148 I Didn't Mean Sixty Seconds...

The attack from the snail that emerged from the tree wasn't what she expected would be the first trouble to encounter and Cassie knew it was just the beginning. 

The snail on the ground dissolved slowly and became nothing but a sticky thing on the ground. Run! That is what they could have done after killing it. But there they were, still standing. Perhaps it was from the shock or the fact that it was the most bizarre thing. 

Cassie didn't have to ask Lisa if they would ever encounter something like that again. If anything, she knew that was nothing. Wishing her father had told her about his journey, Cassie finally turned to Lisa and informed her they should get going.

"Do you think it is dead?" Lisa asked.

"We practically saw its intestines melting, the body dissolving into the ground. What more do we expect from Lis?" 

"You are right. Should we touch it and figure out what it was?"
