137 Can you listen to me!?

LAIKA'S POV

Holding Ayan's arm we slowly made our way to the dungeons since I had been given permission to speak with the General. My heart was racing. I was worried about what the General would say to me. Knowing him and how he never really listened to what people, no, what women had to say. I wasn't prepared for a confrontation with him.

Ayan placed an arm around my shoulder squeezing me. "Don't worry it'll be alright," She said trying to comfort me. "I'll be nearby if anything happens."

I gave her a small smile grateful for the support.

We walked down the underground stone steps reaching the gate to the dungeon cells and the knights on guard opened it for us to enter. The palace dungeons were located underneath the Imperial knight's wing. One of the knights accompanied us leading us to the General's cell.
