Alex immediately saw the opportunity to make gold quickly when he looked at this item.

He can just sell those 10 cutlasses on the [Auction house] and make a big profit.

Although Alex prefers to be careful. he looked at the prices for comparable weapons in the [Auction house].

He just sorted the [Auction house] by [Weapon] with an F+ rating.

Alex only saw less than 1000 weapons and only around 5% sell their weapons for less than 1 gold below the shop price.

And if he saw such a weapon, it was bought within seconds.

Alex first bought a Cutlass for 11 gold and put it on sale for 108 gold.

Although all Humans start with only 100 gold, Alex didn't believe that within billions of humans there weren't many people with a lot of gold.

Especially with so many good starting skills that have been distributed.

Alex only had to wait 5 seconds before his Cutlass was sold.

After Alex got the confirmation from the test he bought all the other 9 Cutlass.

He keeps one for himself and he sells the other 8 Cutlass.

one can only sell 10 items in [Auction house] per day and Alex wants to save the last place if he finds something more valuable. He never knows if he won't have enough money for something later.

Alex opened his status.

Alex looking at his status immediately noticed that his [Combat Strength Rating] had improved from [F+] to [E-].

Alex could easily see the reason in one look.

He now had a weapon. Of course, his [Combat Strength Rating] increases.

Alex feels the F-/F/F+ rating is a joke in itself. Especially when he remembers the attributes of the Small Dog summon.

He had no idea how to use a sword and he already had a Combat Strength Rating of E-. Though he felt like he just barely reached E- when he looked at his attributes.

Alex stopped thinking about his lack of strength and started thinking about what to buy with his gold.

However, after looking at all 100 items, he could only find 3 items that were not useless or too expensive and 1 item was used to make money. (almost used)

Alex didn't have enough money to buy Gandalf and Building(+1Scyther).

He decided to buy Gandalf first. When he pressed the buy button, the "campfire" started to flare up. Alex didn't feel any heat though, so he wasn't afraid of burning himself.

From the flames slowly comes an old man with a pointed blue hat, a long gray cloak, and a silver scarf. He had a long white beard and bushy eyebrows that stuck out beyond the brim of the hat.

Alex flashed a smile as he said, "Gandalf, nice to meet you."

Gandalf looked at Alex and smiled too, "Delighted to make your acquaintance, Lord."

Alex was relieved that Gandalf was being so polite. Even though he knew that all Summons come with a loyalty of 60/100, it's not set in stone that it stays that way.

He didn't want to test how fast a Summons can lose loyalty just because he treats it like an NPC.

Alex knew it wasn't a game and that Gandalf is as alive as he is. He could even see Wisdom in Gandalf's eyes.

"Gandalf, you can call me Alex. You don't need to be unnecessarily polite."

Gandalf wore a slightly surprised expression and hesitated for a moment.

Alex saw that and said, "I was going to take you as my advisor anyway and it would be bad if my advisor only told me things I wanted to hear and not the truth."

After saying that, Alex stretched his hand toward Gandalf.

Gandalf looked at Alex's eyes and saw Alex's sincerity in it.

He shook Alex's hand and started saying with a smile, "Alex, you're a wise man and I'd love to be your advisor, although I'm not sure I'll be that useful."

Alex said in a funny tone, "Ohh you just got the job and already you're starting to praise me. You could even say with a straight face that I'm wise. Gandalf you really are a good liar."

Gandalf chuckled lightly as he replies, "Ohh you got me. but you're really a wise man, Alex. I swear this time I mean it."

Alex started laughing lightly, too, and he resisted his instincts to continue fooling around with Gandalf.

"Although I'd like to talk to you further now, we can always do that later."

He picked up his Cutlass and said, "Take this. You're stronger than me and know how to use a sword, unlike me."

Gandalf looked at Alex with a solemn look as he said, "I shall put it to good use."

Alex showed a small smile, "Thank you Gandalf. Though I'm afraid I can't offer you currently more help. I still need 118 gold to summon a competent partner for you. if you even need it..."

Gandalf looked at Alex and as if reading Alex's status, he said, "Yes, also... although it may be painful to hear, Lord, you can really not help me in this condition. It would be easy if I entered the forest alone.

Alex showed a self-joking expression together with a smile, as he said, "Well, I thought you'd say something like that. Who wants to take someone who's barely stronger than a [small dog] with them?"

Gandalf seemed to get the joke when he started smiling again.

Alex showed a curious expression as he said, "Gandalf do you know the Summon [Small Dog]?"

Gandalf strokes his beard as he said, "Yes. I know many different Summons, though I can't claim to know all of them. Also, as a Summon, I can roughly know the information (information that is relative) that Lord knows so long as the Lord trusts me. Apparently, that's already the case because I know all your status information and where we are."

Alex showed a thoughtful expression as he said, "Well it's only fair. After all, I can also look at your status and you need my trust for that."

Having said that he looked at Gandalf's status.
