Alex also checked in the shop which [Population Summons] were available.
[Population summons] are summons that does all sorts of jobs in the territory other than fighting.
These Summons also only level up by practicing their profession (if they have one).
One can have an unlimited number of these summonses but one must also provide food, water, and accommodation for these summonses or lose loyalty quickly. (You must also provide food, water, and accommodation for most fight units.)
But in order to create really useful [Population Summons] you have to give a [Population Summons] a [Profession Scroll] so that it can improve in a certain area.
Looked at a few in the shop and he found many interesting Profession but unfortunately, these were way too expensive.

Unfortunately, his 100 items didn't include 1 [Population summon] and only 1 Profession Scroll which he can't afford.

In Alex's opinion, these summonses were simply too expensive or bad.
However, Alex was very interested in the 3 random [population summons] options.
For 1,000 gold you get a random [population summon] between the F- and the C+ rating. (for this gold you can buy a D population summon in the shop)
For 10,000 gold you get a random [population summon] between the F- and the B+ rating. (for this gold you can buy a C population summon in the shop)
For 100,000 gold you get a random [population summon] between the F- and the A+ rating. (for this gold you can buy a B population summon in the shop)
Especially after he saw that the chances for each rating are the same.
For the 1000 gold option, there are only 12 different ratings so the chance of getting a C-/C/C+ summons is 25%.
A C population summons costs an average of 10,000 gold.
That's simple math. as long as he buys 10 of these random summonses he will get an average of 2.5 C-/C/C+. (of F, E, D series also)
While you can't determine which [Character traits] or [Profession](if any) you get, Alex still thinks it's extremely profitable.
The price-performance ratio is very important, especially for Alex who doesn't want to spend a lot of money on it.
He wants to use most of his money in the Fiction discount shop.
Unfortunately, the [Population Summons] seems extremely rare or non-existent in this shop so he has to look elsewhere.
Even if he tries to buy everything from outside the Shop he will need some professions. such as Skinner.
Without this, the materials of killed creatures cannot be removed and sold.
one or more skinners would bring Alex a lot of gold and the more gold he has, the better his starting skill is.
Alex suddenly heard someone open the door and saw Gandalf come into his room.
He had previously arranged with Gandalf to meet up here again in 15 minutes so he wasn't surprised that Gandalf was back. Alex took a quick look at Gandalf's status. (I only show the new info)

Alex saw how much experience was getting and immediately realized an interesting thing.
He got 16 exp and Gandalf got 64 exp meaning that out of the total 80 exp, Alex got 20%.
Although the exp distribution can also be explained in other ways, this explanation feels the cleanest. 20% or 1/5 sounds more logical to Alex than an odd number would.
Gandalf looked at Alex who gave a thoughtful look. he said with a smile, "I hope I'm not interrupting anything?"
Alex shakes his head and replies, "No, nothing important. Rather let's talk about what you've encountered up north."
Gandalf started telling what happened. He didn't find anything special except for these Large Acid toads that he quickly defeated.
Large Acid Toads were just under a meter tall and relatively weak in Gandalf's opinion.
The only dangerous thing is that they emit a cloud of acid from their bodies when they die. But as long as you run away from the corpse fast enough or attack from afar, you don't have to worry about it.
Gandalf couldn't be hurt by this cloud of acid even if he was standing in it thanks to his [Basic Invulnerability] skill.
Alex hears this, "Isn't it dangerous to test this directly with your body?"
Gandalf said, "Don't worry I only tried it with one finger. Also, these creatures were way too weak to have such a strong skill that reaches through my skill. They die after one of my sword swings."
Alex showed a curious expression, "How strong do you think these creatures are compared to me?"
Gandalf showed a thoughtful expression, "Maybe, as strong as you with a Sword. Hard to say. But against three at a time you would surely die."
Alex shows a smile, "Sounds like E-. That was my [Combat Strength Rating with the Cutlass. If that's the case, these creatures really are weak."
Gandalf who heard that gave Alex a humorous look.
