THE POLICE

All left the cottage once the police are gone. The 10 and Jo saw a group of well attired men standing outside the cottage waiting for the 10.

Lawyer Harry: "Gentlemen, this is Miss Josephine, Mr Peter's fiance. And this are the 10 people you are assign to protect. You have been brief on who they are, where they stay, so now get to your positions and do your job." They are very professional. The 10 were led to their respective cottages. They have allocated their resting rooms and schedule of duty during the night. Jo has also arrange for their food to be delivered to them before night is over. After that, the rest of us proceed back to the house.

Once inside the house,

Harry: "Miss Wei, let me introduce the 2 lady bodyguards to you. This is Margaret (Blonde Hair) and She is Jane (Red Hair). They will be outside your room protecting you when you are in your room. The 5 men, this is Tiger (the leader of all), Shawn, Alex, Ken and Joker. They will be in the living room. There's 2 empty room upstairs for them to rest, right?"

Jo: "Yes. At the other end. adjacent to each other. You can decide which room. But sleeping bed..."

Tiger: "No worry Miss Wei, we have ours." Jo nodded.

Jo: "There's drinks and some fruits inside fridge in the kitchen at the moment. Feel free to have them. Tomorrow I will have people to stock up so that all of you can eat. Anyone wants tidbits let me know. I'm a tidbits person, so I can stock more."

Joker: "All of us are tidbits craze. Especially chocolates and chips. It will energize us."

Jo: "Got it. We will have it by the time we return from the police station tomorrow. What about the rest who are protecting the 10?"

Alex: "They need it too to be vigilant."

Jo: "Ok, we shall get lots of them."

Harry: "Miss Wei, you are a nice person. Mr Peter is lucky to have you."

Jo: "Are you heading back to town or staying? I can arrange a cottage for you."

Harry: "Thanks Miss Wei, I'm staying, and Mr Peter has already arrange my lodging. I'm staying at the cottage just behind the greenhouse." He took out the cottage keys from his pocket. "Uncle Seth pass it to me when I arrived."

Jo: "I believe all are famished. I am as it is already almost 9pm. I cook us a simple meal before we have our rest."

Harry: "Thanks Miss Wei."

The bodyguards went up to unpack and freshen up while Harry help himself with the drinks and make phone calls. While Jo was cooking, her handphone ring. "Honey." It was Peter on the line.

Jo: "Thanks Peter. I'm well protected. I'm going to order online cartons of tidbits for all of us on you tab."

Peter: "Go ahead. I've got a supplication card for you, it's in your drawer. Use that to order. I've place it after I received call from Dexter."

Jo: "Thanks. See you tomorrow.Love you." They end their conversations.

The meal was ready and all sit and enjoy their dinner. After that, They volunteer to wash the dishes. And Harry left for the cottage.

Jo: "Make yourself at home. I'm going to rest now." Jo said with a smile and went up to her room. She saw there's a sofa seat outside her room prepared by the bodyguards. Jo enter her room and came with a blanket. Margaret already sitting on the sofa when she came out.

Jo: "At night might be cold, this blanket for you."

Margaret: "Thanks Miss Wei. Scream or call us if you meet any danger, we will be there to protect you." After accepting the blanket.

Jo smile and went back to her room. She turn on the KPL. Nobody in this house knows about it. Peter has engage these bodyguards just in case unforeseen circumstances occur. As well as putting up an act for the enemy to see. Only the group of bodyguards protecting the 10 are truly for them.

Jo turn on her laptop and go to the shopping platform to shop for tidbits and food. Her order from the shopping platform just nice to occupy the whole delivery truck. Delivery time will be by 11am tomorrow. After using the supplication card to pay, she turn off her laptop and went to sleep. Probably due to her exhaustion, she slept through the night.

Her phone rings and she answers

Toby: "Good morning Miss Wei, I'm Toby from Heart Grocery. Your order is reaching you soon, about 15 minutes. Thank you for your order. Anything you need in the future, just give me a call and we'll deliver to you.

Jo: "Thank you for notifying me. Will call you when I need to replenish my stocks." Their conversations end.

Jo woke up, freshen herself and goes down to the front of the house. The bodyguards are all out to wait together for the delivery too.

They saw the truck arrives. They help in unloading the the truck load of groceries and within 15 minutes, the truck drove away. They segregate the cartons of tidbits and food for the house and the 10 cottages. Once done, Jo call for 10 vans to deliver the groceries to the cottages. Harry came to the house with lunch packs as they finished unpacking and stocking the fridge.

Jo: "Thank you Harry for bringing us our lunch. Now we have the groceries and tidbits, do take with you those that you want when you return to your cottage. We have drinks and beers too. help yourself with it."

Harry: "Thanks Miss Wei. No liquor is allow when on duty. Even beer is not allow. I just take drinks and some others with me."

Peter enter just after Harry finished his sentences. All bodyguards stand in salute when they saw Peter. "Boss!" in unison and stand still like an army. Peter give them a nod and wave his hand. They dispersed and about to go upstairs, Jo stop them.

Jo: "Wait, your lunch and bring some of the tidbits and drinks with you to your room." All look at Peter and he nod his head. Permission was granted and they move to take what they want and went up to their rooms.

Harry talk to Peter for awhile then left after taking some tidbits and drink with him. Peter walk to Jo and give her a kiss.

Peter: "Are you alright?" Jo nod her head, but she couldn't hold the tears behind her eyes. Peter embraced her and she starts crying in his bosom until her sob stops.

Peter: "Did you see anyone before you found her body?"

Jo: "No."

Peter: "Tell me all."

Jo told Peter all and Peter began to ponder the whole scene. "Inside job."

Peter says.

Jo: "How you know? You are not at the scene. Who do you suspect?"

Peter: "Let you know once I confirm it." Peter took his phone out and call someone. He hang up after a few words with the other party.

Peter: "We need to go to the police station to give statement, are you up to it?"

Jo: "Yes."

Peter: "We leave after you finish your lunch." Jo nodded. Peter took her hand and guide her to the table to eat her lunch. "Have you eaten?" Jo ask Peter.

Peter nod. He then opens a pack of chips and pop into his mouth. Jo took some and eat too.

Harry came back to the house and along with him 3 cars. The front car will sit 4 bodyguards, middle car Peter, Jo and Harry, back car the rest of the bodyguards. The arrangements has been done.

After Jo finished her lunch, Harry went up to call the bodyguards. The journey to the police station Harry spill information to Peter.

Jo: "Who is this she who keep on mentioning Harry?" Peter turn to Jo,

Peter: "Honey, the she is my suspect murderer." Jo eyes turn big. She wanted to ask more but Peter stop her.

Peter: "I will tell you when we get home."

They reached the police station and the team went to look for Inspector John. They were usher into a special room. Peter, Jo and Harry went inside. The bodyguards stay outside of the room waiting. The bodyguards are sitting on the bench like a well train army soldiers. Every police officer pass by them will look at them, they just ignore all.

5 minutes after Peter, Jo and Harry waited, the Station Chief and the Inspector enter.

Station Chief: "Sorry to keep you waiting Mr Peter. It's nice to see you. I'm the Station Chief, Frederick And this is Inspector John in charging of this case." Peter smile and shook hands with them.

Frederick: "Shall we start?" Peter nod his head.

Frederick: "I understand from Inspector John that It is Miss Wei who found the body. Is it right?"

Jo: "Yes. I was there to collect dinner for the 10 guest and for myself. As I have told Inspector, I couldn't find Aunty Su in here usual area of collection, I went in search of her. I thought maybe she was upstairs her room, so I went up. But the room was empty. I heard water sound emitting from the bathroom, so I went to knock and the door opens. Then I saw Aunty Su's body. A knife was inserted in her chest and blood was oozing out. And I scream."

Inspector: "Did you see anybody?"

Jo: "No."

Inspector: "Nobody at all?" Jo look at Inspector with question eye.

Inspector: "You see Miss Wei, the time of death can be determined by the temperature of the dead body, as well as, the blood flows. I suspect the murderer left the crime scene not long before you went into the house. Therefore, it is important whether you see anybody there."

Jo began to see the light why Peter asked her the same question. Peter hold her hand and smile.

Peter: "Chief Frederick, can I have a word with you privately?"

Frederick: "Sure Mr Peter."

Inspector,Jo and Harry went out of the room.

Peter: "Chief Frederick, I want you to hand the case over to me, and seal it as top secret."

Frederick: "Why?"

Peter: "You no need to know why. I have the Police Commissioner's authorisation letter here. Have a look."

Peter produced the letter and Chief Frederick read it.

Frederick: "Since it is instructed by him, it shall be done."

Peter: "Thank you. Do not brief a word of our conversation to anyone, including Inspector John. Let him investigate for 3 days then stop him. if he ask, say you let another person investigate as you have another important investigation for him to do. Police Commissioner will be contacting you in 3 days time to give you the details." Chief Frederick nod his head.

Chief Fredrick and Peter came out if the room. The moment the bodyguards saw Peter, they stand up from the bench.

Peter: "Thanks Chief, hope to hear good news from you."

Frederick: "It's our duty to catch crimnal. Let you know if anything comes up."

With that, they departed and journey towards home.
