Chapter 95

“Thanks,” I appreciated it. "That reminds me of the investigation you were working on. How is it going?" I asked.

"Ohh that’s true, I forgot to keep you informed of the investigation. I think there’s a lot behind the case, but I’m still digging. I have to see the bottom before another person gets hurt," she responded.

"Okay, just make sure you are careful out there," I said. "And have you seen the last body?" I asked.

"Nope, there isn’t any sign of him, that his body was in that house," she answered.

"Maybe he escaped before the attack," I suggested.

"Yeah, he could have done that. I already have the wolf trackers to track him down," she said.

"Wolf trackers!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah, wolf trackers," she said.

"Like why are they called wolf trackers?" I questioned.

"They are werewolves whose ability to smell is different from other werewolves, which allows them to be able to track down anyone easily with their scent, so we call them wolf trackers," she explained.

I replied, "Oh, that’s nice," I said, replying. I believed if I told Nicholas about the wolf trackers, he could accept that we should use them in tracking down Alaric, I reasoned.

"Let's head inside the school; classes will be starting soon," she reminded me.

"That’s true, let's go," I said.

We both headed to the school building. While walking, we continued our discussion.

"Me and Elizabeth are not dating anymore," I revealed to her.

Lydia told me yesterday, I'm sorry," she said softly.

Lydia must have told you about everything that happened, I suppose," I joked.

"Hmm, yeah she did but asked me not to tell you anything until you tell me by yourself, which you have done. That’s why I’m telling you all this," she said.

Lydia, with her big mouth, talks a lot, "I said jokingly." "That’s even her over there walking ahead of us," I added, pointing to her.

"Oh cool, let's try to walk fast in order to catch up with her," Ellie said warmly. ****** $**

I brought Nicholas and Mr. Fred down to Miss Lisa's. We walked into the house. I walked to the window to have a peep outside to be sure if we were not being followed.

Ellie and Lydia were present, except for Jack, who I didn’t invite, because he doesn’t really know much about what’s going on.

We had our seats in the living room while I started the conversation. "Ellie, show Nick the dead body pictures you took," I said.

Ellie reached for her phone from her pocket and, finally unlocking and lunching her gallery app, she turned the phone over to Nicholas.

"What the fuck happened here?" Nicholas said.

"The family was attacked by an unknown supernatural," Ellie revealed.

"So we want to ask if you have any idea of what could have caused this," I interrupted.

Nicholas didn’t give any response. It seems like he was thinking of what happened to them. Maybe he could have had any idea of what happened to the family.
