Homebound

"Its ok Jacob there is nothing to be afraid of I am right here. If you want you can hold my hand?"

I am not sure why I asked him if he wanted to hold my hand but needless to say he just looked at me with those emerald gems he had for eyes and grabbed my hand. You could see the fear and self consciousness bleed out of his eyes in almost an instant. You could also see clear as day that he was relieved that he didn't have to ask me if he could hold my hand. We had been flying for about 30 minutes and for all of those 30 minutes Jacob had been clasping onto my hand which substantially smaller than his hand. Everything was going to plan until we began to experience the same thing where we fell what felt like millions of feet and we fell through the sky just like we had done once before and just like the last time we found ourselves falling out of the sky Jacob screamed like he was 6 and he held onto my hand like he was falling off a cliff and I was his last hope of survival.Just like what had happened before our falling was interrupted by 13 words that will live inside of my head forever.

"Attention passengers we have entered The Bermuda Triangle, and we hit some slig-"

Before I knew it, the time on my watch was going crazy from 1 to 2 to 4 and back to 1 in a matter of seconds and just seconds after the time had gone mad I looked over at Jacob until I felt myself slip into darkness and like that I had blacked out.
