That evening, Hazuki, Izumi and I lay in bed because it was getting late.

Not wanting to worry them, I reassured them that the old man just wanted to ask me something, but I was too afraid because of his appearance.

After a bit of back and forth, the whole thing came to an end.

Well, I could not completely dispel their worries as I was currently in Izumi's tight embrace, she was surely very anxious about what happened.

I lifted my head to see her adorable sleeping face. Her brown hair lay softly on the bed, and the birthmark under her right eye was particularly noticeable. Her gentle smile under her soft breathing told me she was enjoying her sweet slumber. Her face is currently glowing with a childlike appearance, but that doesn't change the fact that she is gorgeous.

"Haruto, are you still awake?"

I woke up from mesmerising Izumi and turned around to see that Hazuki was still awake.

"Hazuki?", I rubbed my eyes as I started getting drowsy.

"Are you really okay?" she looked at me with concern in her onyx eyes.

I widened my eyes slightly, 'As expected from the sense of a shinobi or rather a mother?' I noticed that she still had some lingering suspicion.

However, I felt a warm sensation in my heart when I saw her worried look. 'She really cares about me huh?'

Even though I could feel sleep creeping over me, I mustered the last of my strength as I raised my hand and caressed her cheek.

I smiled brightly and replied, "Yes Hazuki, I'm fine!"

"Mmh," she closed her eyes and just felt my touch.

I saw that she looked at ease and I let my mind rest in the world of dreams.

"Yes, you're right, I was just scared, maybe I overreacted..." before Haruto's eyelids closed, he saw Hazuki mumbling something, but he didn't hear the rest.

Hazuki soon opened her eyes in realisation and exclaimed happily, "You called me mummy Haruto," she smiled to herself as her eyes filled with tears, "I thought you didn't see me as a mummy so I was pretty sad, but I guess I was worrying too much," she wiped away the tears that were threatening to fall and glanced at Haruto.

"Huh? Haruto, are you asleep? No, can you please call me Mummy once more before you go to sleep?" she started to gently shake Haruto's body, a little in anticipation as she wanted to hear just one word from him.

But the only answer she 'heard' from him was "Mhm", his face wrinkled and he turned around in Izumi's warm embrace and started to smile blissfully again.

Izumi also felt Haruto's movement and started to cuddle him tighter, putting her head over his as if to protect him from her carnivous mother.

"Moh~", Hazuki had a disappointed look on her face before she smiled a little, "Wait Haru, I will hear the words out of your mouth again," she said determinedly.

She leaned forward a little and kissed the heads of Haruto and Izumi, "Good night, both of you," and took them both into her motherly embrace.

"They're not here either"

"Not here either, strange, where are they?"

I put my seals in my bag and ruffled my hair.

Today is another day where I wanted to monitor my surveillance, but the last few days have been a bit strange.

There have been no results at all! Or rather, apart from the normal population, I haven't sensed any chakra signals from the Anbu's who are supposed to guard me.

Something has changed in my surroundings since the last incident with Danzo. To make sure that Danzo didn't do anything to me, I asked Hazuki if she could activate a genjutsu trigger on me. Of course, I presented the whole thing in a playful manner so as not to arouse suspicion.

But that was not the case. There was no Genjutsu at all, and I didn't feel anything strange at all myself.

Then there was only one possibility. Danzo had stopped guarding me!

The thought wouldn't be wrong at all, 'I didn't know exactly what he wanted until the end, but he must have given up on me because of our last meeting', I couldn't help but burst out in laughter.

'I almost gave up and adjusted my plan, but this way I can carry out my plan without worrying.'

I laughed until I realised that my emotions were starting to get the ahead of me and I composed myself, I wiped the smile off my face and put my finger to my chin. 'I shouldn't act rashly, I'll take a look around before I start the next step in the plan.'

As the saying goes, haste makes waste. One should not act in haste even if one is under stress.

'The last thing I want is my existence, which is an anomaly in this world, to be discovered by Danzo or other bad people.'

It has now been 3 months and I have found out the following.

My surveillance, which watched me every day before the meeting with Danzo, has completely disappeared. Hazuki and Izumi are still being monitored. At home we are watched as a family by the surveillance buildings, which is a bit annoying but not too bad as I have long drawn the curtains to at least block their view into the house.

The amazing thing is that the personal surveillance was only on me. When I was in town with Izumi and Hazuki, I noticed that they had no surveillance at all!

'Looking back, it's actually obvious. Konoha can't muster enough shinobi to guard an entire clan. Since the 3rd Shinobi War and the Nine-Tailed Fox, the number of shinobi has decreased drastically and they can't muster the manpower to personally guard the Uchihas. So, I guess that's why they have settled for surveillance buildings.'

'Tragedies have happened, but at least it is handy for me here,' I breathed a sigh of relief.

The situation is not entirely clear, but just in case, I have my supply of sense seals to help me in situations where I am not sure.

"Now that I can finally do something to make myself stronger," I raised my fist.

"Hey, concentrate Haruto, otherwise the rice will get cold," Hazuki reprimanded me.

"Sorry," I told her, feeling ashamed of acting unconsciously like a child.

Yes, the first step to becoming stronger is to make rice. I formed the hot rice in my hand into a round oval shape and put some seaweed on top. I put it on the table and formed more and more with different flavours of fish, plums and so on.

I glanced to the side and saw Hazuki standing next to me. She was wearing an apron that highlighted her curves and had a hair band so it wouldn't get in the way while she cooked. She was preparing the side dishes. When I asked her to let me cook, she was overjoyed and taught me how to make simple things.

Izumi forgot her lunch box today, so this is extra motivation for me to prepare something delicious for her.

I never thought cooking could be so much fun, so I didn't realise the time was flying by... until I suddenly realised there was no more space on the table because it was full of rice balls.

"You couldn't wait to bring Izumi her food, could you?" Hazuki asked me with a teasing smile.

"Hehehe," I just laughed awkwardly.

I made much more than Izumi... and we can eat.

"But what are we going to do with all that? We can't eat that much... " Hazuki muttered.

I quickly told her, "In that case, you can leave it to me," and started to tell her what I was going to do.

She started giggling a bit and stroked my hair gently. "You really are a good kid, you know," she said, pulling me into a hug, which I returned.

Then she put the food into two bags. One for Izumi's lunch and the other for the rice balls, and handed them to me.

I thanked her with a beaming smile and hurried out.

'Finally it can start,' I thought with great anticipation.
