The Five Point Pub and Library

Prologue:

across the planet, energy nexuses exist; places where the raw untapped energy of creation still dwells and where magicks (along with other things) more powerful than anything else accessed on the planet can occur. Combined, the ambient energy from these nexuses was the magick different cultures have learned to tap into through the Millennia.

Few however, actually know of their true locations. this is because every once in a while one of these points can be swayed one way or the other. That's right, the nexuses aren't inherently neutral. Well that's not true, it's not that they aren't neutral it's that thousands of years ago the "forces that be" a.k.a. The Seraphim and the Lords of Hell , found a way to sway these energies to strengthen their sides in the never ending war that thankfully, stays off this plane of existence. Well mostly, every once in a while the skirmish makes it to this one but you can read about that in the library later.

I'm going on a tangent though, the point is that few of these points are really neutral. Actually, it's only two of them. See, in order to sway one of these points a sacrifice has to be made. At the heart of each nexus is a place known as the tether; this is a space where the conduit must stay in order to hold sway over the nexus. that conduit being an aligned soul. Until the next time the point can be swayed the soul is stuck in a sort of limbo space unable to leave the area but also not aging. Imagine it as stasis but you can still interact with anything around you.

that's where I come in. One of these points is called "The Tower" and it's ran by a group know it all's known as The Watchers. Who literally do just that, watch. They observe and learn and hold a vast history of knowledge in every subject from history to the uses of obscure magicks. They also hold in containment some of the worlds worst supernatural criminals just under their towers.

The other neutral spot? Well that's mine. About 900 years ago, The Watchers and I had a little disagreement which ended in me leaving and creating my own little slice of neutral heaven.

See, I learned a well hidden secret from their copious libraries and brought to the tribunal's attention a request to change the world as we knew it. They promptly denied because as the name indicates, they don't really act on anything just watch. I however refused to take no for an answer and snuck off just in time to pull off the greatest heist in a century. What is it you ask? Well, I stole a nexus point right out from under the noses of "the forces that be". While they were fighting. I used a beautifully crafted shadow enshrouding spell and snuck right pass them, offering myself to the nexus as it's neutral sacrifice.

Needless to say, everyone and everything was pissed. The hoards of hell, The Army of Heaven, even The Watchers and the damn Supernaturals were mad. That was until they learned what I was going to do. Once a few dignitaries from each faction had gathered I laid out my plan. I was bound to this point for the next 350 years and I didn't plan on moving. I did however plan on using my knowledge and mastery of a variety of cabal practices to create a crossroad that any faction could access, a Way station so to speak. In this place any harm to another being would be impossible, as well as any form of magick I did not invite. This created a truly neutral point for the different parties to come to In order to create treaties or hash out ideas or disputes between them.

It was also a place where they could meet without fear of persecution from hunters or other factions (this was especially important for the supernaturals among them) and just like that, The Five Point Pub and Library was born.

So what did I do with all this power I took for myself when becoming the conduit? Well I tend the bar of course. I tend the bar and I drink and I listen. To everyone, to anyone. If you come in with a story to tell; whether it's to get something off your chest, drunkenly boast or even just to pay for your meal and a few drinks. You tell me your story and I'll add it to my library.
