0010 - My First Visitors

[A/N: So, things will change, I will be writing two chapters weekly along with my other novel, but will, in turn, make the Chapters longer, this will start next week]

I must say, I never expected the first person to come into my Dungeon to be a teenager and for him to appear directly within the Giant Ant territory where the portal was frozen in place, no longer moving now that someone was on the dungeon floor.

The young man was quickly ripped apart by some Worker Ants who were foraging food for the Colony.

[ A Human Male has perished within the Dungeon! ]

[ +8 Exp ]

[ 8/100 Exp ]

[A/N: His EXP is equivalent to his strength since he is just a young man of 15 years of age, he is not worth the average of 10 exp an ordinary man would give]

And as I suspected, I did not feel a shred of any emotion other than pity since the body foolishly entered my Dungeon.

Once the boy was dead, the portal unfroze and began shifting to random positions again, leaving the Ants to essentially collect a free meal and bring it back to their hive.

Then within the next hour, I was alerted of a group of five entering the Dungeon, this time in the Slime Faction Territory.

Focusing my gaze onto the group of Delvers, you could say that I was surprised to find an entire group of people seemingly wearing Riot Gear mixed with Sports gear with backpacks and wielding rifles.

I thought of banning Modern Firearms from the Dungeon using [ Dungeon Rule ], which was a Skill in which I could place a literal rule that had to be followed in the Dungeon.

If the rule were to be broken, the breakers would receive a penalty.

The only problem is it takes exp and system points to create a rule, so due to my lacking EXP, I cannot make such a rule for the time being.

Dungeon Rules could do quite a few things, and I even had plans to create several Dungeon Rules once I have enough Exp.

Seeing the men begin to look around, I calmly watched as they seemed to search for something.

Perhaps they are looking for the young man?

Either way, they will die all the same.

Hmmm, I wonder, if they die will they rise as zombies?

[Reviewing Inquiry]

[Accepted]

[Answer: The Host of the Walking Dead Virus will not resurrect into a zombie upon death while in the Dungeon due to the Host of the WDV having their essence harvested]

That's good to know, although I wouldn't mind if I had to kill them twice if I could get more exp.

Anyway, I might as well observe them. Perhaps they might reveal some information that might be somewhat useful to me.

[Back to the Rescue Party]

Finding no tracks of the boy, the Party decided to begin searching the surroundings to see if they could find any clue of the missing boy's whereabouts.

Still finding nothing, they expanded their search, making sure not to leave a trail back to the portal if they got lost within the forest.

Soon enough, however, they encountered their first Slime Monster.

Sliding across the ground in front of them was a simple Tier-One Slime, by far the weakest of all the slimes besides that of Pseudo-Slimes.

"The hell is that?!" Asked one of the team members.

"I don't know! Shit, there's more of them! Shoot them!" Shouted another upon realizing the loud sounds were drawing more.

Metallic Slimes, Dirt Slimes, slimes of many varieties came from all angles of the forests and 'charged' or, in this case, slid across the ground towards the rescue team.

Firing their semi-automatic rifles at the slimes, the Slimes began to die in droves due to their firepower and piercing power that could instantly rip through a slime's core, their vital weakness.

By the time they killed around 30 Slimes, I had forced the remaining slimes via my connection with them to back off and stick to ambush tactics.

And since most of them are not that intelligent, I have to constantly micro-manage them to ensure they don't commit suicide by foolishly attacking them.

Seeing the dead slimes dissolve into a puddle of slime upon losing their core, I couldn't help but want and need for more exp.

However, the slime was not all that was left of the dead slimes.

Several did seem to have 'bags' materialize over their slime puddle remains.

"The hell were those things?" Asked one of them.

"How the hell should I know?" Another replied.

"Doesn't matter, it seems they are dead, are those...bags?" So asked one of them before approaching a closed bag and grabbing it.

Upon opening it, he was surprised to find a single item within the bag, Epinephrine.

This single syringe of Epinephrine and the potential for more to gain the interests of the Rescue Team.

Why? Because if more of these slimes dropped valuable medicine, that would give the Survivors more incentive to continue entering since Epinephrine could now be considered a finite resource in their apocalyptic reward.

Upon searching the other bags, they were surprised to find seeds, sugar, salt, and even a tiny bag of rice.

"This place must be the gift of God!" So spoke the religious team member.

Not even refuting the man's claim, the others stored the supplies in their bags and continued the search, not realizing they were heading straight towards the Obelisk at the center of the Slime's territory.

Keeping my Slimes on short was quite the mentally draining task, but I continued to force the slimes to stay away until the rest of the slimes got back.

I learned that I would not be able to resurrect any of my monsters until the Delvers leave my Dungeon, which can be quite the hassle.

Luckily once they leave, I have the option to close the Dungeon for a while temporarily.

In the meantime, I wonder what happens if they interact with the Obelisk?

[Reveiwing Inquiry]

[Declined]

[Reason: The System feels that the Host would prefer the surprise]

Oh? Then let's watch and see.

Upon seeing their trajectory deviate away from the Obelisk, I ordered some Slimes to lure them from the direction of the Obelisk, which seemed to work wonderfully as they gave chase to get their drop loot from killing them.

Of course, it seemed that they slowly forgot their original objective. Only the Delver Team Leader seemed to remind them of their task but decided to send two of the five to hunt down the Slimes before rejoining them in the search for the boy.

Focusing on the two men sent towards the Obelisk, I couldn't help but frown, seeing them split up.

I wanted all of them to head for the Obelisk, too bad.

Well not like it should change anything. Let's see what happens...

"Carl, did you see where they went?" So asked one of the two men.

"I did not, you?" Carl asked.

"Of course not! Why would I be asking you if I had?!" The other man retorts.

"Shut up, what's that!" Carl interrupted upon seeing a strange stone pillar.

Stepping forward, they looked over the pillar.

"What the hell is this?" Carl asked before touching the pillar, tracing his hands over the carvings.

Suddenly before his eyes, screens filled with words flash into existence.
