Chapter 3- Joining the meeting

Hearing these words, I was shocked that after failing the awakening why would someone give me attention and high ranking official at that.

"Is my lucky time finally starting to come after all those dire things I faced?" I said to myself while whipping a tear falling from eye in the happiness.

I had given up long before but something showing hope of reaching the dreams once wanted to achieve but was buried deep inside due to not having ability to achieve them even when you put blood and sweat in that.

I properly corrected my cloths that are now messed up after sleeping.

I started to move out of room and reached the outside of office that i was supposed to go in and meet with someone. 

But when I tried to enter the office, two guards outside stooped.

"Hey, who are you? You can not enter this place, there is a meeting going on which is important." First guard said.

"But." I tried explaining myself that I was invited here, but other guard interrupted me. 

"Even if there is no meeting going on, you would still need a invitation or would have to make appointment before you can enter the office. It's not like just anyone can come and enter the office." Other guard said.

I was now embarrassed because they thought I was trying to trespass in the place. I was now wondering in my is my look like those typical people who look like troublemakers.

Before I can suffer from any more humiliation, some one came at that place and it was the officer from the previous day of awakening if I remember correctly.

And my thoughts was on the point because next moment both guards dropped the act of acting all mighty and high.

Both guards in unison said, "we greet the officer, we are at your service if you need anything."

Human behaviour is really easy thing for me to understand after both these lives. People like to threaten and oppress those who are weaker than them to feel the superiority but cower at the presence of strong in fear. This principle is also a method that government and authorities use to let the public stay in check. Because even though government exist. it's effect on public still fear because people don't try to go against the government due to fear of being punished but if that same public have more power than government itself than they wouldn't even care to broke those rules and laws that were abiding by previously.

My trance like state was broken by the next words from the officer.

"Genesis why are you standing here, I have send you the message to go to the office directly without much delay. Anyway, as I was looking for you, let's go together inside." Officer said.

Both guards were now frightened that when they were stopping me, they stopped someone who had received message from officer of this facility himself to come to office. They were now inside thinking it would be for the best if I didn't tell officer that they stopped me and caused me to be late.

But they quickly gathered the determination and composed the uncontrolled emotions. They were now much more experienced in these kind of things and know officer will this incident somehow sooner or later. So, nodding to each other they decided to reveal by themselves as to report this incident in their own words as to let officer see them as guards who were just doing job.

"Officer, we want to apologize that he is late and is stopped because we thought he don't have invitation or prior invitation. We are here t available to receive any kind of punishment that you may see fit." Guards now again said in unison voice.

I was wondering how can be in so much unison every time but seeing them with proper concentration I realized that they are both twins and it was just natural for them to be unison after working for so long to understand each other's thought process.

While I was having such common thoughts, Officer were sweating bullets of sweat because he know if person inside the office came to know about that he had to much longer due to some guards then he will cause a big mess.

But instead of saying anymore words, officer grabbed my hands and said, "Come along with me in office quickly. We can not let that person wait any longer."

As I heard this I came out of my childish thoughts and got shocked because at first I thought it was officer who wanted to meet but from the situation just now it was easily understandable that even some one who more high ranked person is waiting inside.

I didn't moved a bit and said, "Officer before going inside I wanted to ask you of one favour."

Officer was in a hurry so he said, "Make it quick and I will grant it if I can."

"Officer I want you to don't punish these guards because I know they were just doing their jobs and don't deserve any punishment but instead deserve a reward. But If their behaviour was kept like you might receive some complaints about about them from others."I said looking with happy expressions on my face toward the guards. I said this because I know it better than anyone else that it is more good to do someone a favour instead of receiving their enmity just for receiving some temporary happiness by ridiculing them. But my last words was hidden warning laced with poison to those who want to overstep their boundaries. Although, I never punished others but it does not mean that anyone can come around and disturb me.

Although there can be other where other side may think that I am pushover or don't have any guts. But that doesn't apply here, because from the words of officer they would have realized I was invited by someone even more high ranking than officer. Which meant my these words mean I was generous to them for not a problem to them.

Just as I said this, understanding their situation, guards were having the thankful expression inside their eyes that didn't escaped my and I nodded to myself inside my mind at my correct decision.

Officer looked liked he was in deep thought before replying to my next moment instantly, "If you think like that I don't see completing your this favour. Guards you did a good job following work responsibility and I commend you for that but remember one thing for some situation we need to change our behaviour for the better result. Now, I will be going with guy to join that meeting but after coming back I will reward you."

Taking a breath to stop his talking and after a moment officer again talked saying, "Genesis, now let's go and join before it got any late."

"Yes officer." I said.
