AYAN'S POV

"Don't worry I will protect you." The emperor reassured me as I stood before the desk in his office. After having just accepted the offer to be the Crown Prince's new Governess I thought my problems were finally over only to find out I still had to deal with the General.

I really didn't want to talk to him after he'd almost had me killed however if I wanted to move on in with my new path in life I had to put my past behind me. However, I feared the General wouldn't listen to me.

"I mean I'm worried about what the General might say not only to me but to you as well. He can be quite unhinged at times."

"I'm not sure if I should be offended that you're worried for me or happy I mean there's not much the General can do is there regardless of how angry he is? I'm not exactly an ordinary man, am I?" He asked me as he cocked his eyebrows at me.
