Chapter 131

The closer I got, the person looked more familiar to me. When I finally got to the person, it turned out to be my adopted mum's dead body. I became devastated immediately I saw her body.

Tears rolled down my cheeks. I cried out really badly, just like a small baby. I didn’t believe what I saw. I went down on my knees beside her, weeping badly.

"No!" I shouted.

"Why, why, why did you do this to me?" I cried out loudly. They must have attacked when I realised Lora was also in the house.

I crawled to her room, because I was noticing that someone was in the room. Getting into the room, I found Lora on the floor. She still seemed to be alive, but she wasn’t moving. I had to get closer to her.

I extended my hand towards her to tap her to confirm if she was still alive. She woke up all of a sudden and turned to me. I was startled. She grabbed my neck, trying to choke me. I held her hands, struggling to escape from it.

She had long nails, opened her mouth and wanted to bite me with her fangs, and I screamed.

I didn’t feel anything biting me. I opened my eyes slowly to see whether she actually left me when she had gotten back to her normal sense. I finally opened my eyes completely.

I found out I woke up in my bed, but my eyes were still a little bit clear, but I was still doubting if I was actually dreaming all this while.

"Adam, are you alright?" Lora asked.

Immediately, I heard her voice. My eyes opened wide. I raised my back from the bed to hug her. It was truly a dream, but it better be a dream. I wondered how I was going to leave my life without my family. I would also fail one of my major responsibilities, which was to protect my family no matter what it was going to cost me. I separated from the tight hug.

"It’s okay," she said calmly.

"Where is mom?" I asked.

"She stepped out for a while," she replied to me.

She said softly, "AndI hope you are cool. It looks like you had a terrible dream."

"Yes I did; the dream was really terrible," I said.

But "isn’t that weird for you, having a terrible dream in the afternoon?" she reasoned.

"That is true, though. I didn’t think of that," I replied.

"How terrible was it though, because it seems like you lost someone you care for dearly in the dream?" she asked.

But I think you should get a shower first. You are sweating a lot. Then after that, you will tell me, and I also have something to tell you," she added. I looked all over my body. I was covered in sweat. I think I should have a shower.

“Okay, let me go and have a shower, I will be back soon,” I said.

“Yeah you should, it will even make your body to be calm,” she said.
