THE VISIT

MAYA

Maya could not tell what to feel or think at that very moment. She didn't seem like she was going to leave without giving out a piece of her mind, seeing how pissed she looked.

Maya took a quick glance at Jason who seemed not to have noticed, as he was so engrossed in tearing his chicken.

"Nice to see you again, Alpha Jason." That was when he raised his gaze at her.

"What are you doing here, Diane ?"

She suddenly let out a light chuckle. She drew out a chair and sat next to him. She acted as though Maya was never there from the beginning. The nerve she had.

"I thought you might have forgotten me. Turns out, I'm still very important to you, that's good to know," she uttered while staring at Maya's direction, giving Maya a sinister smile.

"Oh, lest I forget, this is your mate. The all famous female Alpha. It must be so good having such a mate, not so?"
