TUTORIAL (1)

It all happened in the blink of an eye.

But even for just a few fractions of a second, He felt it fully throughout his body as if watching a slow-motion scene.

What he was feeling at the moment was the experience of 'getting hit by a car.'

It all happened when he was kneeling to collect the coin he dropped on the sideroad, and as if god were playing tricks on him, his drunken friend accidentally hit him in the back causing him to lose his balance and stumble into the middle of the road. Before being hit by an expensive golden sports car, its tires squashed his head down to the ground until his brain and eyes brutally exploded.

Though with that being said, the only thing he could see back then was the black pavement.

But that's not the important part... That part happened right after the incident.

For in that split second before his brain could even feel the pain and process that 'he's already dead.' A mysterious entity appeared and made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

An offer that will forever change his 'fate' and that of others he shall meet.

His name was 'Kimhan Tripanurat.' Nicknamed 'Sol.'

Currently twenty-nine years old. Working as a stuntman, his hobbies are watching movies, anime, and playing games at home during his free time. He's a man who has neither ambition nor any future goals, just living day by day.

He has a very clean background. He never committed crimes and had even assisted in the arrest of pickpockets before. One might even say he's a good citizen of society. On the family side, his father worked for an electronics company while his mother took care of the younger siblings at home.

He occasionally went abroad to work and has a moderate income. Considered to be a very promising person. But as if the gods were playing tricks on him, causing him to die suddenly for a reason that sounds like April Fool jokes. His drunken friend accidentally pushed him into the traffic and was hit by some fancy rich sports car. At most, his death would only be on the third page of the newspaper. and will be forgotten not long after.

But the story in 'that side of the World' was no longer important to him. Or at least for the mysterious entity who is currently watching him. The only thing he could feel was the pain in his head caused by the wheel, grinding his head, exploding it to the ground.

"...A-!"

Sol stood still for a moment before he knelt and vomited. caused by the intense pain that was suddenly sent into the brain. He took a moment to hold his head with both hands and waited for the pain to disappear, then slowly stood up once more with a face full of confusion about the current situation.

At this moment, what lies before him was a vast green field. There weren't any tall buildings or trees in the area, just the grass as far as the eye could see and the clear morning sky.

No matter how he thinks about it, He shouldn't be here at all. Starting from the sky. just before he blinks his eyes, it was still night time around 11:30 p.m. because he had just finished drinking with his friends. But the sky now looks more like midday.

In addition, the geography of the area around him is not a place that can be found in Thailand. Perhaps he was now on a meadow somewhere in Europe. which raises a new question: How did he get here?

Although he wanted to ask the questions out loud to find clues about the current situation. Yet when he looked around him, he couldn't help but keep the question in mind.

'There's no one here.'

Sol thought to himself before he decided to take a walk. in case there might be something else besides the grass far out of sight.

However, before Sol could even take more than ten steps. Something appeared in front of him as if it could sense that he was thinking of 'escaping' from here, with the sound of bells ringing in all directions as if coming from within his head.

"…What the hell?" The young man cursed as he focused his gaze on the thing that appeared in front of him.

What appeared in front of Sol is a translucent text box...

< Congratulations, you have been chosen as the 'World Drifter!' Wandering across worlds without boundaries. Obtaining fames and riches in the multiverse. We wish your new life to be the path of glory that you have always dreamed of. >

"World Drifter...? Wandering across worlds...?"

Sol, who tried to interpret the message, suddenly spoke up with a puzzled expression on his face. before he let out a dry laugh and looked up at the sky. But when he looks up, the message box floated up and obscured the view. It was as if it was following in the direction of his gaze.

Seeing that, Sol tried to move his head around randomly to see if what he thought was true. ...which concluded that 'it's true.'

"...you kidding me right now?"

He tried to poke his finger into the message box. His finger pierced through the text box as if it didn't exist at all. Which baffled Sol even more. At this moment, the man felt like pulling his brain out to see whether he had lost his mind or not.

While Sol is reflecting on his sanity. There was a sound similar to a bell ringing once more. before the text inside the box begins to change into another.

< Preparing the 'TUTORIAL' >

When Sol saw that message, the young man gulped down his saliva and instinctively began to step back slightly. For he felt that something crazy would come out soon giving him another headache.

And as soon as he thought of that, something crazy did indeed appear.

It started with the enormous wind causing the grass in front of Sol to flutter around. He too was slightly pushed back by the wind as well but he pressed against the wind. Preventing himself from getting his body blown away several meters into the sky.

As the wind is getting calmer, a beam of light fell on the center of the whirlwind. Sol led both arms to cover his eyes from the light before slowly lowering his arm as the beam disappeared.

"That's… a person," Sol spoke lightly to himself and flashed a hopeful smile. But after a good look, the smile on his face disappeared. Before the young man muttered to himself softly, "But why is she wearing that strange clothing… And also holding that weird sword…a cosplay?"

"It's like I've seen this somewhere before…" As he was speaking, the message box emitted a notification sound similar to a bell again. Causing the text to change, his eyes widen instantly after reading it.

Difficulty:?

Clear Conditions: Defeat 'Artoria Pendragon Alter'

Rewards: Shop System, World Drift System, Starter Pack (1) >

"Artoria Pendragon... This is clearly 'Fate', isn't it?!"

Sol, who remembered where he had seen the girl before, shouted in displeasure before clutching his head due to another headache once again.

As previously mentioned. Sol's hobbies are watching movies, watching anime, and playing games in his spare time. When it comes to games, one of the games that he spent the most time playing would be the mobile gacha game called 'Fate/Grand Order,' so it wasn't strange that he would recognize all this.

But the point that made him feel so madly baffled was how in the hell did 'SAlter' (Saber+Alter) appear in front of him?

"Besides, Defeating Saber Alter? I don't have any skill or experience, let alone a single weapon. how can I fight? With bare fists? Have you gone crazy?"

While Sol hopelessly tried to review the conditions for clearing this 'TUTORIAL' thing, he complained angrily. Before trying to randomly tap on the message box for a while before it sounded a notification and switched to a new message.

< Say 'status' to view your current stats >

"…Fine." Sol let out a final sigh before he closed his eyes and muttered softly to himself, "This must be a dream. Just keep following the flow. After a while, I will probably wake up by myself."

When he makes up his mind, by stops complicating things and believing that this is all a dream. Sol opened his eyes and looked ahead before uttering the word "Status."

< Sol (Lv.1)

Title: World Drifter

Strength: 1.8 (-)

Endurance: 2.4 (-)

Agility: 2.6 (-)

Mana: 1.6 (-)

Luck: 33 (C)

Original World Power: 0 (-)

Personal Skill: Driving B+, Martial Arts (Fake) C

Servant Skill: N/A

Noble Phantasm: N/A >

The young man remained silent for a while to comprehend what he saw before him. From what he understood, this weird status the system was showing uses the database from Fate because there were many important names from Fate franchises in there such as 'Servant Skill' and 'Noble Phantasm.' And since he somewhat understands what they mean, he wasn't surprised at all to find out that he didn't have any. After all, he's just a regular human, not a Servant.

Aside from that, the title World Drifter probably came from the first message that was announced earlier. As for the passive skill that came up, although it was a bit confusing, He guesses that it probably meant a special ability that he could do. He could at least say with confidence that he's good at driving a car as he had done many car stunts before.

As for his parameter stats… they looked extremely weak. As he recalled, the lowest ranked Servant still had the letter E or E-, but his stats turned out to be - so…

Sol comforted himself that this was probably at the level of an ordinary person. His little magic power was not a surprise. Because in the past, he didn't even know that it existed. As for the Original World Power, he has no idea what that means.

The biggest question he has, however, was why among all these stats he had the highest luck. How is it possible… He looked in disbelief at his Luck stats for a moment before a new message box popped up next to it.

< As you are currently in tutorial mode. The system, therefore, gave a one-time opportunity. Allowing World Drifter to choose 'Servants' or 'Heroic Spirits' to equip them in battle as they see fit. However, after finishing the tutorial mode, The system will take away the 'Servant' chosen by the World Drifter >

< Please mention the name of the 'Servant' or 'Heroic Spirit' you wish to use.

(Choose according to your current situation and status) >

"Hmm... so is it like if I choose a Servant then I will receive the said Servant's power to use in the fight?"

The young man speculated the meaning of the text box in the foreground. But even after speaking it out loud, nothing came back. Although Sol was disappointed, he wasn't exactly surprised that this system didn't give any answers back. After all, given the sentence within that parentheses, this seems like some kind of a trial for him. Testing his abilities, both physically and mentally.

"According to the situation and status, huh?" Sol read aloud as he pondered which Servant he should name to fight Saber Alter.

"Well… given our Mana stats. Got to cut out the Caster class. Also, it's a good idea to choose a Servant that has a high chance of winning, with OP power and all... Hmm... I want to choose the 'King of Babylon.' But since I'm not confident whether that guy's power requires high mana stats or not, let's choose a safer one…"

Sol pondered for a moment as he glanced at the Alter Saber who was still standing motionlessly. Even the arm that was holding her sword didn't seem to move at all, like a mannequin. He contemplated for another five minutes before he let out a sigh with a very worried expression.

"Even though this one has a high chance of surviving… But it looks like I'm gonna get hurt a lot. Plus, the level of difficulty that said '?' doesn't seem good at all, I don't know…"

He closed his eyes and mentally prepared for a moment before starting to stretch his body, warming up. He moved his body slightly and then spoke out the name of the Heroic Spirit he had chosen in his heart with a serious expression.

"Heracles Berserker"

< You have selected 'Heracles (Berserker) Full Set', Rarity: SR.

You have acquired [Noble Phantasm 'God Hand']. >

< To use items, simply mention the name of the item followed by 'Equip' or triple-tap the item. To remove items, say the name of the item followed by 'Unequip' or triple tap on the item.

Some [Heroic Costume] and [Weapon] items have a Servant Skill attached that will be activated automatically after equipping them >

"Wow... This is beyond my expectations."

Sol, who at first didn't expect much from this system. Just thinking that he will gain the Servant's power instantly, was a little shocked by the notification that he had received various items related to the Servant he had chosen… Looking at them made him feel like he was playing some MMORPG.

Of course, he did not hesitate to try triple-tapping these items that appeared in the text boxes to see how it would affect him.

The plain, faded clothes he had been wearing earlier. transformed into a costume of 'Berserker' His upper body was now naked, revealing the fine muscles of the young stuntman. He wore black bracelets and anklets. Along with that familiar Heracles' armored breeches that fit him staggeringly despite Heracles' actual size being quite considerably larger than he was.

Beside him was a large jagged black axe-sword that was even taller than himself. Although it may not look as sharp as it should. but with its size and weight, If this thing was swung into you even once, it wouldn't end with just a bruise.

When Sol tried to lift this thing with one hand like how he remembered from Heracles. He found out that he could actually lift it and was able to swing too, albeit very slowly and far less powerful compared to the original. Because of this, Sol decided that if he had to fight, it would be better to hold it with both hands.

After examining his physical condition. Sol remembered that earlier, the message box in front of him states the Heroic Costume and Weapon he is currently equipped with, will sometimes have a passive skill as well. So he tries opening the status up to see whether he got lucky or not.

"Did I just... become Hercules?"

While Sol is amazed that he is now dressed, wielding weapons, and has the same abilities as Heracles, also known as Hercules, as in the anime he had watched. He was confused about whether he should feel delighted that such an impossible dream could come true in the blink of an eye, or be fearful of this system for having a power that could do such a thing.

However, it wasn't long after the preparations were complete. The message box immediately pops up a new message for Sol. In which it is starting to count down from 10 without asking for his consent at all.

"Seems like it's about to begin."

Sol thought to himself, before using both hands to lift the axe-sword and lifted it onto his shoulder. The man takes a step back to get his footing ready, before directing his gaze forward at the area where his opponent, Saber Alter, was standing.

'Whatever happens, happens. I guess.'

He spat on the ground and prepared to accept his fate for the next five seconds. clenching his teeth for the pain he was sure would come hitting like a truck as soon as the countdown ended.

Driving B+

From working as a stuntman since college. Resulting in a relatively high driving experience. A level that can be seen in action movies. You could even say that he has reached the Hollywood level.

Martial Arts (Fake) C

A skill that's more similar to acting and dancing. Pretending to fight and losing tactfully. Able to deceive others that they have already passed out, depending on which angle they are looking at. Caused by acting in a supporting role, and being trampled by the protagonist for many years in his stuntman career.

My first time translating. Any criticism is accept! (Both for translation and the actual story itself as I am the original Author lol)

Next chapter is probably next week as I got to write the real next chapter in my original language first. (Currently Ch.19)
