deeper. With despair and desperate plea, no one heard her call.

In the brink of death, she saw a glimpse of a person slowly reaching its hand towards her, but it was too late as she let go of her last breath and her soul slowly departed from her body.

In that moment, my soul had occupied her body completely.
