The Fledgling of Creation and Destruction

Tempest's Highly Questionable Ethics

Echo, Venesare, and Tempest spent several hours discussing the issues present in Tempest ideals and scientific method. Tempest machinery space still in need of many things to complete the station such as plants for the gardens and furniture for the rooms felt very barren once the trio moved out of the central work space and entrance hall. Venesare was having trouble connecting Tempest's current appearance and demeanor to the small child she had been taking care of for two years now. Though there was no change in aura or attitude towards Venesare herself, Venesare thought that Tempest's attitude towards others had change. This was not true Tempest had always had this attitude about people this was just the first time anyone broached the subject with her. Venesare however thought that Tempest's attitude to sentient life was not appropriate for someone who looked like a toddler but had the capabilities to rival prodigies in almost anything except cultivation, but those geniuses are all assholes who should choke on their own arrogance. The nobles who purport to be the highest quality stock and most times couldn't even compare to a commoner in their eyes. Venesare didn't want Tempest to encounter such an environment and was against what Echo was about to say, but also knew that this would further the growth of Tempest in the long run.

Echo started telling Tempest what came next. "Tempest even though you are my disciple you will still need to under go education at our magic academy. Before I can officially take you as my disciple. There will be many students in a similar situation in fact almost all, however I can definitely say that I will be the most powerful in both magic and hierarchal power so don't worry about their backing. I would like to request that you don't murder all of the other students though or at all now that I think about it."

"Echo where is the fun in not murdering entire generations of mages."

"In that I won't have to do several tons of paperwork and you won't have to deal with a massive amount of enemies."

Tempest looked disappointed. "Fine..."

"Hey at least you won't have to live in the dorms as you will become my direct disciple after graduation. Instead you will live in my on campus villa, mostly so I can keep track of you. Also on campus everyone is required to wear a magic tracker. If you are caught performing magic when you shouldn't be then you will be punished. That is one of the few rules they are a stickler for."

"I assume these bands are magically locked on to our bodies?"

"Yes they are why?"

"My solution to this is my esper ability because its not quite a spell even though it uses mana. I can dissolve the band and replicate a fake one to wear. That way they won't be able to tell if I use magic discretely to do stuff like theft."

"Why is your first thought of what to do with magic theft, that is worrying."

"I like shiny stuff it turns into large amounts of mana, usually..."

"You are rather innocent when it comes to something aren't you?"

"No I just don't know everything." Tempest quickly denies and moves on. "Lets go get the villa set up as the school has already started and I can't just skip it using time magic. Bye mother I will see you later."

With that Echo opened a portal to the schools admin offices. As Tempest and Echo entered the offices they where greeted by tall skinny pale person. Tempest immediately thought of her as an elf just missing the pointy ears and longevity.

The elf like woman introduced herself. "Hello there I am Leon the Head Mistress of The Academy For Young Witches. How old might you be small one?" Leon asks looking at Echo.

"I'm not here for myself I am here for the fox next to me. Tempest is a mute and uses technology to 'speak'."

Tempest joined the conversation. "Hello Head Mistress, my name is Tempest as you just heard. I'm proficient in all elements. I am only sixteen this year and I just finished setting up a company."

"Wait what, I have watched you since you left the house how did you set up a company in that time?" Echo was beyond baffled at this statement and even more so at what Tempest displayed next.

"Things are a loth quicker when you just hack the system and do it your self. For instance I am already registered in the academies system and have class schedule picked out. It also helps that I am manipulating time."

"Echo why do I feel that the only reason you aren't just taking Tempest directly is that you want to get some revenge and see the world burn."

"No if anyone wants to sit back and watch the world burn it would be Tempest, but she said she wouldn't end the world as she still needs a place to live, isn't that right Tempest."

Tempest doesn't even look up from her screen while nodding at them. Then when what Echo said set in on Leon she was aghast. Echo was more surprised that Tempest was already at this stage and Leon thought that it was a travesty to use time magic especially while interacting with others.

"Ok so Tempest we are going to have to go over the rules with you as you seem like a trouble maker."

Tempest looked aggrieved before responding. "I am a perfectly upstanding citizen. I cause no trouble." Tempest continues to look through the school's database.

"Yes you definitely don't cause any trouble, what are you looking at?" Asks Leon knowing full well that it was the school's database. "Now if you would stop browsing other people private information, I can introduce you to some of the faculty and get your mana trackers."

"Do I really have to get mana trackers?"

"Yes now quit stalling and lets go meet some of the professors before getting some trackers."

Tempest and Leon moved out of the office after saying goodbye to Echo who tossed the villa key to Tempest. Leon took this time to observe Tempest and her demeanor, meanwhile Tempest was still looking through the school's database and playing the stock market. Leon noticed that Tempest seemed oddly focused on air as if she was reading something. Leon also noticed that Tempest had this aura about her that made it seem that she was untouchable beauty yet incredibly insane while feeling aloof. As the head mistress Leon had seen many students and learned to notice the details in them from just their aura, yet Tempest's aura seemed boundless as if she was staring into the abyss. It also seemed like the madness in Tempest's aura was getting noticeably stronger as time passed. Tempest who was occupied with records finally finished reading and looked up at Leon, before poking her.

"You have been staring at me for quite a while you might want to blink."

"Tempest you really need to learn to respect your elders. Any ways here is the villa you can stay here for now while I go and get some people and the mana trackers."

"Ok."

With that Tempest entered the villa alone and explored around. It was typical house with bedrooms, bathrooms, and living rooms. What stood out about the villa though is that it was inside a shipping container, but had a whooping amount of space inside it. The interior while it had standard room arrangements was also kind of strange as the space warped. For instance the kitchen was on the ceiling of the dining room and plates could be passed between the two with out to much issue. There were other rooms in similar situations such as the foyer and the indoor pool as the pool was one the bottom it was really disorienting to enter the villa. Tempest decided to pull Cloud out and have a nap atop her new home while she waited for Leon to come back.
