Chapter 12 - Nayar

"I'm sorry grandpa."

"Why were you in Yarnit forest? Myla saw you without a vile or a mask.

Yuka was really confused. i really don't get it. Ever since l was born, I have always wear a face mask. No one knows who I am or what I look like not even grandpa. Well, it's not like I wear that kind of mask. I mean the face I have right now isn't mine. It's not like I'm ugly, but why do I have to wear a face mask. And the most worst part is that only Grandpa knows.

"Just forget about it." Lord Nike sighed. "I have something important to say to you and I want you to listen carefully. Have you heard of the four wonders."

"The four wonders? What's that?"

"Centuries ago, the four wonders is the most powerful artifact on earth. The artifact contains the power of water, fire, light, and thunder. It was used to protect the people and land from harm and replenish the land. Every 200 years, a new Nayar is chosen from the family of Kumua.

"How do they get chosen?"

"A child with a star mark on her shoulder is the Nayar, but then the four wonders were known as the Elements of Wonders. One day, Lord of Yarkara became obsessed with it's power. He decided to possess the power in order to rule both land and the humans. The Nayar in charge had no choice but to break the artifact into five pieces and gave them to her servants who was trustworthy, he then ran away. When Lord of Yarkara can't he couldn't find them nor the artifact. As time goes on, people forget about the Elements of Wonders, but the royal family never did. Twenty three years ago, someone had a vision about it. Four guardians from the family of the servants will raise and together, they'll bring peace."

"The four guardians? What about Nayar? The artifact was divided into five pieces, so why is it called the four wonders instead of the five wonders? And what happened to the guardians? Do you know where they are?"

"Centuries ago, when it happened, the servants also flee but no one knows whether they are in our land or with the humans but rumor had it that they flee to Ruma."

Yuka had a confused expression. "So why am I here?"

"You're destined to assist Nayar and gather the four wonders."

Yuka was stunned. "Assist Nayar? As Nayar the guardian? And do what? Gather the wonders? You've got to be kidding me."
