Arrival in a New World

"... Ughh..."

In a dark, damp cell a person awakes from slumber. This cell was a 7 ft. (213 cm) by 9 ft. (274 cm) by 7 ft. (213 cm) box that was cold, filthy, and barren. Its walls were cold steel with weird sigils inscribed into them. As soon as this person regained consciousness, he was assailed by a pounding headache and grabbed his head in a vain attempt to sooth the pain. Meanwhile, his cell suddenly started shuddering and he could hear the moans and groans of many others.

"Ja… Jar…" He groans in a barely audible whisper.

"Jarvis."

[ "You have finally awakened sir. That is good. Now we can begin."]

And like that Mesa Uchiha lost consciousness again and awoke in a completely blank void sitting at a table. Appearing before him was the One Above All.

"Hello Ray." Said the One Above All. "You are probably wondering what happened to you?"

"Yes, where am I and what happened to Jasmine, Ophis, Cang Yue and the rest. Why did I suddenly wake up so weak? Did Xuanyuan Wentian somehow manage to defeat me and imprison me?" Said Mesa rattling on and on with his questions that were silenced when the One Above All raised its hand.

"I do commend you for thinking about your loved ones Ray. But worry not, they are doing fine." Said the One Above All placating his worries.

"But let me bring you up to speed."

And with the flick of the One Above All's finger, Mesa suddenly knew everything that happened and where he was. Currently, he was in the universe of Warhammer 40.000 in the year 740.M41 and he was in the body of a recently deceased psyker that was imprisoned within the bowels of a Black Ship that was travelling through the Warp on its way to Holy Terra. He was made aware that he was currently in this universe for the final Infinity Trial, which he must undergo alone, while his normal body is back in his own universe in a state of suspended animation.

"Now then, let us proceed to the details of this final Trial." Said the One Above All and a crystal that looked like a natural quartz the size of a ping pong ball appeared in Mesa's hands.

"That crystal is sensitive to Profound Energy and once you infuse it with Profound Energy it will react and tell you the location of another crystal that is located somewhere in the galaxy. It is up to you to find all 100 of them. And once you have done so, the location of the last Infinity Stone will be revealed to you."

"And as an aside. Firstly, these crystals are inert to all probing, be they psychic or technological or in any other way and are indestructible and incorruptible by any means even if they were in the Warp itself. So anyone but you who finds these crystals will have no use for them. Secondly, it matters not how long you take over this trial, in your own universe you will awaken 1 month later. And lastly, if you want to change some parameters of this Trial, you can but beware that penalties will be applied than."

And with that, Mesa could start this trial. At first he thought that it was impossible to make anything incorruptible to the Warp, but then immediately dismissed that thought because there is LITERALLY nothing that the One Above All is incapable of. But then he started to think about what he could change about this Trial in his favor and afterwards see what the penalties are.

"Alright, I have made up my mind and I would like to change some parameters. First, I do not want any psychic powers nor have any connection to the Warp and I want this to manifest as if I am just some common human." Said Mesa with the One Above All nodding in acknowledgement.

"Secondly, I do not want any seer, be they of the material universe nor of the immaterial universe to be able to see where I could be in the future nor where I was in the past or even in the present. The only thing I want them to see with their Warp sight is a shadow and that is only when they are looking directly at me."

When he said that, a smile crept on Mesa's face as he thought to himself: 'Go fuck yourself Tzeentch, with this you will never be able to ensnare me in any one of your convoluted schemes.'

"Thirdly, I don't want any one of those crystals to end up inside the Warp. In fact, I do not want those crystals to even be capable of entering the Warp and if someone or something tries than they will disappear and end up somewhere else."

"And lastly, I want the power to bring True Death to the daemons of the Warp just like the Emperor has."

"Very well Ray, I will implement those parameters." Said the One Above All and a moment later he indicated that it has been implemented.

"As for the penalties, now your Trial entails you having to find 100.000 crystals that are scattered throughout the Milky Way galaxy and are scattered throughout time between 790.M30 and 100.M42. The crystal will now locate another crystal throughout time and space at random and not hone in on the closest one. Do you agree with those penalties?"

Hearing this Mesa was cringing internally from the massive labor that he now had. But since he had all of the Infinity Stones save for the Soul Stone, travelling back and forth across time and space is possible for him. And with 5 Infinity Stones, he was basically a god in the Warhammer 40K universe, but only of the material universe and not the immaterial. So taking a deep breath and steeling himself for the trial ahead, he gave his answer.

"I agree."

And with that, he was cast out of the blank void and found himself back inside the cell where he awoke. He was still as weak as he was before, but now that headache was gone and that feeling of despair that he felt earlier was still present but he ignored it. Considering he had the Mind Stone, he was still a psychic but not one that uses the Warp. With a force of will, the Infinity Gauntlet appeared on his right hand and with a simple use of the Reality Stone he changed his currently starving and exhausted body back to the body he has in his own home universe. After being to full strength, he stands up and stretches out his newly recreated body.

"Alright guys, you can come out now." Said Mesa as the Boosted Gear appeared on his left hand and the Wings of Light on his back.

"You guys are aware of our current situation and where we find ourselves?" Asked Mesa.

"Yes, we know." Said Ddraig and Albion simultaneously.

"This is gonna suck so much!" Said Albion exasperated at their current situation.

"Hard agree." Said Mesa and Ddraig simultaneously.

"It is a good thing Jasmine and Ophis had been teaching you about this universe." Said Ddraig.

"Great, look where we find ourselves now." Said Mesa with sarcasm just dripping from his voice. "But anyway, it's time for us to get out of this damned ship and out of the Warp."

Walking up to the door, he places his hand against it to feel it. Sending a small tremor through it, he felt that the door was 3 inches (7.62 cm) of solid plassteel. Pulling back his fist and punched the door out of its lock and into the wall next to it with a mighty bang. As was expected, this had roused the other captive psykers and they started screaming and wailing and moaning, so Mesa silenced them by unleashing a wave of Conqueror's Haki that knocked them all out. Pretty soon, he heard footsteps reverberating across the plasteel and adamantium halls and guards appeared at one end of the hall. There were 6 guards armed with a variety of weapons from lasguns, to flamers and shotguns to shock mauls and swords. And since he was on a Black Ship, it was safe to assume that these weapons were anti-psyker weapons, not that that was any problem for him.

These guards leveled their weapons at him and prepared to open fire, not even deigning to command him to surrender, just immediately opening fire on him. One of the guards communicated to someone else, most likely the bridge, that a prisoner had escaped and the alarms went off. As they were about to open fire, their weapons suddenly turned to sand that fell to the floor. Looking on with total astonishment at what just happened, they were not able to process it before they were suddenly seized by some force that pressed them against either the walls, the floor or the ceiling. And as a finishing touch, the walls, floors and ceiling wrapped itself around them, keeping them in place, without crushing them.

Walking casually up to them, Mesa nicely asked if they knew the location of the bridge. All he got in response were shouts and curses and threats, so he gave up on them and continued on his way in search of the bridge. Along the way, crewmembers and guards and even the Sisters of Silence attacked him. But in all cases, he turned their weapons to sand and had the walls wrap around them to keep them in place. After subduing a trio of Sisters of Silence in the same way, he prepared to continue on to the bridge until he had a sudden idea. Walking back to one of the subdued Sisters of Silence, he asked her a question.

"Where is the bridge?" Asked Mesa but the Sister of Silence just stared at him with pure hatred and kept silent.

"Right, Sisters of Silence don't talk, how stupid of me." Mesa said admonishing himself. "Guess I'll have to dig it out myself."

So placing a finger on her forehead, Mesa used the Mind Stone to start digging around in her mind and find out the location of the bridge. As for the Sister of Silence, her look of utter hatred suddenly turned to a look of horror as Mesa was doing the impossible. He was reading her mind. The other Sisters of Silence that saw this were looking on with astonishment and it was clear to them that this person was not some rogue psyker. This person was something else entirely.

When he took his finger of her forehead a second later, Mesa kindly thanked her for the information and continued on his way towards the bridge and subduing everyone that came out to stop him. The only exception were the servitors, the half man half machine lobotomized slaves that the Imperium uses for nearly everything that utterly disgusted him when he saw them, those he killed and burned them to ash as a means of putting those poor unfortunate souls out of their misery.

Once he had reached the bridge, he came to sealed door and heard those inside preparing themselves to shoot him once he breached the doors. Instead, he did the same as what he did with everyone else. He turned all their weapons to sand and then stuck them all to ceiling before he phased through the door and finally entered the bridge.

Walking inside, the bridge looked like he had expected. It was two-tiered half-circular bridge filled with machinery that controlled the ship and its weapons with the command throne where the captain would sit in the middle of the upper tier.

Walking up to the cogitator banks, Mesa looked down at them in an attempt to take control of the Black Ship. But pretty soon he gave up. Meanwhile, the bridge crew were all shouting curses at him that he ignored. One of them though was different.

"I AM LORD INQUISITOR SELUVIS METACRON OF THE ORDO MALLEUS! IN THE NAME OF THE GOD EMPEROR'S MOST HOLY INQUISITION, I DEMAND YOU SURRENDER IMMEDIATELY!"

Looking up at the source of the voice, Mesa saw that one of them was dressed in a suit of black power armor sized for a regular human that was intricately decorated with the symbol of the Inquisition on its pauldron. As for Lord Inquisitor Seluvis Metacron himself, he a broad lined face with a square jaw and short cropped black hair and an aquiline nose. One of his eyes was an augmetic one and it whirred and clicked as it focused on him. Mesa stared at him for a long moment with a blank expression before turning and focusing once more on the cogitator banks and ignoring all the screaming and cursing.

Holding out his hands, he startled everyone on the bridge when suddenly a big gear like construct with six big teeth appeared in his hands. Moments later, three lights on the face of this construct turned on and it started to float by itself.

"Hello Invariant Bias. It is good to see you once again." Said Mesa to the floating construct.

"Greetings Reclaimer. What is your inquiry?" Asked Invariant Bias.
