For Angel, she could take the initiative in certain actions, even if it seemed like she was at a disadvantage. 

However, the psychological upper hand, or rather, the pleasure she derived, was satisfying for her. 

Manipulating others' emotions, dominating their fates, was undoubtedly a thrilling experience. 

It's like realizing you're feeling superior, especially when you see the other person clearly resisting but helpless to do anything about it.

Angel had no interest in other men because they would fall for her the moment they saw her, which made her lose all interest in them. 

It didn't matter if they were handsome, gentlemanly, or even from a comparable family background. 

The only exception was Sam. Angel wanted to dominate him, to have him all to herself.
