ZARYN'S POV

When I finally came around I was expecting to find myself, Arsen, and Ayan still in the main house hallway but instead, I was outside, guards on either side of me holding me up. We were standing in the estate driveway and my hands were tied up. I could barely see with my eyes since there I saw General Muron, his daughter had also been apprehended and they were made to kneel in the driveway. Looking around I saw Arsen and Ayan nowhere in sight but the carriage I'd used to bring her in was gone.

Had Arsen and Ayan used it to go back to the palace?

I gritted my teeth as the realization dawned of how my plan had failed. And it had failed so miserably. When I caught sight of Arsen in the hallway I was so shocked that he had found me so quickly. It had only been a few hours since I had taken her.
