Chapter 97

"Are you not supposed to be thinking about the Elizabeth who just broke up with you?" Lora questioned.

"Oh, about that, I don't think I have anything to think about because all I did was help her," I replied.

"Please tell me what caused the breakup," she inquired.

"Please leave me alone so I can eat in peace," I yelled at her.

She was taken aback by my behaviour; I had never been so rude to her before. I stood up in rage and stormed out of the house, slamming the door behind me.

I walked down the street with my hood up, making it difficult for me to express my rage. I received a phone call after a few minutes of walking.

It rang once, but I didn't answer because I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone, and then it kept ringing and ringing, which I ignored.

I calmed down after a few minutes of walking. Then I reached into my trouser pocket for my phone. I took it out and unlocked it to see who was bothering me with multiple phone calls.

Fiona is who it turns out to be. I assumed it was Lora or Lydia who had been bothering me with phone calls. I'm curious what she expected from me.

"Okay, here she comes once more. She'll be calling me for the tenth time today "When I saw her incoming call, I thought to myself,

I answered her phone call even though I knew I shouldn't. "Could I please see you, Adam?" she asked.

"It depends on what you're calling for; that determines whether or not I'll show up, and why do you want to see me in the first place," I inquired."We have something to discuss," she said.

"We have something to talk about," I said again.

I yelled angrily, "You must be insane, in my opinion. What the hell are you talking about that you can't come to my house and meet me instead of trying to trick me into falling into the trap you've set for me? This time, I don't think that's going to work on me."

"I'm going to hang up if you don't have anything else to say," I added.

"All right, I've got one more thing to tell you," she said.

"By the way, you only have a few seconds to speak," I replied.

"Okay, when you're ready to hear what I have to say, come over to Miss Lisa's house. I'll be there waiting for you "she said as she hung up the phone.

I began to wonder how she knew about Miss Lisa's house, but I'm not sure whether I should go over there and meet her or ignore her as if I didn't hear everything she just said.

Is that possible, though? I believe that not showing would be best for me, so that I do not fall into her trap again. She knows I'd show up if she told me she was at Miss Lisa's house.
