40 Bug of the Void

A bright light shook the desolate battlefield from the direction of the psionic fog causing the Aeldari and Og'driada's Necron to both pause and process the changes. The light was a bright silver with gold occasionally shining through. To the Necrons, they first guessed this might be a collapsing star turning supernova. But to the Aeldari, it was so much more than that.

Unlike the dead hunks of metal that the Necrons were, the Aeldari had souls and thus felt the full force of information, contained in those rays of light. Arlow's natural 'truth' ability was on full display and unhindered now that living souls could receive psychic information. The Aeldari who looked upon the light, instantly knew who Arlow was. They saw flashes of his life in his neverending dream of betrayal. They knew that the light was a person, and that person was the most beautiful being they had ever laid eyes on.

The Aeldari were incredibly sensitive psychics and many of them broke down into tears of delight and joy from having experienced being near him. This was not a physical delight, like the delights of the flesh. This was a delight that existed in the intellect, that felt like a soft burning fire in their minds, inspiring them to be better, to be more, to never stop persisting until good wins.

"Beautiful" The Aeldari sear whispered, as two silent tears fell from her face.

...

Og'driada's Necron's side did not have a very good reaction.

"The light's origin traced from advanced legion's command vessel." One of the Crypteks reported to Og'driada.

"This light of his disgusts me." Og'driada wriggled around uncomfortably as the light passed by him.

Og'driada too received the information about who Arlow was from the light, the only difference was how uncomfortable it was for him. Seeing Arlow caused Og'driada to think about himself and how much less he was, how animalistic, in comparison.

"Target the advance legion and begin time predictions against the Lord of Incensia," Og'driada commanded with his monstrous voice.

Their legion was tens of thousands large which dwarfed the advanced legion by more than 10 times. Even if they were to help the Aeldari, Og'driada doubted that a 'god' like the Lord of Incensia would be able to turn the tide. But this line of thinking was only if Arlow was an Aeldari artificial god as he had assumed. His thoughts changed a few seconds later when his forces notified him of a single humanoid unit 'walking on fog' in the vacuum of space.

...

Arlow walked slowly with a serious gaze in the vacuum of space. He stepped on platforms formed from the Incensia manipulated by him, making it look like he was effortlessly going for a stroll. He had briefly amplified his soul to control the battlefield and prevent any more loss of Aeldari life. A direct transmission of information about who he was, was perfect in times like these.

The Embers he made had hidden themselves away at his command, and his Necron forces 'attacked' the Aeldari Warworld to draw out Og'driada's legion. With the manipulation of time and his Crypteks, he acted as if all things were going according to their design until the moment appeared to spring his plans.

Naturally, this was very easy for him now. He could win this battle with his eyes closed and even keep himself hidden. However, he is due justice and now would be a good time to start reclaiming what was taken from him. One of which was his good name; his reputation. The public barely knew of him now, and everyone had forgotten his name, he knew this. Now, he would re-demonstrate who he was.

"Og'driada. Your kind has been busy." Arlow spoke.

His voice, amplified by manipulating the Incensia around him, vibrated the molecules directly near the ears of all creatures on the battlefield.

"Today is the day you repay what was taken," Arlow spoke.

"Your kind owes a lot. You owe my universe. You owe me." Arlow's eyes began to arc with lightning as he channeled the changing state of the fog into energy.

"Justice will claim you today." Arlow smiled slightly but with seriousness in his eyes.

*Crackling*

The fog that once covered the ship behind him, was pulled towards him and entered his body. It was continuously consumed like a fuel source as Arlow's body glowed like molten silver.

....

*Wrrrr* *Wrrrr* *Wrrrr*

Alarms blared in both the Aeldari ships and Og'driada's Necrons ships.

"Space fluctuations are abnormally high. Universal constants are fluctuating. Temporary conclusion; we are now in a different dimension." The Cryptek next to Og'driada reported.

"The Krork fleet was detected to have been brought into this dimension ahead of time." The Cryptek added.

Og'driada looked at the new space on the sensors seriously. This wasn't good, they barely even registered the shift since he made his move. And being trapped in a dimension with even a slightly shifted universal constant would take significant time to recalculate jumping back into real space. They were now trapped, until further notice and without retreat.

"*Gurgle* *Growl*" Og'driada growled out a sound of hatred.

"Slaughter them, I will not need their life force. I will kill this 'god' personally." Og'driada commanded.

...

Og'driada was wrong when he thought Arlow had merely pulled the tens of thousands of forces into a mere random dimension. He had created a dimension of enormous size as 'home dimension', for the Incensia to reside, similar to the immaterial energies residing in the Warp. Embers reappeared around Arlow and eagerly looked up at him like children ready to begin a task.

"Go, choose among those here," Arlow said, smiling.

And with that, the little Embers dissolved back into impossibly tiny molecules and split up into different directions. Each Ember was curiously searching for their chosen partner to follow. They would only choose a single individual in their lifetime, and they instinctively know who they will eventually choose. They would then act as a bridge, allowing ordinary psykers to access the energy of the Incensia without them completely burning up upon contact.

It's just that Arlow was not looking forward to two of whom these Embers would choose within the Krork forces.
